"The defining worst decision of my life was attending this college for theater and music. I was dealing with a lot in my life at the time and having health issues, and instead of anyone there really providing any insight or providing any guidance, it was called “take my money and mortgage my future” so that the faculty could fund the program for those students they really felt worthy of their investment and the performance/teaching careers of the faculty. It is a program that preys on young performers dreams while providing a mediocre education to singers, little to no career guidance, few if any industry contacts (it is located in rural NY) and running them ragged for four years with multiple ensemble and concert attendance requirements so they are too tired to notice that all this busy-ness is leading them absolutely nowhere. It is a straight-line to a lifetime of admin positions and poverty, so do yourself a favor and attend college in NY or LA if you want a stage career."

"Yes, 52 years ago I graduated, but the memories are still cherished. Fredonia took a chance on me and let me transfer in. It was a time in turmoil yet Fredonia provided a calm in the storm. Special thanks to Professors Benton, Stanley, Boenig, and Mantai who were always there to guide and assist. They, along with their peers, laid the foundation for what Fredonia State has become today. It's much bigger today than then but I smile when I read that it has retained its small town character today. Fredonia gave me a foundation that was invaluable. Sometimes the best comes in small packages. Go Blue Devils!"

"This is a fantastic school for education. The course I took here really assisted me during other teaching positions such as the Peace Corps and gaining my Master's degree. I love the campus and the professors. The English department and Education departments are fantastic. I learned so much at this school. It is a small campus, no more than 6.000 students. If you do not like small towns do not go here. I loved it because it was so small. I became very familiar with everything and it felt like a second home."

"I loved being a student at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Overall, my experience attending classes there and living on campus was very positive. The dorms are nice and everyone was very welcoming. In addition, there is plenty of off campus housing."

"SUNY Fredonia is a smaller school, but big enough for plenty of activities and classes to chose from. It is located right off of Lake Erie which is nice to go to in the warmer months. Everyone is very helpful who works on campus and I've also never met any means students either. It's a small town kind of feel while providing the experience of a large college. I enjoyed going to school here. All of their programs are very thorough and they offer tons of courses and degree programs. It is a great place to go to school!"

"SUNY Fredonia is a small but diverse college, which allows for a better student to teacher ratio. Personally, this helped me learn a lot better as I could more easily communicate with my professors. The music program at Fredonia was absolutely fantastic. I was given many performance opportunities both on and off campus and expanded my knowledge of music greatly. There are a variety of music courses that are open to both majors and non-majors. Fredonia also has guest speakers and lectures quite often throughout the school year along with different workshops. There are many social activities and clubs on campus from Relay for Life to movie showings and bingo. This campus creates the perfect balance between fun and learning, which definitely takes the stress from school away. I would highly recommend attending Fredonia to any prospective students as it is not only educational, but affordable, fun, and safe."

"The State University of New York at Fredonia is a small, yet comfortable campus. Many courses are small in terms of enrollment, allowing students the opportunity to be more than a face in the crowd. With well over 100 extra curricular activities to chose from, students are sure to find something they can be involved in. From sports to academics, from honors societies to special interest clubs, there is something for everyone."

"The graduate program is effective in getting students to think deeper about their field of study, to grow, and to apply new skills."

"I learned and grew a lot, but the only useful classes were ones that provided "real world experience" working with local businesses. I paid a lot of money for a piece of paper, but in addition to my academics, I learned far more about how to function on my own and the experience was well worth it, for me. It's definitely not for everyone and people shouldn't go to college just because it's expected. They should wait until it's something they desire to do by their own accord."

"SUNY Fredonia is a great campus to meet people, work hard, earn a degree, and make positive advancements. The faculty are caring and supportive. Financial aid is not that easy to come by, though, especially at the graduate level."

"The TESOL program at SUNY Fredonia is culturally inclusive and preaches that type of approach to prospective TESOL educators forming their own teaching ideologies. They offer an Option 1 program for students who have their teaching certification in their undergrad, but also an Option 2 program for students without an undergraduate education background, with a more extensive focus on teaching and in-classroom instruction. They also offer Project BELA, which sponsors programs for English Language Acquisition and service coordination within the surrounding communities."

"SUNY Fredonia has made me work hard resulting in my learning a lot. My professors are always available when I have questions and guide my learning in a positive way. The campus is beautiful, clean, and inspiring, but the local economy is not healthy. This may effect, if not already, the campus. I've had to do a lot of leg work and asking of questions however to find answers to questions that should be addressed to students transferring in and to students in general. Better assignment prompts and examples would have helped very much. As a teacher myself, I know the importance these have for students' understanding."

"SUNY Fredonia withholds standards that every professional in the field wish to withhold. With the perfect mix of clinical and research based practice, SUNY Fredonia has a well-round Speech-Language Pathology program. With supportive staff and great campus this has not only been the school I have achieved my undergraduate degree at but also where I'm pursuing my graduate degree as well."

"This is a very good grad program. It is thorough and of quality, the professors care about the field and it shows. Some things could be given more time for learning and practice, but the theory is all given. It is also handy having a clinic on campus, as well as the opportunity to be placed off-campus for a change in setting. It is a very nice, small town where the school is set, and the campus reflects it's surroundings."
