"The pros about attending my graduate program that it is very competitive. The professors are top notched and are willing to work with you to help you achieve your professional goals. Because it is a small program, you do get to know those in the program faster and people are very approachable. The department is very open to new ideas and is willing to work with other departments to help you with your research. The only con to the program is that some of the courses are only offered once a year."

"This is a great campus that offers a lot of variety but on a small campus. You are able to receive the personal attention necessary for academic success. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. I would recommend this campus to anyone. I am a graduate student but I would definitely suggest Texas A&M Commerce to parents are looking for a focused campus for their newly graduated student entering college. I have most enjoyed my journey at A&M. My professors make themselves available and offer a lot of assistance to the doctorate students. This campus is thumbs up to me."

"At the point that I initially contact the University, everyone has been quite informative and helpful. I was able to ask questions and get connected to the appropriate people to get answers. The community of students is awesome also. So far, so good."

"The pro's of this program are endless. The Graduate program of History at Texas A&M University-Commerce more than prepares the student for their future job or studies. The program focuses on American history, but courses in a variety of topics, including medieval studies, are available as well. There is an excellent part of the program, called option three, where a student can focus on getting a master's degree towards teaching college students. The teacher's are very helpful and accessible. Student diversity in Commerce, Texas is one of the highest in the state. The University is located in a small town, yet it is not too far from Dallas."

"Texas A&M Commerce is an excellent campus to further your education. It has grown tremendously over the last five years. They offer a variety of programs in various locations. Due to the fact that Commerce is technically in the country and is about an hour away from Dallas, they offer classes in Mesquite and other towns. They have the variety of classes being offered on the web which is also useful. I would advise anyone to go TAMU. It is perfect for the student who really wants to focus on education without the distraction of the big city but close enough to go to the big city. There's just enough social life. The professors are acessible and knowledgeable."

"Staff in the admissions and advising offices are not helpful. Professors are so-so. It's a relatively inexpensive school with low entrance requirements so I guess you get what you pay for."

"I am currently in the process of earning a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communications degree from Texas A & M University - Commerce. I'm very new to the program, but so far I feel that I definitely made the right choice. The program offers a terminal degree and is focused on creative methodologies, MFA/MBA interdisciplinary classes and Pedagogy. Also, the class size is small, which allows for a more intimate learning environment."
