"I had to pay for my daughter classes that she never got to attend do to TWU telling me not to cancel the classes because of the status of her Fasfa then later charge me for those classes. They gave us the running around from fall to spring until she was unable to attend spring as well and the excitement of her wanting to attend went out the door so when they say they are there for their students that's a lie"

"Hands down the worst program I have ever been a part of. I have 5 degrees and this was awful. They have very poor communication. The professors are sitting doing nothing and earning a paycheck. That’s a good side gig. They copy and paste emails with wrong dates and for previous semesters not changing it to the correct information. We literally taught ourselves. I would never recommend this program to anyone. Teachers in general are condescending and don’t treat other adults with respect. I had three really good professors throughout the whole program. They expect you to get your stuff in on time but do they grade timely? NO! We didn’t even get info on commencement. We had to Google it! A nice email stating where to park, time to be there, the program etc would have been nice. Nope we are all left still figuring it out on the day of graduation. Terrible terrible school that should give a partial refund to every single student in this masters program."

"My time in the TWU dental hygiene program can only be described in two words, life changing. I had my share of ups and downs but each experience helped mold me into a confident and capable dental hygienist. This program not only provides its share of intellectual challenges but also an environment that fosters student success. The faculty and curriculum more than prepare one for the professional world. TWU's dental hygiene program is overall an excellent place to learn this craft and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enter the dental hygiene career."

"The management is so unprofesssional and always keep changing things!! They dont care about students. Some teachers keeps grudge with students if we complaint against them. That is wrong, they should improve instead of taking revenge with students. Ive personally known people who have been depressed from being in dental hygenist program."

"I loved the program, campus, and faculty at Texas Woman's University. When I entered my degree program, I was a transfer student with a very science oriented background and limited music training. I was terrified that I wouldn't be "good enough" or wouldn't be able to achieve my dream of being a music therapist. Every professor encouraged me and took their time to make sure I felt confident in my abilities. I left with minimal student loans compared to my friends from other schools. I also left knowing I had been trained well and established strong, lasting friendships in the process."

"Texas Woman's University is a small school, but it does not lack anything that a large university has. Although the name implies women only, man are allowed into undergraduate and graduate programs. It has outstanding academics. The dental hygiene school is one of only five 4-year universities offered in Texas. With it's small campus, it caters to many non-traditional students."

"Texas Woman's University has been such a blessing to me. They are extremely flexible and work with you as students. They truly understand the work/life/balance so many of us are tackling. I had some of the greatest professors there and learned so much about my area of study. They really prepare you for the world whether you are ready or not. My area of study was in public health promotion and education and my professors kept encouraging my cohort to become Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) after we complete our degree. They even encorporated some of the CHES content into their classroom materials. I am extremely happy to say that I obtained my CHES because of them and it has helped my resume become more attractive for the workforce."

"I would not recommend this school of Nursing. Nurses are familiar with the term 'older nurses eating their young'. The Dean's and Instructors at this school are very authoritarian and prefer nursing students kiss their behinds. They participate in arbitrary and capricious grading. Avoid this school if you are pursuing nursing education."

"I loved this school!! It was small enough to keep you from feeling overwhelmed, yet big enough to allow you to feel like you received the true college experience. The campus is easily walkable and the facilities are top notch. Just a few years ago, they built a new fitness center which is truly top of the line. In terms of academics, they are phenomenal! The teaching staff is highly-acclaimed and there are typically no more than 50 students in a classroom (this number may be greater now). I really loved the way the teachers connected with us during class, I always felt as though they were approachable after class and during office hours. One of the greatest benefits of attending TWU is the athletics. They have a phenomenal gymnastics team, which is the only college-level team in the state of Texas. Similarly, they have volleyball, basketball, soccer, and softball team who have won a number of awards. All of the games are free for students and the facilities are small and create a really welcoming environment. The school is located in a great city, very close to the University of North Texas. This is a nice touch for those looking to experience a college-level football game and gives you the opportunity to connect with more students. Denton is also a charming small-town city that has been upgraded to feel more modern. The downtown area, known as the square, is home to a number of great bars and restaurants, as well as coffee shops for studying. It is an incredibly safe area and school, one I would feel comfortable sending my own children to."
This school is a joke!

"This school is such a joke. It's a shame that there are only 24 reviews. These reviews make the school seem reputable but students (especially graduate) have different opinions. Professors are low quality, lazy, and unethical. The school is cheap for a reason. BEWARE."

"I was fortunate to do the Associates to Master's degree program they offered in 2003-2006. It was phenomenal and intense. I found it challenging and supportive at the same time. Texas Woman's University is a public college that feels like a private school. The access to instructors is commendable and the structure of classes almost felt tailored to my needs as a working student. The most impressive thing I found about TWU was how they accommodated working mothers. We had mothers breastfeeding in class while others would in infants in car seats during the lecture halls. This was a common sight during my Master's programme and I really appreciated seeing this. The mothers worked just as hard and anyone else and found acceptance in the school's culture."

"Texas Woman's University pioneered the first physical therapy program in Texas to award the Masters and DPT degrees in the field, and the only program to offer the Ph.D. The long-term excellence of the physical therapy program at TWU, along with the supplemental learning labs and the Ph.D. fast track option, are a few of the attributes that enticed me to pursue a degree at this University. I understand the benefits of putting knowledge to practice; and the learning labs support and provide me with the opportunity to work alongside licensed physical therapists, where I receive high quality assistance and apply my classroom experience to enhance my learning. Lastly, considering that TWU offers over 500 clinical sites to choose from, showcasing the healthy and consistent relationships that the University has with various clinical sites across the United States, I have access to quality clinical experiences. This is the most important factor to me because many other Texas DPT programs are having difficulty accessing clinical sites due to the saturation of programs."

"I visited UTA, Baylor and TWU before decided on my BSN program. Baylor staff was supportive, but the school was out of my budget! UTA had a solid program, but TWU felt like the best fit. PROs: The staff was very supportive. I had a challenging time in Dr. T's pharmacology class, and would go to her with questions after each test. She took her personal time to help me understand what I had missed. Because of her help and A LOT of dedicated studying, I increased my test score from first test to last test by 30 points. They have a beautiful new campus and lot of room, so the environment is condusive to studying. Professional, I've now worked with several of their faculty who are innovative and work closely with area hospitals so their students are prepared for the workforce, and also so their alumnis have solid career choices. I felt prepared when I graduated to be a nurse. CONS: There are several classes that I felt didnt make the best use of my time. They weren't clinically based (like an aging class), so check the degree plan!"

"Texas Woman's University is an excellent choice for students interested in a smaller university and students who are interested in focusing on academics. TWU is an extremely inclusive community with exceptional health care programs. Classes are small and professors available to give attention to students."

"I didn't truly realize how well prepared we were at TWU until I became a working clinician. I'm so thankful for the skills and wide knowledge base I acquired during PT school although that is just the beginning of each TWU student's potential. Not to mention, the faculty is amazing."

"As a working clinician, when you mention to people that you graduated from TWU, people already expect that you're great! TWU by far was the most rewarding educational experience I could've asked for. Professors are so open to helping you and your classmates will always be there to help you. The experience that all the professors have is unique and every single one of them is definitely more than qualified to fill your 3 years of grad school with knowledge. Amazing opportunities being in the medical center. So much more that I could say but just know that TWU is known for making excellent clinicians!"

"I loved Texas Woman's University while I was there and I am very proud to say that I earned my degree from this school. This is the cheapest university to attend and receive your doctorate of physical therapy. This is one of the biggest reliefs now that I am paying back my loans!"

"TWU (Houston campus) offered an absolutely excellent array of hands on experiences throughout the program. Being located in the largest medical center in the world has a huge, and positive, impact on the instruction and the ability to see a wide variety of real-life patient examples. Additionally, there were frequently continuing ed courses or other "extra" learning opportunities offered through the campus or other nearby schools that were offered for free or at a discount for TWU students. Overall, if you're looking for a program that will not only prepare you for your career but also give you an edge with extra learning opportunities and excellent didactic and hands on training, this school is a good fit."
