"The faculty at TCNJ provided me with every resource that I could possibly need to succeed in earning my degree. I was able to develop close personal relationships with my professors, my advisor, and even the head of my department. I felt fully supported through my entire undergraduate experience."

"I was a finance major and economics minor at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). The business school at TCNJ is top-notch in terms of faculty quality and academic rigor. For the most part, the professors, and adjuncts are extremely knowledgeable on their specializations and are attentive to student concerns. The job prospects post-graduation are decent as well, and a host of career fairs, student-organizations, and networking events offer a good place to kick-off. Additionally, the business school contains a variety of career-related workshops and information sessions (resume building, interview practice, etc.). Still, like most other business schools, the curriculum and student-body are philosophically monochromatic, their highest goals seeming to end before reaching the peek of Maslow's hierarchy. Of course, it is what you make of it, but the atmosphere and culture can be a bit off-putting, the engine of both being the subordination of learning relative to the prospect of doing the next thing "because it'll look good on your resume". That being said, the faculty are fantastic and helpful, and should you actually show some care for the material and your areas of study, you will get more out of the business school than one typically expects. At TCNJ in general, there is an abundance of extracurricular activities and a diverse collection of academic programs. The campus itself is nice, and the new campus town addition makes TCNJ's slight geographic isolation a bit more bearable. However, Princeton is a 25 minute drive away, so if you have a car on campus, that is always an option. The dining hall, Eickhoff, gets a bad wrap around campus, but it is miles above the dining halls of other schools. The library is large and accommodating and the new STEM building is beautiful and filled with advanced tech for STEM majors. Off-campus housing is affordable and decent in quality, and on-campus housing is decent. Overall, TCNJ is a 7/10 across the board."

"The College of New Jersey is one of the northeast's best kept secrets. It is a public school with affordable tuition and high education standards. It is commonly ranked as one of the top institutions in the northeast United States year after year. The community of students are amazing, I have made some of my best friends at the college and met my current girlfriend of 6 years there. The campus is beautiful and has a great layout and is easy to get around. The college has an award winning athletic departments and is one of the most competitive schools in the entire country for Division III athletics. I highly recommend this school, its hard not to enjoy every facet of it and my experience there was extraordinary."

"The College of New Jersey was a challenging school with very compassionate professors that would always find time to talk or assist you in any way possible. The education department was beyond my wildest dreams! The classes prepared me for my career (elementary education) and how to obtain the career with mock interviews with principals from local schools."

"The best part of the education program at TCNJ is that starting sophomore year, you are inside the classroom doing projects and learning from teachers. I was placed in kindergarten, first grade, and third grade for practicum and first grade for student teaching which gave me a great view of elementary grades. My professors really cared about all their students and all but one took time out of their day to help me to succeed outside of classroom hours. They really want you to succeed because your success will turn into your future students successes. Although they did an amazing job of preparing me for classroom teaching, they failed to focus in on all the extras that teachers must do. The meetings, professional development, paperwork including IEPs/504s, and more. As far as being ready inside the classroom, I was very well prepared but it was those few but important things outside the classroom that I was not prepared for."

"The College of New Jersey is uniquely situated as a public, liberal arts college. It's dedication to its students is obvious through it's beautiful campus and amazing professors. I am forever grateful for my education and overall experience at TCNJ. I majored in psychology and  a minor in women's and gender studies and found many new worlds opened to me through my classes. Wonderful place."

"I completed my masters program through a satellite program run by The Regional Training Center. They used The College of New Jersey as their parent school. I found that the professors were knowledgeable and the staff was very helpful. The class sizes were smaller so I knew that I could receive individual attention."

"TCNJ is a very open and honest community, while the Women's and Gender Studies program emulates the same atmosphere, it also provide a space for critical reflections and intimate teaching moments. I would recommend it to all people who are challenging themselves to be a part of the movement to change this unpredictable world we live in."

"I really enjoyed my time at TCNJ. The school is beautiful, the professors are dedicated to promoting the best learning environment for their students. The students and campus have a certain culture that is so welcoming and truly add to the experience of being a student there. Even as a transfer student who lived off-campus, I always felt so connected tot he college. The psychology department is wonderful and the experience they provide for the students is one that is unique as I frequently discuss with others in the same field. I highly recommend this school especially the psychology and education program."

"I feel that the Health and Exercise Science:Teaching program prepared me more than any other college could have for my position. TCNJ is a small campus, with great people, great academics, and offers a great experience. The "hot college" is rapidly growing and becoming more competitive and offering much more to its students beyond graduation. The campus is beautiful and the administration is constantly looking to improve its landscape and the attractions to its students. There is no better place in New Jersey for an affordable A+ education."

"Quiet liberal arts college, certainly more of a study school than a party school. I have never had a single teacher at this school that I did not like, which is certainly a first; the permanent hires are generally better than the adjuncts though. Comfortable but small library, so take advantage of inter-library loans. The history department knows what they're doing, though I recommend taking classes that are less attractive to fulfillment of history requirements among the general population, so you can go more in-depth. Be prepared to skip sleep to read a thousand books if you take multiple history courses at once."
