"GW's counseling program is excellent in ways. You are getting a solid education from professors who are top in their field. The professors really do care about your education. But the down side is, EVERYTHING is so expensive. From tuition to cost of living. It can be very rough."

"George Washington University is a very excellent school. Located in the heart of DC, you learn so much about life and culture in your surroundings, while also receiving a very solid education from George Washington. My biggest complaint is the cost of tuition is unreal, with little financial aid given. Also the cost of living is ridiculous and it is tough to get by and adds to your stress of school."

"GW is a very excellent school. I am getting a solid education here. I am positive that I will be able to get a job in my career field once I am done with school here. The negatives are that they weren't exactly honest about what you were getting when you entered the program when it came to things like financial aid and program length. Also, the cost of living is ridiculously expensive."

"GW is a really good school and it is a good program to get into. You will really learn a lot from educated people that are currently in the field themselves. The negative thing about GW is how expensive it is to attend and the cost of living is ridiculously high."

"I feel like I am getting a quality education at a quality institution. So far, my classes have been challenging and I have grown in my career specific knowledge. The cons of my program is the amount of help/involvement from professors. I have not met with my advisor once, however, I have been able to successfully navigate the program by myself."

"My program is accredited by CACREP, which will be highly valuable throughout my career. The coursework required by this organization has guided GW in creating a highly experiential and valuable program of studies for students in GSEHD."

"Pros: one of the first art therapy programs, faculty are leaders in the field, research opportunities, location, trauma training, small class size, student-centered approach, focus on importance of diversity cons: commuting can be expensive"

"I love my classes at GWU. I think my professors are attentive to the students and are knowledgeable about the subjects. Unfortunately, GWU is very expensive. It is expensive to live in DC and is difficult to work while being a full time student."
