"I have been a student for 7 months and still not received my financial aid money. Get the run around every time I call. It's ridiculous. But they sure take your money like lightning. This school really need to step up their game with military students. It's a shame"

"Well first start by saying I love this school! I have had other online classes for my Associates at my local college and another school. The program the other schools used was confusing to navigate and the professors completely changed the way assignments were presented and worked every class so I never knew what to expect. But with Ashford there is uniformity as far as when things are due which you have no idea how much that helps when you have so much else going on in life. I never had to worry about keeping track of when assignments are due because it was the same for every class and I absolutely love that. The Website Layout is great it's also the same for every class navigating it is easy. What is really neat is that one class week on Tuesday to Monday instead of the traditional Monday to Sunday. This really helps me because my kids have a lot going on on the weekends with their extracurricular so trying to rush and do homework on a Sunday isn't feasible but having that extra weeknight at the end of the week is really helpful."

"I see so many people upset with how bad Ashford is, but all of the classes along with the staff were incredibly helpful. And yes, I have debt, but everyone does. I'm working on applying for my MSW and got a great job because of my BA. Graduation on stage in Iowa and seeing them gain accreditation during my time there showed they care. I also got to see the first class of campus students graduate. The only negative I saw (and this happens at every college) is that higher education programs force you do work and actually learn the material. Since it's all online, it really helps you gain a sense of passion and if you do it right, follow through as well. I'm incredibly satisfied and sad at the same time because they don't have an MSW program and my guidance counselor straight up told me, that he didn't want me to spend money on a degree that didn't necessarily set me up for positions I wanted. And for the record, I did 18 months at Ashford and a little under $20,000 in debt, which translates to less than a semester at my second school of choice for my Masters, USC, which can run you upwards of $50,000 a year."

"I think that Ashford is a wonderful educational institution. I was hesitate about going back to school and doing it online, but it was just what I needed. The instructors were remarkable, engaging and helped me out tremendously when I was going through some tough moments. I have gained so much knowledge and skill and see it in my everyday life, while interviewing, speaking about research with others and helping others with their papers. Kudos to my Alma Mater."

"I attended Ashford University from 2012 Until I graduated with my bachelor's degree in November 2015. Ashford has accelerated courses that are fast pace and require hard work. However, if a student is willing to work hard they will do well and get a quality education. I do feel there are some professors that are a little unfair in their grading; almost seeming to dock my grade so they felt like they were doing their job whilst offering little or no reason for the lowered grade. With that said I believe that most of the professors that I had were fair in their grading and I graduated with a 3.95 GPA overall and a 3.97 in my major which is psychology. I do plan to attend the Master's of Arts in Psychology at Ashford as well. One last thing, Ashford is very military friendly so if you are in the military and looking to go back to school or transfer to another school I highly recommend Ashford University."

"I have been attending Ashford for two years. From the moment I spoke with Megan, who was basically my recruiter, I knew Ashford was for me. I am an over thinker. Every decision has to be planned and thought about. I was researching and speaking with 3 other online schools. Ashford blew them all out of the water. The tuition is a bit high. There have been 2 cost increases, but that is life. You get annual raises at your job right... how do you think the extra funds get to you? The teachers have all been great. My adviser and the financial aide department have helped me numerous times. There was a mix up with paper work and instead of sending me a bill for a semester my financial aid specialist called me to tell me which form I had not returned. The classes are challenging. I am a mom of three busy kids and i work full time. I have a 3.96 GPA which I am very proud of. This school is fantastic. Hard work and effort are required. If you are lazy or do not like to write well thought out and researched papers you should not attend any college. Ashford is a great choice for someone who wants to succeed because every staff member at Ashford is there for your success!"

"This is the worst educational system I have ever dealt with. Constantly being transferred over and over. Wasn't able to really speak because every time I did she would interrupt me and/or talk over me. Telling me I was not told something because they don't tell students this or that. For this place it only comes down to money they don't care who is successful and graduates. This is probably why they have a 39.9% graduation rate. They are extremely unprofessional rude. No organization at all. Stay away from this place and go to a real university, be sure to do your research. I would put no stars but that isn't an option."

"Ashford is a great school. For me it was my first college experience and I was able to advance my career. The classes are interactive and the instructors/professors are very knowledgeable. The strong points of Ashford is the student services, the interaction of the classes and the help you get from the instructors/professors. The weak points is Ashford is a bit spendy, overall the cost is comparative to most online classes. I felt what you get far out weighed the cost. I recommend Ashford for the student that wants flexibility and enjoys the online class environment. Good luck all."

"This is not a good college at all. They lied to me when I enrolled. They changed my coursework several times. They tried to drop me because they would not send me the paperwork I needed to fill out. Then they changed my fafsa paperwork so I would stop getting aid and had to pay them out of pocket before I could get my two BA degrees. And finally they decide right when I get my two diplomas in the mail that I have one degree and two diplomas. They lied and jerked me around for 4 1/2 years. It was insane. Do not go here. They are terrible to students and rude and over priced."

"For starters, I am upset to see how many people had negative comments about this school. While I have been enrolled at Ashford since June, 2012 I have had nothing but great experiences. I read a comment in which someone noted that the scheduling is done by a computer, I did not know this. When I have a question or when I chose to add minors, I let my advisor know and he scheduled them right away. As for the financial aid people, whenever I need their assistance I email them, and they seriously call me within that same day and email me in case I miss their call. The student portal is so easy and useful in keeping track of everything, not to mention that the instructors are amazing. Some even offer their phone number so we can call them for assistance since they cannot be glued to the computer and respond to emails as quick as they would like. I am very sorry for those who received some type of negative experience because I am sure that that is what kept them form really appreciating the education they received. I love Ashford and will probably be signing up to the Masters program. Oh and lets not forget that this is a school designed to let you work as you can as long as you meet deadlines. Having three little girls, I enjoy and appreciate the time I have to raise them all while still getting my education."
