"I have been attending Ashford for a little over a year now and have had little to no problems. I am able to contact my adviser, change classes, request time off, contact student wellness, and financial aid easily. It is actually much easier to talk to an Ashford employee versus my first (on campus) college. I have been able to keep a 4.0 all this time and have only had one problem with a professor. This particular teacher did not like that I was given extra time by the school and marked me down. Instead of whining about it I dropped the class, quickly, and retook the class with a different teacher. I can tell you that at any school you will find teachers that will grade a student based on personal opinion, it has happened to me before. I love the curriculum and how wonderful it is to be home with my son and still finish my education. I transferred 69 credits out of 75 total and now I am only 10 classes away from a degree. I absolutely love Ashford."

"Dont withdraw, they will change your grades.....instructor will also chage your grade if you question them about something. Ashford is a poor choice for a school. I went there two years and tuition changed three times. DONT GO HERE! FORGET ABOUT THE DEAN.....JUST GETTING PAID!"

"I am a Junior at Ashford University, and can say that so far it has been one amazing and challenging journey. I hear a lot of people down playing Ashford's accreditation, and just want to state that there are 6 major accrediting agents in the United States, and the WASC "Western Association of Schools and Colleges" is one of them. Ashford was accredited by the WASC in 2013 and came up for a review in July of 2015, and successfully passed the examination. Don't believe me, go to the WASC website and discover this for yourself. I have the letter from the WASC to Ashford saved on my desktop to show those naysayers that Ashford is a really good college to attend. Those who fail to succeed have to have someone to blame for their failures and who else better to blame than the school they attend, rather than their on lack of dedication. I am not one to brag; however, I have been very successful in college and think I have made the best choice in choosing Ashford to lead me to success. Yes, it may be a little expensive; however, I do believe you get what you pay for in an education. School is what gives you the tools to work with; It is your place to choose whether to use those tools or not, and whether you choose to initiate them. NO school can make you a 4.0 or a 2.0 student, only the student has the power over his or her success in college and after. I am a 4.0 student with Ashford. I am there to make something out of myself, and I did not know that I was capable of such success as I feel like I am the least smart of most; however, I study hard. First, you have to determine why you are in school in the first place? Are you there for the education, or the finance? If you are in school for a great education, I would highly recommend Ashford, it is very challenging and fulfills well-rounded educational goals. If you are worried about being financially taken care of rather than an education, go to human services for help because you will never get much further than welfare. Anyway, this is my moral and ethical opinion regarding most of the negative thoughts I have read against Ashford University."

"My time with Ashford University has been exceptionally beneficial and educational. With the timeframe for each class being shorter than most other schools, and the quality instruction from my class instructors, I have been able to learn a considerable amount of knowledge that will be a vital asset once I retire from the military in a few years. I have already recommended this school to my peers, and will continue to do so for those that are seeking a great school with quality education."

"Frustrated by my for-profit experience with University of Phoenix, I transferred to Ashford a couple of years ago. Although the cost of admission is high, the convenience of online education is priceless. The innovative technology that Ashford provides to students has truly contributed to my ability to excel in my educational goals. The fact is, Ashford is an alternative educational offering that may not be best for everyone. However my personal experience has been good and anytime I've encountered any challenges with advisors or professors; I have developed a solution to resolve the matter. Forward thinking requires an open mind, Ashford University has provided a great deal of innovative resources for online learners. As far as accreditation, this school is in fact regionally accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission. The WASC accreditation process aids institutions in developing and sustaining effective educational programs and assures the educational community, the general public, and other organizations that an accredited institution has met high standards of quality and effectiveness. If you're going to invest in your educational future, do your research before you believe what others say. Ashford's accreditation is comparable to some of the best private universities in the United States."

"In the Army, so I've moved around quite a bit. If you're not a full-time student then it will take you a while to graduate from any school. I've attended several major universities due to moving around every few years. When you actually attend traditional classes, you get lectures and are able to ask questions when needed. In the online program at Ashford, I was forced to actually read and do work every week. When I was going to traditional schools, I would just listen to lectures and skim through the book and still pass my classes. Some classes seemed like the only thing you did was listen to the professor give his or her lecture, take a quiz, mid term, and final. However, at Ashford, if you are not engaged in your course work, it will be a struggle. P.S. People will criticize anything if they were unsuccessful in their experience. You get out what you put in."

"Ashford online was very intense but well worth the structure. The coursework is very manageable with time management. I was impressed how I was able to learn so much in a short length of time (6 weeks per class). The online experience worked out very well. I can easily access my class through a computer and what I found very beneficial was the digital text books, which were easily obtainable on my phone. After I obtained my MPA I received a $20,000 increase."

"I think that Ashford is a wonderful educational institution. I was hesitate about going back to school and doing it online, but it was just what I needed. The instructors were remarkable, engaging and helped me out tremendously when I was going through some tough moments. I have gained so much knowledge and skill and see it in my everyday life, while interviewing, speaking about research with others and helping others with their papers. Kudos to my Alma Mater."

"I attended Ashford University from 2012 Until I graduated with my bachelor's degree in November 2015. Ashford has accelerated courses that are fast pace and require hard work. However, if a student is willing to work hard they will do well and get a quality education. I do feel there are some professors that are a little unfair in their grading; almost seeming to dock my grade so they felt like they were doing their job whilst offering little or no reason for the lowered grade. With that said I believe that most of the professors that I had were fair in their grading and I graduated with a 3.95 GPA overall and a 3.97 in my major which is psychology. I do plan to attend the Master's of Arts in Psychology at Ashford as well. One last thing, Ashford is very military friendly so if you are in the military and looking to go back to school or transfer to another school I highly recommend Ashford University."

"First off this is not a bad school and it is accredited. I have had such a wonderful experience at the school. I just graduate with my bachelors in healthcare administration and I am pleased say that I graduated with a 3.68. School is what you make it. And if I every had needed anything I was always taken care of. So yes I would recommend this school to anyone. I am for anyone who didn't know they have a beautiful campus."
