"This college is a rip off. The financial aid office gives you the run around about your stipend and they tack on extra fees at the last minute. Your tuition increases its not worth the headache. If I could give it a negative 10, I would . I definitively wouldn't recommend anyone to this school."

"I feel like I was mislead again. I did everything that I was told to do by you and your staff at Ashford University only to be failed by your school just to increase my balance and get money. I was trying to make you aware that I did not want to start any courses until the balance of $6829 was cleared with my financial aid and loans. I was awarded over $9000 in grants, loans and fininacial aid which would have covered the balance due. No one went over the courses selected for me. I called financial services, student services, student advisor and yourself just to make you all aware of this. Your response was not to worry about any balance now, just do the work. I have done as told, with achieving an A average as my balance continued to increase weekly. I called many times to make everyone unaware that there may have been an error but I was passed around to different department. On August 1 my disbursements were applied to my account and it left a balance of about $2800 and I must pay it before I can complete any courses. I explained my situation to you and everyone else. I am a struggling single parent with only a part time job. My goal was to complete school so that I can get my degree towards getting a better job so that I will be able to take care of my family. I do not care if I do not receive any stipend. I just want a 0 balance so that I can complete school and you promised that. I am not in more debt and a financial bond. This has caused me much stress, depression, and I feel betrayed again by Ashford University. Getting my degree is my goal and my dream. You are taking that away from me. No one has returned my call since the monies was disbursed and your received you money. This is so unfair. What did I do wrong besides trust in you and your staff at Ashford University. Please refund or stop or any monies from my Financial Aid, Loans or Grants immediately. It has only been 3 weeks and your school is preventing me from continuing. Now they have that I owe $6000 after I cancelled my registration because they added more courses to my account."

"I attended on campus classes at my local state University the first three years of my college education and completed my degree program online through Ashford University. My experience with Ashford was just as positive, challenging, and educational as any of my on campus courses. The primary difference was the opportunity to better balance full-time work, family and educational endeavors. I wish everyone success as you strive to complete your degree at Ashford University."

"I was billed in excess of 7K three months before I am scheduled for graduation. After constantly communicating with them and given various balances due then when I check my account to begin paying an "outstanding balance of 3K) I noticed that there were EFT debits to my account.. How am I supposed to pay off 7k in three months.. Now they will hold my degree hostage which will delay me sitting for my pm certifications. I am disgusted and disappointed with this University. No, I will not recommend this school to anyone anymore!"

"The reason why I am sharing this negative review is because one instructor, Dr. G, and Associate Director of Academic Intergity, had absolutely no concern for the integrity of my grade in a course. Their online system, Waypoint, had been faulty to accept my class submission and absolutely no one assisted me in finding a solution to the error. I submitted hard evidence that I eagerly attempted many times to submit the assignment, but Waypoint would not accept it on my computer or other public computers. To ensure that I turned my final assignment in on time, I found an alternative by inboxing Dr. G. the FULL file of my assignment. She did not want to grade my assignment because it was not turned into Waypoint "on time", when the entire issue at hand WAS WAYPOINT! IT WOULD NOT ACCEPT THE ASSIGNMENT...Then, I took the problem to appeals. The Director, came up with the conclusion on behalf of the entire University and said that he regrets to inform me that they will not be considering my case. He said that my computer had a virus and that it was for personal reasons that I did not get my assignment in.... As a straight A and B student in the class, I presented the question to Dr. G. and Mr. M. because neither one of them attempted to assist me with the problem concerning Waypoint (they have not even responded with a cause of ths reason why my assignment wasn't submitting): "Lastly, my question to you and Dr. G. would be, why would I complete an assignment and attempt to turn it in on time via email and not want to turn it into Waypoint for an acceptable grade, knowing that I am a straight A and B student?!".... Sadly enough, my experience has been ruined at Ashford, and until the day I graduate, my surveys and reviews will remain FLAMBOYANTLY NEGATIVE in remembrance of this infamous and grievous time. I hope that you don't have to experience what I have. PS: Once again, I still have not received an explanation why Waypoint has not been accepting my assignments, and why it has been faulty. I guess that they are going to sweep it under the rug."

"Ashford pushed and pushed advertising for several months leading up to the start date of Jan 2nd, which I can I only imagine they received a large amount of new students (me being one of them) one week into the new school year they announced that beginning February 6th they are increasing the tuition rate PER CREDIT, the "technology fee" and the cost of the books."

"I will make my response brief, after completing my undergraduate degree at a state university. I decided to continue my education at Ashford University because it offered work, life flexibility. You get out of school what you put into it! With online courses you have to be diciplined enough to focus only on what you are trying to accomplish. There will be no hand holding. Ashford offered a excellent MPA program which I am now completing. The cirriculum was interesting, knowledgeable and engaging. The professors offer their cell phone numbers and email addresses to contact them for any questions. I enjoyed the professors I had during my courses, they had the experience and credentials to teach the courses that are mandatory which I appreciated. Ashford University is a college I would recommend. Although if you're lazy, don't bother because they do expect you to apply yourself. The academic advisors were very helpful, they called when they needed you as well as emailed you in regards to any concerns or questions. I took a leap of faith and did not regret my decision to receive my degree through Ashford University."

"A lot of online schools give the impression that they ONLY want your funds, but that isn't the case with Ashford University. My advisor reached out to me often to ensure I was doing well personally and professionally. When I needed help, he was able to point me to not only my professor (some would post their phone number and available hours to speak on the phone!) but also the Writing Center and Library live chats that are available 24hrs per day (though sometimes there was a small wait time). Though the Finance department reached out on a handful of occasions at the beginning, they were ensuring I was able to submit my documents before the deadline, so I appreciated the reminders, given my busy schedule. Overall a great value! The friendly and responsive support I received helped keep me on-track to finish my degree!"

"I had both good and bad experiences with Ashford University. In order to make it through classes you must apply yourself. I failed an Algebra two class and had to pay out of pocket! Yes, they had the funds I borrowed already allocated! The online tutoring was not helpful at all so be prepared to pay out of pocket for help; especially if you have not had math in quite some time or are weak in Math! You only get one full break for two weeks in December! You do have access to Career Services as well as your campus email. I dislike the constant emails and phone calls about Ashford's Masters program? My enrollment advisor moved on and I was given two more advisors; one of which was never available. I don't understand why so many advisors and for the most part; don't seem genuinely interested if you're having personal issues! They tend to answer you with words like; "Huh, aww, that's great and perfect"! Online is an improvement to brick and mortar and as a non-traditional student this made studying by myself and for myself memorable."

"I will the first to admit I have attended many colleges due to breaks , change in majors , and personal preferences. However, when I came across Ashford I knew from the initial phone call that I would enjoy Ashford University . I did not ever feel pressure to enroll like other online college programs that have a history of being a bit aggressive. The staff was incredible , I never had an issue trying to get a hold of a staff or faculty member. The forums were organized and clear which make the program feasible to complete. I would of continued my education at Ashford after receiving my BA but Ashford unfortunately does not offer a MSW program."
