"Choosing an online university was a very hard decision for me. I struggled with finding a school that was affordable, as well as unbiased in its reviews. After much consideration I chose to go with UMA; and not only did UMA provide me with the opportunity to choose the degree program of my choice, but it also gave me an accelerated option in completing that degree. All of the faculty and staff members that I have had the pleasure of meeting, have been absolutely wonderful. Based off of my experience as a student here at UMA, the school is a total God send. The vast majority of professors here work around the clock to make sure that each student can be successful their class. I have yet to come across a Professor that has not responded to me within a day. They make the online process work for people like me who struggle with the balance of work life and family. UMA is the best decision I have made in my adult life, and I would recommend this school to anyone seeking to further their education."

"I am highly disappointed in this school. I have two degrees and a college certification from here, and I am unable to get a job. I applied for Voc Rehab from the military, and when they saw that in had all the accolades I had, and still wasn't able to land a job, it was then that I learned from the career advisors it was because I didn't complete an internship. WTF?!!! All this money wasted, and can't get a job because I didn't have an internship?!! My friend, who also attended this school, through my referral, got an associates degree, and was able to get an excellent job because she was offered an internship. She went from making $14 an hour, to being chosen for a managerial position, that would salary her for almost 55k. Meanwhile, I'm being offered cut rate a** wages for $10 an hour, because every position I apply for says that I don't have any experience under my belt. I am f*** pissed. I feel like I wasted time and money. Why wasn't I offered an intern?!! I am very angry. The only services I was offered was resume services and interviews, where I was denied anyway. I would definitely not recommend this school."

"UMA is by far the best college ever. I have attended two different colleges and the difference are very noticeable. UMA has a great support system for an individual to succeed in their academic goals. An individual is assigned to a support person and this individual is there for you every step of the way. It does not matter if you are having study issues, personal of health your counselor is there for you all the way. Wither it is for listening, referrals, or just support they make the difference. In fact, I would love to acknowledge my counselor who is out of this world Rubie Rodriguez. Without you, I would not have made it this far. Thanks for being there in the worst and best times of my schooling.Even the virtual library has great videos on how to do anything within your career focus."

"From the beginning the experience was amazing for me. Everyone I have been in contact was extremely helpful and kind. My academic advisor was very instrumental in my success. They kept me focused and rooted in my studies. The program itself was very manageable with my already busy life. I would say that you will get out of this program what you put in it. It seems that they have made virtually impossible to fail if you put in the work. Best decision I have ever made!!!"

"Any school experience is what you make it. Earning a degree online takes dedication and discipline. I just finished last month and I'm very excited about the future. This program meets the accreditation requirements needed for my profession and credentials. After finding this school on the accrediting organization's website, I began my research. I had a great experience with this school. I received grants that decreased my tuition cost; lower than the typical amount to earn an Associates degree."

"I would and do recommend UMA to anyone that is thinking about furthering their education. The advisors and teachers are the best. When I graduated the career advisors worked very hard to help me find a job, I am so thankful I know it is an expensive school but, I know of no school where the advisors really work so hard to help you get a job. The school has such wonderful resources to help with your class work. Teachers are so helpful, if you need help you can contact them and they will call you back text or email you. I did not think I could do an online class. I thought I had to sit in a classroom, I proved myself wrong, I'm glad I did."

"I attended UMA three times for three different courses and I have loved every minute I was there. The advisors were nothing but helpful, and the career advisor was always there for you before and after graduating to help you find employment. The online class was really easy to understand and use and instructors are very understanding and helpful. Communication is the key if you have any problems and they are always there to help. I am happy I picked UMA and you will be too."

"To put it simply, the UMA mascot should be incompetence. Or Pass the buck. The only response you're likely to receive when needing assistance is an auto generated email. your instructors will reach out and then not follow up. If you need any other types of assistance you will find that you never speak to the same person twice. I wouldn't work there if they offered me a job. the customer is never right!"

"CAHIIM accredits HIM education programs at the associate degree level. To begin your search for a program, use the link below to search by education level, institution name, state, or distance learning (online) delivery. And UMA is on the Site and active. Which is important in the HIM field. This school is accredited for the HIM program. The bad reviews are from people not getting refund check? Seriously!? If you solely go to school to get a refund check you need to rethink your plans and maybe get a job! Credits will transfers only to a school that also is accredited through AHIMA. If you decide to pursue Bachelors in HIM like me. Students interested in obtaining a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate, Certificate of Completion or Transfer of Credits information, must contact the CAHIIM Accredited program they wish to enroll in regarding their institutional policies."
