I started this college November 2015 for Healthcare Management. I excelled in school even though I went through major health issues. My advisor and instructors were very understanding and encouraging to keep me focus. When I finished my very first career advisor was awesome. I built a strong bond with her and everything was great until I was switched to someone else. Everyone after her was absolutely horrible. The Career advisor department is some c***. They don't respond to emails or return phone... Read More calls. They need to coach you for employers who don't want to hire became of lack of up to date experience. I am very disappointed with this department which makes me regret going to the school. I'm Looking for work outside of what I went to school for. What a complete waste of time and money. WISH I HAD WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I was told about UMA from a family friend, she graduated with an Associates degree and right after she graduated, they helped her find a good paying job. At UMA, they want to see you succeed, to me that is so important to have a support system. They are available to you for almost any question you have, my teacher and I even text back and fourth. I think UMA was a great school. They really wanted their students to achieve a good education. Even after graduating the school Latasha helped answering questions for me about continue my education. When I attended the school I felt like they took the time to hear my concerns. I felt like all my questions even with financial aid was handled in a timely fashion. My advisor truly cared. I attended UMA not realizing if I was going to like it or not. Once I got started on the program I realized that this was something I really was good at. I am getting my associate degree in Healthcare Management. The financial aid department was very helpful. I had to be transferred a few times to get problems solved but, in the end they were resolved efficiently and effectively. The academic coaching is wonderful. I couldn't tell you how many times I used them. The professors and staff were excellent.... Read More They give you the materials you need, and they provide extra websites and materials that help get you through. The professors are very willing to help you through any issues you may have to make sure you succeed. Overall, I have never regretted going to this school. I think they are very well adapted to today's studies. You have to remember that if you take online classes, they aren't easy. If it were easy, you really wouldn't learn anything. You have to be dedicated and committed to do the work and really reach out if you are struggling. They are there to help you push through. I love this school and like I said, I have no regrets at all.

This school is a joke. No decent paying place of employment will hire people from this school. Towards the end i figured out you can reset your attendance with a discussion or extra credit then do all 5 weeks work in one day and still very an A in the class. If you do that the teachers don't even read your response they just give you a decent grade for everything you submit. They call your phone 5 times in a row a couple times a day every single day. It is a waste of time and an even bigger waste of money. You can get a better education at a community college for a fraction of the cost.

This school is a total scam I am 4 classes away from graduating and then today I received my award letter for 2016-2017 and was told I didn't have enough to cover my classes just to remind you the aid year starts from Aug-June 30 bottom line they are taking people financial aid money so when I called federal student aid they said the school was committing fraud because they used the money from 2016-2017 for the previous aid year now they want me to pay 3755 out of pocket because they covered my classes... Read More from April til June when those classes was still on 2015-2016 aid year the classes are non transferable so all the loans I took out was a waste they are currently under investigation after they realized I called federal student aid they would not talk to me regarding what happen to all my money DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOW I HAVE TO START ALL OVER AND THE GOVERNMENT IS LOOKING INTO IT TO REQUEST THEIR FUNDS BACK AND BY THE WAY FROM AUG UNTIL NOW I ONLY TOOK ONE CLASS SO HOW IS ALL MY MONEY GONE WHEN I RECEIVE THE MAX AMOUNT

Every since the day I signed up at UMA, my life has been wonderful. I still hold a GPA average of a 4.0 since i started back in August 2015. UMA have been the only school to help me in everything since day one and they are always calling to check in to make sure everything is okay. I started UMA in September 2015, and it was the best decision ever. The staff and instructors care about your well beings to be successful in the program. Getting started with them was a "Breeze". I have previously taken classes related to healthcare. I got my Billing & Coding Certificate from my local community college about 9 years ago. I've also been employed in the healthcare field for the past 8 years. UMA insisted that I take classes (college English, college math & medical terminology)I had already taken to get my Billing & Coding Certificate in order to get my associate's degree. Read More used every day at work and I would like an opportunity to test out of the class, I was told that wasn't an option. What a waste of 5 weeks and several hundred dollars, I got 100% and never even opened the book. Due to the online nature of the program, all my professors stressed proper grammar and spelling; however, I had one professor that had absolutely awful grammar. After graduation, they contacted me on numerous occasions to verify the same information over and over because they couldn't get it right in their system. Had I known then what I know now, that they are not accredited by the BBB or even accredited in every state, would have taken them off my short list of schools.

I am currently enrolled in the Associate of Science-Healthcare Management program and also a UMA Ambassador. Throughout my experience as a student at UMA, I have been very pleased with the amount of moral support UMA offers to students!
