"I started with UMA in March of 2015. It was not easy, adjusting to school again since I am 45 years old. I was a trucker for 20 years and decided I wanted to start helping people on a more personal level. Some tips I can give would be these: If you are having trouble, reach out to someone at UMA. They will not give you the answers directly but they will make sure you understand the material you are working on. There labs they have, through out the day, is one of their best features. You have to remember though, they are not mind readers. If you do not reach out to them and ask for help when you need it, you will not learn anything. I am currently working for CVS Specialty in the billing department. I have been so lucky and blessed since I decided to give up trucking. At CVS it is like working with your family. Yes UMA career services lined this job up for me. They couldn't have done a better job, putting me in a place, I fit the most. Anyone who picks UMA will learn if they apply themselves and ask for help when needed. When you pick a school, the most important thing you should ask yourself is, Will I learn at this school and will they get me ready for a new career. I am living proof of that being yes to both questions. I have not driven a truck since July of 2015 and still take home around a 1000 dollars every two weeks. Not a lot of money but I am just getting started in my new career, thanks to UMA."
