"UMA was a great run when I first started in Sept 2014 but after I enrolled for the second time to obtain my associates it was a big mistake! Back to back calls, hard time getting my money AFTER they received there's. Just a big hassle with this school."

"I attended and graduated from UMA and I loved every minute of it and would highly recommend this college to anyone and I have. You must put an effort forth in order to get the education that they offer. From the beginning to the end my advisor was with me. Had a few hiccups from the Financial Aid Department but patience will get you through this. I graduated the top of my class 4.0, a member of Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society, an Ambassador, and was on the student advisory board. I landed a great job all thanks to my career service advisor. Keep in mind though you are not going to land the first job and maybe not the second one it takes a while. I went on 44 interviews but my advisor stuck in there with me. My student advisor was the best. I lived in Arkansas and made the trip to Tampa to graduate. This is a great college but like I stated you need to put some effort in. Nothing comes easy in this life. If you are willing to put the effort in this is the college for you. I had the greatest instructors that were knowledgeable in their field, if I needed help I would reach out to them. If I did not get the response that I felt was needed I contact my advisor and he helped me. GO UMA!!! GO UMA!!!!"

"If you live in Florida you may have a better time with UMA. I live in Texas. I got my pharmacy tech diploma from here online. Cost $14,000. If I would have went local, (did not know that was an option at the time) it would have only cost a couple grand no more that 2 or 3. I would advise you find a local community college in your area. I did not like student services. It always took forever to talk to the person you needed. I would call, get put on hold, get transferred, put on hold, transferred again, and usually hung up on. Always had to call multiple times."

"WORST school ever. They do not hold true to their promises. I am an honor roll student and no response back ever from my new advisor. Asked for a new one still no response. Some instructors you can not even speak with. Terrible school. I wish I would have found WGU University first half the price for the same program."

"I had an amazing experience with UMA online. I was able to juggle my busy family life and keep up with my school work. Having 4 kids that was tough but, I did it! The classes are well paced and the work load is not too overwhelming. I would recommend UMA to anyone ready to go back to school. After I graduated the career service department helped setup interviews and I had a full week of back to back interviews. I was able to pick the job that I wanted. The personal growth that I have gained from this has been priceless to me. Thank you UMA"

Extremely dissatisfied - 9/28/2016
Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2012
"While I was attending I couldn't be more happy. Each person I spoke to went above and beyond to get the answers I needed. I recently moved and have contacted uma to help find a job, as that's supposed to be part of the tuition. However, it's going on 3 weeks and I'm still waiting on a call from my career advisor. I spoke to someone yesterday who promised me an email and a call back, it been almost 24 hours and I haven't received either one. Each time I call, they demand my name before they will attempt to help me, when I refuse because I will have to verify with the next person, they say there is nothing else they can do. They offered to take my name and have someone call me back, but to me it's just another lie because I've been waiting for nearly 3 weeks. Not to mention no matter what number you call, it's always"classroom support" and there's not even an option for alumnus. I'm extremely upset and disappointed that what was promised and the key reason I chose uma, has proven to be false. Be careful before choosing uma."

"This school is a total scam I am 4 classes away from graduating and then today I received my award letter for 2016-2017 and was told I didn't have enough to cover my classes just to remind you the aid year starts from Aug-June 30 bottom line they are taking people financial aid money so when I called federal student aid they said the school was committing fraud because they used the money from 2016-2017 for the previous aid year now they want me to pay 3755 out of pocket because they covered my classes from April til June when those classes was still on 2015-2016 aid year the classes are non transferable so all the loans I took out was a waste they are currently under investigation after they realized I called federal student aid they would not talk to me regarding what happen to all my money DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOW I HAVE TO START ALL OVER AND THE GOVERNMENT IS LOOKING INTO IT TO REQUEST THEIR FUNDS BACK AND BY THE WAY FROM AUG UNTIL NOW I ONLY TOOK ONE CLASS SO HOW IS ALL MY MONEY GONE WHEN I RECEIVE THE MAX AMOUNT"

"UMA has friendly, and beyond helpful staff. I graduated from UMA two years ago. Literally two weeks after I graduated UMA's Career Advisors helped me receive my first job in my career field as an Pharmacy Technician. I've been in my field for 2 years and I love every moment of it. Still to this very day advisors check in with me to ensure that I still have a job and even offer more opportunities. How awesome is that?! I highly recommend this school to anyone"
