Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2018
"I am very dissatisfied with this school. After tons and tons of calls to make sure they got my grant money, they stopped calling as soon as they say my funds came in. I was withdrawn from classes 3 times without notice. Each time I was told I could restart. They are stir calling for me to restart. They most certainly are only after the money! I would definitely not recommend this school."

Hi, I am so sorry you are frustrated, but I can help you sort through the issues. Sometimes, if your loans or grants do not come to the Academy in time, you have to delay starting to our next start cycle. Start cycles occur every 2-3 weeks, so usually you can get going once all your paperwork is sorted out. Our mission is to help you succeed and we are committed to that, so feel free to reach out to me directly (social@ultimatemedical.edu) and my team will help you.

"I was very pleased with UMA. All assignments were posted at the beginning of the week. It gave you plenty of time to get all your assignments and tests completed. My instructors were all good at communicating with you and helping you with any issues I had. My adviser was wonderful to help me with anything I needed. I graduated 9/9/15 with my associates. I passed my RHIT exam with AHIMA 10/7/15. I am now enrolled at WGU for my bachelors in Health Care Management. I loved my experience at UMA."

You are your own success - 10/20/2015

"Most of the bad reviews I am reading is mainly about refund checks not about your degree. I am also currently taking courses for my diploma and if all goes well I will continue on with my associates. I know a school shouldn't be responsible for you landing a job. I have attended colleges in the pass before UMA and there was never anything about the school landing anyone a job. The effort is determined on how much you want it, and how motivated you are. If you want it, you'll find a way."

"I received my associate degree in 2014 and could be happier. UMA helped me in every way they could and helped me find place of employment. Just a month after receiving my diploma I was employed. All the instructors that I had the pleasure of having always helped me with any questions or understanding that I needed. I would recommend this school to anyone that wants to go in to the medical field."

We are so proud of your accomplishments, keep up the good work. Thanks for taking the time to review UMA. (Ashonta)

"I really regret even taking these classes. I feel like it's all about the money. It's ALL A JOKE. Also, the career service advisors are so rude and did not help me to get a job. I have no car and I was told that I would be provided with an uber to make it to interviews, but whenever I needed one the advisors would be rude and they'd give me attitudes. Big mistake"

"I have had 6 instructors and only one was really structured and organized far as teaching.. the teacher I have now Is highly unorganized and the class is rude ... I was told about a project due today last week! And when I inquired about it I was told it was pronounced on the second week? Must have been the loud ride class... I am not learning anything Google teaches me more....I also have been told that my disbursement was approved and on its way....now I am being told that it has not been approved yet and still waiting results? ... I need that aid to be able to continue paying for child care so I can attend school and to begin paying back a loan from the mcla program that I still haven't yet to get a job in...I am also paying for book for classes that the instructors don't even teach out of!"

"I am currently a very satisfied student with UMA. I be he had my moments of frustration, but I have never been let down during these times, unless it's been me not reaching out. I'm truly sorry for any bad experiences anyone has had. I don't see any in my future and have had no warning signs yet. Online is a bit more difficult for me, I have to put extra effort into my commitment, but I LOVE it. Hopefully in 2016 when I graduate, I will have more great things to share."
Dan Soschin - 9/22/2015

"I don't even know where to start with this school. They ignore you but blow up your phone when it benefits them. When your begging for help nobody will help you return a call or email nothing. I went to school for Medical Coding and Billing. I get asked where is my coding certificate well I don't know maybe I should ask my school. Well forget that they don't want to hear what I have to say they just want their money. Every time I have a question they don't know the answer to they tell me they will get back to me then I never hear from them and I have to get passed around on the phone until somebody can answer my question. They never told me I had a refund check they wasn't going to and the wouldn't have if I didn't ask about it. This school is just in it for the money. They don't deserve to be a school."
Ashonta Johnson - 12/9/2015

Degree: Medical Office Administration
Graduation Year: 2016
"Okay I'm having problem with the financed department. On July 7 I ask for my refund to be released to me. Upon me asking the advisor told me that I would have sign for my refund to be release and told me it would take like four to six weeks to get the check. Well on August 4 I called back to check on later to find out that my file had been in limbo for two weeks and that some information came back that needed to be cleared up. Upon them telling this they were going to expedite my check to me. I kept calling for two weeks straight to make sure everything was a go. Well last Friday on the August 21 I called and was told by another advisor that everything clear and a check would be mailed out on the 24. I waited all week until today. I called to check and was told that I sign a document in May stating that I wanted the funds at the end of me completing the diploma program. Well I wasn't informed this in July, August. I spoke with a advisor and I guess she don't know the frustration I have been through that I guess she had a attitude also. When I ask to speak with a Supervisor she came on the phone and told me that I should have been told this before. And she could see that I have called many of times and that someone should have told me. She said once I sign a document by email which I did then she put me on hold to say that she talked to a someone in the records that cut the checks and they said I should get a check cut on Monday. Now I want to believe her but I have been trying to be patient but this is crazy. Yes I was not going to ask for the refund check because I had a job upon me applying for UMA. But I lost my job a week after class started and I need this to pay my broadband internet up to keep myself in school. I like the classes but this has been really stressful. I have switch Academic advisors since I started. I don't know who to talked to as well tell somebody cause I get a new person every two weeks. I want to finish this diploma to make a better life for my three children but this is ridiculous. I hope somebody please help me cause"
