"The University of Alabama was a wonderful experience for me. I was able to learn vital tools in Business Administration that helped me land a job right out of college with a Department of Defense contractor. The biggest advantage attending Alabama gave me was instant credibility in the workforce. People know what kind of employees the University of Alabama produces and it has taken me a long way."

"Ever since I was a kid growing up in the state of Alabama my dream has always been to attend and graduate from the University of Alabama. It is a great institution with a wonderful learning environment with rich tradition and so many smiling faces to go along with it. Although there were times I felt like just another face in the crowd, fellow students and teachers always treated me with respect. One thing I would like improved within the university is the development of personal relationships between students and advisers/faculty. I only met with my instructors and adviser twice in my two years attending the school and those meetings were set up by myself making a phone call to them. They were helpful once I was given a meeting to talk about future classes at the university, never seeming truly interested in talking to me and getting to know me. Another thing I feel could be more helpful is a presence after graduation. Other than receiving automated emails, no one from the university has contacted me to see how my career is going or if I have even found a job. They don't really offer help after graduation to search for jobs. Luckily I have found a job but it has nothing to do with my journalism degree. Recently I have decided that I am going back to school to pursue a Masters' degree in education but not at Alabama. I've decided to attend the University of Phoenix online. In conclusion, I loved the environment at the University of Alabama but I didn't have a great experience, it was just OK. Honestly, if someone asked, I couldn't say that I would do it all over again, regardless of my love for the Crimson Tide."

"The University of Alabama is a very good school for engineering education. Its strongest assets for those looking into careers are its co-op program and its career fairs, which are very robust. Professors seem very hit-or-miss; I personally had many very good professors and other poor professors with very little mediocre teaching. The curriculum was rigorous, and I feel quite prepared to work in my field. However, like many universities recently, it has a very business-like model, meaning that tuition has steadily increased over the years and things like parking passes cost outrageous amounts; they seek to profit off of their student body. In general I would give the university a 3/5, with a 4/5 for engineering education."

"I attended the University of Alabama for Undergraduate school and am now pursuing online classes through Louisiana State University. I studied Finance and Economics at UA and I was happy with the campus and curriculum. However, they offer limited online classes which I am now interested in as a working adult. LSU offers classes in Psychology that I am interested in taking to start the education needed to become a Psychologist in the future."

"I would highly recommend the Kinesiology program if attending The University of Alabama. The Kinesiology program is not overbooked with students so everyone ( professors and students) knows each other. It was a great learning environment and a lot of hands on experience."

"UA was a great program for my lifestyle. The assignment due dates and exams were flexible. Additionally, I enjoyed collaborating with classmates virtually. I was very impressed with the level if involvement by my classmates. I felt no different than when I attended actual classroom years prior to this program."

"It's a very great school, but the students seem to be more focused about what they are doing after class than their actual schoolwork. I understand that the social aspect is very important in college, but is it more important than receiving the degree?"

"The University of Alabama is well-known for its football program, but its academic programs rival its athletics. I first began attending the school in 2001, and returned in 2013 to complete my undergraduate degree. Upon arriving on campus so many years after having been there before, and after having lived life and worked in the professional world, I was very appreciative of the quality of education I was receiving at UA. All of my professors were well-qualified, accessible, upfront, fair, and seemed to work as hard as they expected me to work. I earned my degree - I didn't buy it. It wasn't ridiculously hard work - but it was work, and it was fair. I didn't make the most of my experience the first time, but the second time, I took nothing for granted. The facilities are beautiful, the experience is incomparable to most, and the educational experience is superb. I am very thankful that I was afforded the opportunity to receive the quality of education I received at UA, and if you are considering attending this school, you will not regret this choice. If you are already attending, I offer this to you: every day you step foot on campus, you have a choice to make. You can make excuses or you can make the most out of your experience. I hope you choose to make the most, because there is much out there. Side note: Little Italy in the shopping center with Coldstone Creamery and Moe's will change your life. Do eat there; multiple times, if needed."

"The University of Alabama is a prestigious location to attend college. I believe it's known more for the business college (and N.S.) but it also has a great engineering program."

"UA is a great school for all students from all kinds of backgrounds with any number of interests or hobbies. The social life is open and exciting, the academics are some of the best in the nation, and the club organizations are vast and easy to join. The campus is beautiful, a great size, and provides many different opportunities to expand your mind socially and academically."

"The University of Alabama was a wonderful school for me. The class sizes were always small enough where I felt the teacher knew me and I was comfortable talking to them. The atmosphere on campus during a football game day is indescribable, though basketball games and gymnastics are also electric. UA will always be a home for me that is full of wonderful memories."

"I liked it. It's a rising star in the law school world, so even though I am a small town local girl, I had classmates from all over the country. It was extremely competitive, but I feel that I got a good education, if not realistic expectations about the job market."

"I received my Master of Arts in Women's Studies from the University of Alabama in 2013. The program was intense, rigorous and definitely more competitive than my previous graduate program which definitely helped me prepare for further studies. The faculty was supportive of students and the overall department atmosphere was great. While there are some setbacks to attending the University of Alabama graduate school, the Women's Studies program was definitely not one of them!"

"Alabama offers an excellent education at a reasonable (though growing) cost. It is highly ranked and yet affordable, a great value. The faculty and administration are accessible, involved, and outstanding. Living expenses are relatively low. Despite the workload and academic rigor, the school atmosphere is generally supportive."
