"OU is a phenomenal school in that it comes with a massive variety of educational and professional opportunities. The most important thing a student here can do is connect with fellow peers and with their professors. One thing I found was an issue was that the Psychology department was so large that I struggled to meet and maintain a relationship with my professors. Other smaller courses I took outside of psychology gave me a much more intimate learning space. Get involved, get connected. OU will take you places!"

"The University of Central Oklahoma is a standard public midwest institution for higher education. There is nothing particular that stands out about the university. I never had any issues with professors, but I also don't feel like I was very challenged during my time. If you're looking to be a high school teacher, this school will work for you. But if you're training to make a career in theatre, I would suggest exploring options in cities that are more known for their theatrical background (ie. NYC or Chicago). The most beneficial aspect for me was the low cost attendance. However, that was 13 years ago. I am not sure what the cost of a 4-year education is now."

"The University of Central Oklahoma has developed and continues to develop significant scholars and museum professionals within its Department of History & Geography. Several museums throughout the state (and country) employ UCO alumni, and these alumni return the favor by creating relationships with current students. The school fights to protect its students from budget cuts, but it remains an issue. In raising tuition as little as possible, scholarships and other funding opportunities are diminished or depleted. Yet, the faculty and staff of every department are relentless is producing a terrific program for history students and students of other programs! Furthermore, the school's board and president continue to defend the diverse student body in the context of our current political climate. I would highly recommend this school and its focus on the student body!"

"This is the best school for those looking for a smaller environment. The teachers are really focused on the student. They take the time to make sure that each student understand the topic. They come up with fun and creative ways to influence a better learning environment."

"College is an experience, but not something everyone should do. If you know you want to job where vocational education is better suited, do it. Figure out what you love to do and do it."

"My college is located at Edmond Oklahoma, its one of the best schools in Oklahoma, I believe it is the best in substance abuse studies, it has some great lectures who pay attention to student when after they need their help. The environment is conducive for learning, and their library has enough books for research and for project, and thesis writing."

"For my undergraduate degree, I attended the University of Central Oklahoma. The four years I spent there were undoubtedly four of the best years of my life. There are so many aspects of UCO that I tremendously appreciated and valued during my tenure there. The University, itself, is sizeable - over 15,000 students. However, the city of Edmond, has a great deal of small-town appeal, and I found the balance welcoming. As I progressed through my studies, I found my coursework to be rigorous and the faculty to be stellar. I genuinely enjoyed my classes and the time I spent on campus. While pursuing my degree, I was involved in numerous campus organizations, and this investment proved massively fruitful; not only from a social perspective but also from a professional networking perspective down the road. UCO also draws in a multitude of non-traditional students, and I found this additive to be supportive of my growth and learning, both as a student and as a citizen of the local community. Furthermore, I cannot say enough about the level of diversity at UCO. The international student population is vast, and I will never forget the multicultural exposure this afforded me. Overall, I would not trade those four years spent there for anything. I have never looked back and regretted or second-guessed my time there. I would recommend UCO to anyone."

"The Secondary Education program at UCO is top notch. I am only in my first year, but I've learned so much about adolescent development, psychology, the role of nutrition and physical education on learning, and more modern and effective teaching techniques. The instructors are brilliant, and the program has enhanced my own critical thinking skills, and even my vocabulary. I can't wait to get out into the field and use the techniques I am learning to make a difference in students' lives."

"I could not recommend the UCO School of Music any more highly. I received a wonderful education that allowed me to find a position as an adjunct collegiate music educator one semester after graduation. I cannot imagine a better atmosphere or value!"

"UCO is a top choice pick for anyone searching for an associate's or bachelor's degree at an affordable price. The campus is situated in the middle of a bustling, growing suburb, yet is quiet and picturesque. The national award winning programs are abundant and eclectic and it would difficult not to find a major that would fit anyone's needs. I would recommend to all my friends and family interested in pursuing an advanced degree."

"My University of Oklahoma education was the best experience of my life. I attained a degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. The level of instruction and diversity of classes offered was excellent. The University offers a wide range of financial assistance, free tutoring, and extra-curricular activities and opportunities for students. For example, I participated in one program in which I worked a 6 month internship during school where I helped design and patent a surgical tool. That was just one of many enriching and varied opportunities I was able to capitalize on. At OU, you feel like part of a community, and that community truly supports each and every student."

"This college is known in Oklahoma for having the only recognized forensic science program and it's super awesome nursing program . It's in a small town, but the college is a bit large. We have a lot of international students here, that go on and do well in their future careers. We also have a lot of student life activities where volunteering int he community is a must. The teachers' doors are alway open. I loved my science professors, they were really open to discussing any problems you may have."
