"Gator Nation gave me so much! It was amazing to enter as a scared freshman and feel connected to the campus almost instantly. I was able to find my home at UF, but that was not without trying. UF is a large campus and I was surprised when several hundred students would be in one lecture--I never thought I would belong or make friends. Although I love my alma mater, not everything was great. It was difficult to connect with professors, and you can easily get lost in the crowd. I would never change my experiences, but have found greater happiness after graduating from what people call the "best four years of your life.""

"I absolutely loved my time at the University of Florida. I met some of the most incredible instructors, classmates, and community members during my 4 years there. I was a member of the Innovation Academy, which is a smaller cohort of students who are working together to create prototypes and better the community. For my last year of my undergrad, I had to move back home due to familial issues, so I was able to re-enroll as a UFO (University of Florida Online) student to complete my last few credits. I can say that the quality of education was just as rigorous and rewarding as on-campus classes were, and I couldn't be prouder to be an alumni of The University of Florida. Go Gators!"

"My undergraduate college has given me more than I could have ever imagined. To begin, the community is so welcoming. Any interests you have, you can probably find an organziation doing it, and if not, you can make one yourself. The professors are always willing to help, and are always available to talk even outside of class. I also love the diversity that this campus has. You really get to see all kinds of people, and experience different cultures. In terms of my program, I couldn't have picked a better major. I feel prepared for graduate school, and think that I have the tools to do well. This school is also great with first-generation college students. Being one myself, I got a full ride to the university and didn't have the burden of loans weighing me down. I must say though, it gets REALLY hot. Great university, great people. Go Gators"

"My undergraduate experience at the University of Florida was amazing. It is a fantastic university in regards to their academics, research, and social responsibility. UFs academic program is as vast as it is remarkable (we are ranked in the top 10 best universities!). Among the top programs UF has to offer are engineering, business, law, medicine, and psychology. UF is also top research school that works in all fields from studying diseases and viruses like Zika, hurricanes and weather patterns, combining robotics and medicine, and so much more. They use their research as a part of the social responsibility initiative The Gator Good. This initiative aims to use university resources and alumni to make a difference in the world. A few areas they focus on are the environment and sustainability, medicine, and agriculture. These three components to UF makes this school unique and a great fit for anyone who values education and innovation while also wanting to help the world or their community become healthier and thrive. While academics, research, and social responsibility are three extraordinary reasons why UF was the best choice for me, I cant write a proper review without mentioning Gator pride. I think the atmosphere on campus, in Gainesville, and globally stands out. Of course, the best example of this is on game days, fans and alumni arrive on campus around 8 am and stay for hours. The whole city comes alive with Gator pride. It is really a sight to see all of these strangers laughing and tailgating together like old friends. During my freshman orientation they said that the Gator Nation is everywhere. I didnt truly understand that they meant on the global scale and not just in the US until I had the opportunity to study in London for the summer of my junior year. I happened to be wearing a Gator scarf out one day and a complete stranger started to enthusiastically chomp across the street. Im sure everyone thought we were insane, but for a moment I felt like I was back home, in a foreign country. It was honestly an amazing moment for me, and it made me realize that choosing UF was the best decision to me. I hope anyone who needs advice with this decision thinks about the atmosphere of the school before deciding whether or not to attend. You may be in college to earn your degree, but youll be there for four years and having an atmosphere thats a good fit for you is important."

"The University of Florida has shaped my development into a young adult in more ways than one. It gave me academic opportunities I couldn't imagine earning anywhere else. It introduced me to brilliant individuals, both peers and professors, that have opened so many doors to me. It helped me learn that I have the potential to do anything I set my mind to."

"Although reluctant at first, my decision to attend the University of Florida was the best decision I have made for my myself professionally, academically, and personally. As far as student life is concerned, UF is a diverse school with organizations and clubs that span all interests. The city of Gainesville itself is vibrant and youthful because UF attracts so many young adults. I still find myself enthralled at the beauty of the campus. Something about the brick buildings and willow trees make this campus a perfect place to learn but also relax. The campus has a great sense of pride, and our sport teams are ranked amongst the best with plenty of opportunities to show your school spirit at games. The resources here are another positive aspect of this school. The campus has multiple libraries and gyms, plenty of great food options, and even a lake with activities such as kayaking and rock climbing. Academically, I have been challenged yet helped if need be. All of the professors I have had are talented educators, while also going above and beyond to support me in any way they can. Within my own department, I have developed the skills I need to succeed in life and more specifically my field. I would encourage anyone in the Psychology department, although I feel strongly that this holds true for all departments, to foster relationships with your professors. My biggest take away from my time at UF is the mentorship. My professors have been so giving of their own experiences, challenges, triumphs, etc. I discovered exactly what I wanted to do in psychology in the office of one of my professors. I was offered a research assistant position in the office of one of my professors. I ran into the office of one of my professors when I began struggling with applying to graduate school. My point is that the community of the University of Florida as a whole lifts you up. I have been supported by this university and, because of that, have exciting opportunities in my future."

"High quality teaching in the area, but not much interdisciplinary or cross-area training."
