"Pros: UF is the highest ranked Florida medical school, so it has a reputation of greatness in the SE. The first two years are pass/fail, which encourages camaraderie and pursuit of hobbies. Cons: UF doesn't give out good financial aid packages compared to the other Florida schools. Also, Gainesville is a small city and does not offer much in the way of fun things to do."

"The faculty are very supportive of your goals. They are accepting and willing to work with you so you get the best experience possible from your program. The diversity of students is neat because you are exposed to many different cultures. The only con of the school is the large number of students makes any job, internship, etc. extremely competitive. You're forced to work harder, but it is a bummer when 10 people are all highly qualified student position and there is only room for one."

"Overall I am very pleased with UF College of Medicine. UF is Florida's top-rated medical school, and students perform very well on the national Step exams for medical licensing. However, because UF is the top medical school in FL, they can get away with offering very little in terms of scholarship/grant money to students compared to other FL medical schools."

"The UF College of Medicine is an extremely supportive environment! Although the courses are challenging (like in any other medical school curriculum), I believe that the community of fellow students, as well as the wonderfully supportive faculty, dramatically ease the transition from undergraduate studies to medical school. The college is located within Shands Hospital (now UF Health), so there are countless opportunities for outside-the-classroom learning through shadowing. Additionally, we get hands-on interactions with patients from the get-go through our student-run, mobile outreach clinics. I can't imagine going anywhere else! For some, the city of Gainesville may be a bit of a drawback. It is a college town geared mostly towards the undergraduate students, but the College of Medicine is located on a relatively quiet part of the campus away from the undergraduate classes."

"The University of Florida College of Dentistry is warm and welcoming. We really are like a family that grows, struggles, studies, eats, and succeeds together. The work is hard, but the reward of knowing you are well prepared to enter the field of dentistry as a competent professional is well worth it."

"We have a very high turnover ratio of patients, large work and patient load, but this allows us to see a great variety of pathology only seen on textbooks at times. The faculty is excellent, always available. Highly recognized Neurology program, great athletics and social life. Research opportunities available but sometimes is hard to find balance between academic, clinical, and ambulatory experiences. Excellent overall, would not trade for any other program!"

"Pros: The institution overall and faculty support are excellent. Gainesville is a quaint, small town which is very enjoyable to live in. The University has a strong athletic program which is highly supported by the local community. Cons: Transportation can be hectic sometimes as parking is limited (although it is not inadequate)."

"The University of Florida College of Medicine offers the best clinical and medical research programs in the state of Florida and has a very competitive tuition in comparison to the majority of mid-tier medical programs."

"Pros: Excellent faculty and education, great sports program and school activities to enjoy, beautiful campus Cons: There is a lot of extra work that we do that is not required in other programs, some of which does not add much to our experience. No showers for after cadaver lab :("
