"I enrolled in UMA not knowing what I wanted in my college career. I didn't have really any desire to do much just knew I had to do something different. I will tell you UMA is an amazing university. I have worked well with so many different staff members, not just professors but counselors to help me with my accommodations, Financial Aid department, Enrollment, the VA side of things, Student council president and so many others! the experience is unique and they did nothing but help me every step of the way. I ended up finding a place in mental health and human services where I found my calling. with such a huge demand for this profession, it never is a dull moment in this profession. Everyone wants to help you here and it's nice being able to adjust to your schedule. they offer online classes or in-person classes. Sometimes the class could be both. The professors are trying to help you in the best way possible and they can and are willing to accommodate. I know that everyone has a horror story about schools and I also had a time or two where I had some issues in the university but it wasn't something that couldn't get addressed. This university will listen to you, they will work with you, they will provide you with the best experience possible and prep you for your future profession! I am pleased with the work they do, the service they gave me, and others. You could not and will not find a better university than UMA."

"I cannot stress enough how much I would NEVER return to this college. Their financial aid office is a joke and is by far the worst college experience I have ever had. They do not care about their students and only want your money. Financial Aid took over 5 months to process, after calling about 4 times a month. They put random holds on your student account, preventing transcripts and signing up for courses. Took away my financial aid, and will not give me my current funds. DO NOT GO HERE."

"UMA has a large number of degree options available. They also have a wide variety of class availability methods such as live class, online classes, and video conferencing. The instructors are very competent, though in my degree, there are a few instructors who teach a large number of classes iyour style doesn't mesh with theirs you are pretty much stuck."

"I switched to UMA to finish up my undergraduate degree before starting optometry school and couldn't be happier with my experience there. The professors are wonderful and outgoing. They are always willing to help students and they even going above and beyond. I was worried about optics for optometry school so my physics professor made extra worksheets and labs to make sure that I had a strong understanding before I start grad. school."
