"The University of Maine at Farmington is a wonderful school with supportive teachers who not only want you to succeed, but help you in doing so. I had professors in my psychology program who believed in me more than I believed in myself at times. The classes were not only educational, but fun! Being a transfer student from another college, I have not made a better decision for myself or my future by transferring to the University of Maine at Farmington."

"I truly am thankful for my time at UMF and my education I received from my major and various minors. While at Farmington, I was able to take courses that interested me as I grew, which allowed me to integrate both my love of science and my passion for public health. I have yet to run into a situation yet as a professional that I do not feel like we mentioned in our studies; on top of that, I am lucky enough to have a wonderful connection with my adviser to this day, and they recently helped me undertake the steps towards beginning my MPH studies in the fall. UMF is part of who I am today, and i'm constantly reminded of that."

"The counseling program at University of Maine at Farmington is very unique. Instead of taking research based classes, the program at UMF focuses on counseling based classes. This makes the program a perfect fit for someone who knows that they want to go into counseling, but not as good of a fit for people who want to focus on research or clinical work. The professors are all amazing and have unique experience, but the classes are not particularly challenging. it is set up to prepare you for either graduate school, but tailors more towards preparing you to receive your MHRT certificate, something that is offered through the school upon graduation."

"The psychology department is very knowledgeable. I recommend getting an internship before graduating. Study abroad opportunities and the honors program are very well run with a lot of options. It is a peaceful town, close to rivers, mountains and more."
