"I believe that the speech pathology program at UNT is one of the best in the DFW area. It challenges me and provides me with the best education possible to succeed in my future career. The area of Denton isn't the greatest, but that is easily overlooked based on the excellence of the graduate program."

"All of the classes are taught by the professors in the department so it tells me they really value the quality of the education they provide to students. The courses in the program seem very relevant to the field and the department seems very invested in us becoming employed after we finish. The only cons to the program are ensuring I prepare enough for the comprehensive exam and the amount of work involved in the program has limited my leisure activities."

"Cost, large size of the campus, and size if classes are cons for me. The quality and the variety of classes are pros."

"This program gives student an opportunity to learn and travel outside the US as a part of its curriculum. That in itself is a plus and gives the students advantage against others in our field."

"I know there is more to learn and obstacles do come, but the counseling program at the University of North Texas at Dallas is very organized and fully equipped to prepare me for this helping profession. Before becoming a student in graduate school, I must admit that I faced some reluctance to pursue another level of education. Honestly, I earned my Bachelors degree over 13 years ago, having a family and other responsibilities now. Nevertheless, as I complete my first year, I realize all is well. The professors give their complete support and have a passion about what they do. If there any cons, they would have to do with setbacks that come with life and living. For, the program at UNT Dallas was well ready to receive me and now works to transform me into the counselor I will become.."

"This school gives a great education for the cost. It also has multiple on campus jobs available for undergraduates and graduates. The career center is great for helping students perfect their resume and network with companies. My only complaint is the financial aid office. They are difficult to contact and make many mistakes with loan refunds. They do fix them once you finally do get a hold of them."

"I feel that University of North Texas is located in a city with a low cost of living, which some students may find affordable. Also, transportation (the UNT bus system) is reliable. Another pro is being able to park very closely to campus."

"I have been at UNT for over 10 years working on my Doctorate Degree.I have noticed the University is CONTINUOUSLY evolving and growing meeting the needs of it's students. It is become a premier research university, takes advantage of technology and has faculty and staff who are well-versed in this technology and facilitating mini-workshops for those who take initiative to gain exposure."

"The program has a 100% job placement rate, and the faculty really work with you to help you learn all you need to find a good job in the field. The program also has good ties to local businesses, so many class projects are for a real client. I feel that I've gained a lot of real-world knowledge from those projects."

"The department of Materials Engineering at University of North Texas addresses the education and technological challenges of applying and characterizing new materials for manufacturing products. The department has opportunities for hands-on research with modern equipment and facilities. However, the department should provide better and more financial aid for their students."

"The pros of my graduate program are as follows: enlists highly qualified faculty, faculty members are very involved in student success, program introduces students to real-world applications, and generates avenues for potential employment upon completion. The cons of my graduate program are as follows: it is a very rigorous program and reputation-centered, very few-if any allowances are made for real-life obstacles outside of school."

"UNT has a great Masters in Education of Counseling program. In fact, it's the number one program in Texas and top 12 in the nation. The work is challenging, but important. Denton is a nice area but somewhat expensive."

"The graduate programs here are genuinely first rate and routinely win grants, awards, and various forms of international recognition. The only problems are the administration over-emphasizing athletics, programs for athletes, and other non-academic programs at the expense of academic funding, resources, and resources for the general student body."
