"The advisers at this school were terrible, did NOT provide any support or guidance. I went 4 months without hearing from my academic advisers after reaching out multiple times. I would not recommend this school for anyone for the price you pay to be under minded and neglected. Pursue a degree else where if you want a good education."

"This online university has an awful support team, high tuition, and poor communication. I went 6 months without hearing from any adviser. Most of the time they had me waiting on the phone for over 15 minutes just to gain clarity on how to handle university policies. The instructors are somewhat helpful and can vary with biased grading. I am very displeased on how this university handles issues and would not recommend this institution for ANYONE."

"The curriculum and instructors are great and I would recommend U of Phoenix on those aspects. But I will warn that this is a for-profit school and I had the misfortune of dealing with the financial departments shady and aggressive tactics. I recently re-enrolled to finish my BS and that process went smooth. I had already completed the first week of class when I found they had charged my debit card on file $1194.00. When I called to find out why, I was informed my financial aid didnt go through so I am now out-of-pocket. I was not informed of this, and it seriously overdrafted my bank account so I went back into the portal to withdraw from my program and remove my card from my account. I knew that I didnt stand a snowballs chance at recovering that money, so I ate it and moved on. Flash forward 4 weeks later and I find ANOTHER $1194 drafted out of my bank account, just as I was recovering from the last charge. Now Im being told I never withdrew, even though I only completed 1 week of the last semester so that in itself shouldve been a system generated withdraw. I demanded my money back and that went nowhere. So I called my bank to dispute, got a credit while they investigated, only to have the charge reappear 2 weeks later because they somehow forced it through and the bank had to allow it, whatever that means. Im still dealing with this issue and had to cancel my debit card so they cant keep charging it (and I have no idea how they were able to charge it the second time, I double checked and that card was successfully deleted from my account)."

"This school does not offer good academic nor financial support, I do not recommend pursing a degree through this University. I have switched advisors multiple times, they did not assist me in recurring issues, such as their lack of communication. Overall, this school was one of the worst experiences I have had."

"This place s**** they lie and then take your money without a possibility of getting your degree cause of how much it cost, they tell you one thing and then change the classes available half way through. Save your money and time and go to a different school, the financial advisors are dumb and don't know how to calculate how much you really need to graduate. I was left in debt with no degree"

"I am taking a Master's level Certificate. The book is great. The study is good, but the application of the learning seriously lacks. Accounting is about practicing for the CPA exam by doing the process, not by doing writing assignments. The grammar and knowledge of fellow students sometimes was well below a Master's degree level. My financial aide was messed up as well. It costs a lot of money and I am not getting what I should be."

"This school throws information at you and that is about it. There is no actual teaching done here. So far I have learned nothing to help me in my career and also tuition went up without notice. Stay away. This school is a ripoff and not worth your money."

"I am reading the reviews from several students and I am not surprised because a lot of people who attended the UoP with me would wait until the very last minute to post or do their assignments. If you are a procrastinator, you will fail - no matter what school you attend. You definitely have to put the work in to succeed. My program in Accounting was very challenging but I go through it and graduated in April 2017. I plan to go back for my Bachelor's in July 2017 in Communications. It was a lot of hard work for me and whoever said that going to school online was a piece of cake was not being honest. The UoP classes are definitely challenging and I did in fact learn quite a bit. There is a lot of reading and writing involved but I enjoyed it. The only thing that I would change is that there are NO Group or Team Assignments because almost every time, other students are not as dilligent as you may be and that is very frustrating."

"I was a working single mother when I completed my degree. UoPs online classes made it possible for me to support my family while getting a degree. I know many people give UoP bad reviews but I beg to differ. After completing my BS I earned my CPA. The BS in Accounting gave me the foundation I needed to pass the exam. Before UoP I was making under $40k now I'm making $89.5k."

"I think University of Phoenix, is perfect for individuals who have a very busy life. Throughout the time that I was in school, I worked a full time job, tried to take care of things at my household, and was also working on becoming healthier. I was able to do all three things with no negative impact on my grades. They would contact me and make sure I was doing everything in my power to be successful throughout the program. I was inducted into an honor society based on my grade point average and my major. That was one of my proudest accomplishments to date. I'm very thankful that I decided to go back to school and pursue my degree through University of Phoenix. It is very true when they say they want to help you succeed and will be there for you every step of the way. That's one of the main reasons behind me choosing them as my Graduate School as well."
