The online program is a great option for people that have limited time in life due to their life circumstances . The counselors are helpful and make sure to communicate with you on a regular basis. The online classes are simple to navigate. When I started school, I was a single mother of four and worked two jobs, I am now almost finished with my bachelors degree and will be working towards opening up my own agencies here in the future. I am only able to create these future plans because of the online... Read More

Before I attended UOP I read the reviews but still chose to attend. I wish I didnt. I have had financial aid issue since day one. Please do not attend it's a waist of money and time. Whenever you need to talk to someone they will give you the run around

University of Phoenix is a pretty decent school. Academically it meets the criteria but financially not so much. The teachers were great! They were helpful throughout every course. I love that they are made available to you mostly 24/7. The financial part of things at UOP was kind of frustrating because when it came down to financial aid there were several problems that delayed my financial aid or required. I was told that an associates degree could get me into the job I wanted which is probation... Read More

The classes are good, most instructors are helpful in the area of assisting each student, most not all. The degree program allows for a wide area of study that may be of help if the student decided to change degree. But I have had nothing but problems with the financial aid advisors, each time my grant is in, the FA will not place the entire amount due in my account she is always very slow about it, (months delayed) and recently lost (somehow) over two hundred dollars out of my grant amount and I... I finished this course it was by no means a walk in the park I worked my tail off for my degree. However when I finally received my degree it says simply Associates of Arts it states nothing about Criminal Justice. Is this right.... Also the school had little to no instruction so if you are a visual learner I would look elsewhere. You do learn very rapidly however if you pay attention and do your work.

I attended University of Phoenix for over a year, taking the Criminal Justice program. It came time for me to renew my financial aid paperwork and they let me start my classes. I had completed the classes and then they told me that my Financial aid paperwork didn't go through. Then they sent me a bill stating that I had to repay the two classes that I just took before I could continue to anymore classes. I was upset because they allowed me to take the classes before my financial aid had been approved.... Read More

The text books are just redundant chapters explaining the same points. The Gamescape is probably the dumbest thing I have ever done. 8 substantive posts is hard to do with crap material. When I saw the UOPX famous alumni I was not impressed. I'm a vet and the UOPX changed my attendance 4 times and I was forced to take a LOA. UOPX told me I owe them over 400.00 and threatened to send that to collections. I'm trying to find a place to live so by putting that on my credit I'll be screwed. I called the... Read More

The worst school ever!! I would never recommend anyone to ever try this school. THEY RIP YOU OFF AND DON'T CARE!!! I went four weeks before withdrawing(after finding out none of my credits transfer to a real university) and now I owe 800.00!!! For four weeks???? After four years I could just have saved that money and probably retired!! Run if you are thinking about going!!

I was warned before starting this school but I choose to find out for myself. Big Mistake or Huge Mistake. I was told to take certain courses and when I became ill I did not go to class so they was suppose to drop the classes for me but instead they kept me enrolled in the classes and then wanted to know why I did not pay for the classes. This is a joke school. I now have 985 dollars I have to pay back for something I did not use. This should be called The University of Theft.

I attended UOP from 2005-2008. I was trying to get an AAS in Criminal Justice. After they talked me into "a small student loan" I realized after 4 "semesters" that I owed $10000.00 in student loans- makes it worse that I was told my grants paid for most of it. I dropped out of this POS because everyone told me their degrees were worthless. I know this is true cuz no one I know that has one of their degrees has a job in that field. Plus they charge $785 per credit hour- A COMMUNITY COLLEGE CHARGES... Read More

My experience with the University of Phoenix was outstanding. I have heard about others having difficulty while in class but those were the ones that made no effort. All but one instructor was difficult but the rest were on point and very caring. I would recommend this college degree program to anybody and most of all I enjoyed my time with the University and will return in 2014 for my Bachelor's degree.
