University of Phoenix was a great experience for me. I finished with a 3.5 GPA and you absolutely get out what you put in. The problem is a lot of veterans as with most first term and out wanted it to be easy. I never had a problem with my financials always got paid on time. The problem most had is they didn't know how the system worked. Bottom line is, you will study and use the same curriculum as any college out there with the advantage of an extensive library that is and will always be available... Read More

I do not have a concern with the teachers, the course work. My concern is with the relatively ignorant, very robotic, under trained financial aid team.I fell on May 16th I reached out to the school, wrote a long letter regarding my spinal injuries and the difficulties I am to date having with sitting, holding my head up, medications and side effects, etc. No one, not one person and I spoke to several, ever mentioned the option for a medical leave. I finally spoke with one of my instructors and he... Read More

I was going to this school originally however I decided to drop out after being bullied in my online class and the instructor critiqued me after I brought inappropriate comments to his attention. I followed the techniques that were taught in class for addressing a hostile classmate only to have the instructor declare that I was being demanding for expressing disappointment that the student in question (a teammate for a group project) could not deliver their portion of the assignment on time.

This college was great for the first few classes and months . Until i recieved a teacher that was absolutely terrible and so i dropped this class . After dropping this class they told me i could no longer attend the school using my GI bill because too many of their students were already attending the school using the GI bill . So basically either pay out of pocket or find another school is how they put it . Exactly put : We were notified today that you are not eligible to use your VA benefits for... Read More

I took in person classes. Online work was homework and out of class work to be done for the next class. It was regimented. It taughtbin real time with real time issues and tech. We were forced to do public speaking, presentations and it helped. It is very good for the working professional. I was already established in my career and won a scholarship to finally finish my undergrad. Its not a degree mill. If you do not do the work you wont pass. Simple. It has changed since my time yet it helped me... Read More

Overall, my experience at UoP was exceptional. I went through all of the coursework with virtually the same cohort, which helped to develop a high level of camaraderie and teamwork. I was able to solely focus on my studies, knowing that that my schedule was being managed effectively by the front office staff. The instructors were current leaders in their respective fields and were passionate about what they were teaching. The only area in which I took issue with, was transferable credits. I arrived... I went to a Brick and Mortar school. Did 2 years and did not go back. 15 years later I wanted to finish the degree but couldn't afford to take time off to go to school for 2 years. I chose UOP because it is the biggest on line university out there. They have been around for at least 10 years. And by now they should have their stuff figured out. So let me break down everything I have found out so far. Financial Aid - I declined their financial aid because the process looked painful and wasn't clear.... Read More

On August 15th, 2016, I just completed my Bachelors in Business Admin here at University of Phoenix and (in December 2016) will be pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Information Systems (IT). This scholarship will go along way to achieving this goal. Currently, I would be the first in my family to obtain a Masters Degree on any sort. Thank you for considering me as your choice.

University of Phoenix has done right by me. I have never run into any problems with my degree being accepted. I worked in an industry that required a degree for over 13 years and for 3 different companies. This was not a degree mill. My classes were challenging and time consuming. I researched a few options and this was the best for my needs. I choose it because it was accredited, the instructors had real life experience in what they were teaching and I could make it fit into my schedule. It's been... Read More

The experience of any school online or traditional will always be on you. I worked full time, father of twins, and managed to get through a 4-year degree. My employer reimbursed me for almost the entire program. I spent a lot of time reading, writing, working in groups, and taking CLEP exams to finish the program. I also took advantage of the 'prior learning experience' opportunity. Overall it was a well rounded academic experience and resume now has a degree 'completed' displayed which it did not... Excellent faculty, very helpful. and very interactive. Constant communication and challenging assignments for learning teams. Texts are easy to follow with lots of examples. Flexible schedules and great support throughout. Accommodating program and no hassles with financials. The library provides a great resource for writing and learning about writing an essay, dong a presentation or including citations into your paper.
