My experience at the University was very good; I really enjoyed the learning's, the process and flexibility it afforded me. Clearly, like anything in life, what you put into something is what you get out of it. I approached my degree truly wanting to learn; to not only learn, but to use the degree as a springboard to higher levels of education (e.g., Masters, Doctorate). Earning my BSIT from the University of Phoenix, did enable me to enroll in a private non-profit "brick and mortar" University,... Read More

UoP makes a big deal of its "academic rigor" but that claim is false and misleading. The work requirements for classes are far from rigorous; even compared with its own requirements from several years ago, in terms of both quality and quantity, the standards have slipped. Some instructors are dedicated and very good, but some are indifferent -- an indifference that was matched by that of many of the students. A third of the students in each one of my clasess walked out immediately upon being given... Read More

University of Phoenix was overall excellent. I began my second go at college at the age of 38. I was very nervous. I hadn't written a paper in years (17 to be exact), but I knew I had to do. I needed to gain knowledge as well as position myself to make more income. The advisors, counselors and professor were excellent. I had the occasional professor that was a bit more demanding or detailed, but overall my experience was great. Because I was so nervous about writing papers and expressing myself correctly,... I am only about a year into my program, but I have nothing negative to say about UoP. I have wasted so much time and money going back to school only to drop my classes, usually due to my hectic work schedule. Honestly, if you work hard and utilize all of the resources that UoP provides, there is no way to fail. They provide so much support, while still holding you accountable to do the work. You're not "buying" a degree. My instructors are very attentive and answer all questions thoroughly and politely.... Read More

I received my Bachelor's Degree through the University of Phoenix and it has made a positive impact on my career in the Human Services field. I was hired on at my first internship site and have been advancing in my career since graduation. I would highly recommend University of Phoenix to anyone that is serious about furthering their career.

As I was reading the negative comments about my school, I silently chuckled at some of the horrible grammar/spelling mistakes. Maybe you guys should stop worrying so much about people holding your hands and focus on your lack of third grade education. I previously read another comment stating that the staff doesn't check on them......Cry me a river....They call my cell phone so much throughout a semester, I usually just ignore the calls now. I love my school.

Wow! I have read so many bad reviews about U of P. Why? I am a working mother of two and the classes have been from easy to very difficult for me. English is my second language and my vocabulary has improved about 80% since the beginning of my courses. I obtained my AA in elementary education and my BA in English. My student advisors have been great and cheerful from the get go. There are some instructors that I can say were not paying to much attention but that happens in every school. Over all... Read More
