Stay away from UoP. When faced with a job relocation, the school refused to provide information I needed to complete my degree remotely. They then cancelled my program and told me 90% of my credits were invalid. The University of Phoenix is first and foremost a business whose intent is to get your money.

I graduated from UOPX in 2015, earning an online degree in BSc in Management. It was a very long road attaining that coveted degree as life kept forcing me to start and stop during my educational journey. But UOPX was with me every step of the way. Each year, my counselors reached out asking if I was ready to resume classes. Some people may look at this as follow up calls/emails to meet an enrollment quota and more $$$$ to line UOPX pockets. Sure, it's no secret that UOPX is a for-profit institution.... Read More

I was skeptical about attending the University of Phoenix because I know a lot of employers are biased about online colleges. I'm a new student, and so far my experience has been great. The advisers were helpful from the beginning and still are. I've returned to college after a long break, so I appreciate some of the lower division classes I was required to take to help me adjust to student life. I have found most of the material to be informative. The instructors are supportive for the most part.... Read More

This school is great for the working adult who wants to achieve a higher education degree. It is not easy like many others think that have no completed it. It provides a real education with teacher's that work in the field. With that being said the conversations and the real life application is on point.

This college experience has been great. I've learned a great deal from my professors and while taken courses online I was able to apply what I learned in real word work environment . Looking forward to winning this scholarship to help with completion of my MBA.

Well first off, as an 30+ year old with no degree but almost 2 years of college, I was really trying to finish up with what I had started. Even with some of the credits being almost 10 years old, they transferred quite a few. So, started off with my 2 year degree and finished it up quickly. Then I went on and got my bachelors in Management, just knocking it out one class at a time. The effort I put into these classes was a lot, especially with holding down a demanding full time job. So let me tell... Read More

I graduated from a community college in 1999, after marriage and a job that was going nowhere I decided to go back to school in 08 while working full time. I decided on UOP and graduated after 2 years. The classes where more difficult and there was much more work than a traditional class setting. I wish I would have spent more time researching schools because the tuition bills got large very fast. I am now at a new job that I love and have doubled my salary so the degree has been worth it. My advice... Read More

Three are a few things you need to know before deciding to attend University of Phoenix. 1. I worked my tail off to EARN my education at University of Phoenix, and you will too. There were no freebees from any professor. This is not a school for those who slack, or think it’s an easy “A.” 2. Every class at University of Phoenix has group-oriented projects. 2.1. Groups can be a good experience, or they can be a nightmare. It’s up to you and the other team members to manage your group. If you just... Read More

I completed my first 90 credits at a traditional university, but work and family demands conflicted with my schedule and that's when I decided to give the UoP a try. I thought an online setting would be easier to manage, but what I found is that such a program requires even more discipline than an 'on campus' program. I have nothing but good things to say about the University. They set high expectations for me, and it was up to me to do the work. With regards to cost, I don't see what the commotion... Read More

I loved my experience at University of Phoenix, the classes were small. I always received feed-back from the teachers with in a few hours if I had a question.

If you are really serious about school, I would not go to the UOP. I only go to this school because it is convenient. If I was not currently in a good job and had certifications for my career, I would definitely not be going to this school. I am currently enrolled and do not attend any classes and receive a high c or b each class only because I do not get points for attendance and participation. That by itself tells you what kind of school this is. They also have learning teams where you have to... Read More
