Student & Graduate Reviews

"I am a full time student with U of P. I have enjoyed attending this school for almost two years now. The staff has been wonderful and I feel that I have already greatly benefited from what I have learned within my place of work.It is expensive and yes it is challenging. More so than other Universities I have attending in-person, but I still believe this school was the right choice for me. I have worked very hard to keep my GPA above 3.8 and I will be very proud to earn my Associates in Business Administration and then start the program for my BA.I am a single Mom and work full time. This school has been a blessing for what it has allowed me to achieve and I know that my daughter and I will be able to greatly benefit from it.I recommend this school for anyone who is serious about obtaining a college education from an accredited university."

"I want to first comment on the ones that feel this is a good school. Most of them already have somekind of education and probably are financially stable. I have been going to classes here for about 2 months. The instructors are not prompt with their respnses to questions, and the staff never calls you back. I have received a bill from them, but they cna't tell me when I will receive my financial aid or loans. This school is all about money and getting more people enrolled. They are soo full of bull. I am a single mother of two trying to further my education. This school is definitely a waste of my time as well as my children's. I am in the process of getting a lawyer for these unprofessional scam artists."

"I have been a student of UOP since 2006. I will say that it has been an excellent learning experience and as long as you follow the requirements by the university you will find it rewarding. The problem is that over the last few years I have had at least four different academic/financial counselors a year. Every single one tells you something different and most will tell you what you want to hear. They are very nice people but they are sales people. What I have learned that while this school does offer a decent education it is also a giant scam. They will lie to you and take as much money from you as they can. You will have to pay way more out of pocket then you anticipate. I suggest any interested parties look elswhere from what I see that are cheaper schools that offer the same quality education."

"I really enjoyed my four years at UoP completing my doctoral degree in education. It was a very rewarding experience. I must say that it was a lot of intense work and one needs to be a serious and dedicated individual to succeed. And like with any institution, one finds students who are slackers and faculty whose style you don't like, and one may find a glitch here or there. This is normal. I found everyone I had interactions with at the University to be very caring and helpful. It was a great experience and I recommend it. My dissertation mentor was just the best!"

"I have attended on and off online and in a classroom setting. I have to say all the people that post negative comments about this institution seem to be the ones that do not like to do the work but would rather show up and have the A+ handed to them. I find that the University of Phoenix is very challenging and you get what you put into it. When someone says they are getting there degree from somewhere else and that it will be more respected,Does that mean that they put the same work and the name changed? I am finishing my degree at the end of 2009 and will continue my Masters at Northern Arizona University and when I brought up U of P they said that was great and it was a well respected degree and I would have no problems. Look do the work no matter what school you attend you will be accountable and the same holds true here, it is not a degree mill! U of P holds the same accreditation as all other major institutions."

"I am a proud graduate of UoP. For those of you who say that it is a joke, that's just a reflection of your attitude and ignorance. It was challenging, but worth it. Accoplishing online schooling show discipline and many top companies admire this fact. Yes, there are many group projects but in the working world, do you every work alone all the time. The group projects prepares you for the different obstacles and people that you may just have to deal with everyday. The cost is worth it because I know I will benefit from it. your experience is what you make it. And it you feel UoP is a joke, it just shows how simple you are. UoP all the way!"

"I attended the University Of Phoenix from 2004 until 2008 graduating with a BS in Information Technology. My employer not only valued my degree, they paid for it. The truth is simple, and it is true no matter what school you attend. You will get out of your educational experience what you put into it. Online learning is not for everyone. It takes a determined, focused, organized individual who is willing to sacrifice everything else to attain the goal of completing the requirements of their chosen degree program and graduating. Anything less will not cut it, frankly thats goes for anyschool you attend. I can only speak for myself, but The University of Phoenix provided me with the chance to complete a lifetime goal that i would probably never been a ble to do otherwise and I am a better person for it and extremely proud to be among the distinguished graduates of the class of 2008."

"I have been going to the UOP for 2 years now. I am in my last 2 classes. If you are looking for an easy degree, then this is the place for you... I had nothing but trouble with this school when it came to my money.. I got cheated out of 1040 which was the cost of tution till it went up again on July 1.. this was the 3rd rate increase... The teachers do not teach you here.. You do all the teaching and learning at the same time..Stay away from this school if you can!!! Easy Degree yes.. You really dont have to work for it at all... The first year I worked my butt off and found out that you really dont have to do anything... Well this is true.. i stoped reading my books last year and I still get all A's"

"I just loved UOP. The coursework was easy but demanding. I found the team projects are great because you will be working in a team. There are the same types of people on your UOP team vs. work (lazy, experts, non-listeners, experts, hard workers, compainers, etc). I found that the team projects are to see if the team can figure out the objective and divide it up well and present an organized project and ontime. Every team project was so complex and I believed it was done purposely. I remember more on how to work in a team on a project that is due than what I learned in Business Law. I remember some excellent info that I have carried on to my job. Project Management shows you that most projects fail and how to realize that and look out for it. I learned how to write better. I found that it is the school to give you the secret of how to get the best out of your time, being a distant team player. I recommended the school to another colleague and she also graduated with her MBA. I got a new job after I graduated because I felt it is time to apply. So I got a job as a supervisor and I hated managing people, but the degree is also for managing technology. I now returned to the company that PAID for the whole degree except for books and am a Vice President. Before I was an officer and then an AVP. Who know if it is the degree or my confidence since the degree. I really learned a lot and became an expect in power point. No one can do a presentation like me in my team. UOP demands powerpoint all the time! Loved it, Michele"

"I have attended this school for about one year now...and to me its an awesome school..yeah it cost a lot but...think of the benefits..you don't need to struggle and search for a parking spot, or even pay for a parking permit..you don't need to pay for books, or even pay for printing documents in their computer lab...go ahead and print 1000 pages, even if its not related to school...its all included...the school is really flexible and is mostly for adults who cant find the time to go to school while they work...I even have two uncles who got their degree from UOP and they have stable jobs making a little less than 100k....I got about another year to go...if you want just talk to a representative...they are not sales agents they will push you like any other school, but they will also give you space to make your choice...they want to take you in under there school...a lot of cops even attend UOP to get their masters, to get paid a little better...I know I have had a few cops take classes with me..IF your a business major, then this is the school for you...its a networking HUB...while you get your degree..Because most of your classmates already have a job..."
