"Very good school overall! Career Services hires people that don't really know how to talk to someone feeling lost and thus visiting Career Services, but that's ok! The campus is gorgeous, the educators are extremely smart and knowledgeable, and everyone's approachable."

"Like any graduate program, the costs and benefits of the law program should be evaluated given the totality of the circumstances. Overall, USF law is an excellent academic institution. Though the higher cost of living may be an issue for some, it should be the sole factor that may deter one from attending since the invaluably supportive community and extensive faculty support more than make up for it."

"I love that my program requires us to do field research in a developing country and to write a thesis paper. All the alums I have meet says this has given them a competitive edge in the marketplace. The finding a place to live in San Francisco was difficult and the cost of living is outrageous. USF does have graduate housing, but not for married couples."

"The JD/MBA program is great for those interested in a career of corporate law or those interested in starting their own firm. It has significantly improved since I began, as communication between both programs was lacking, which was a detriment to the JD/MBA students."

"The pros of the school are that there are some really good analytics professors. The professors are very accessible and friendly, it is the exception that a professor is not accessible. Other pros: small class sizes, being located in downtown San Francisco, and an international student body. The big con for me was the career services department. When asked why companies weren't being brought on campus to recruit our students the response was: "we are too small for companies to want to come to us." This shows laziness and a sheer lack of imagination on their part. While we have to compete with Berkeley and Stanford MBAs for jobs, it is San Francisco. There are many mid-sized companies that need MBAs and would gladly come to USF to recruit."

"Being part of a small program, you come to know your classmates and faculty very well, contributing to a strong sense of unity and class identity. In the world of nursing, collaboration and communication is everything (aside from basic competencies), and the intimate level of familiarity and forced group work common to this program appropriately imitate the challenges present in a professional collaborative environment. While you come to know all the components and participants of your program on a first name basis, the program begins to feel quite insular from all other aspects of campus, though I doubt this is uncommon amongst most graduate programs. Additionally, the school of nursing and health sciences is likely staffed at a minimum for administration and is very inefficient. With patience and some prodding, everything tends to work out, but not without a few panic attacks along the way. The curriculum heavily stresses advancement of the nursing profession as much as it emphasizes development of clinical competencies, which is both a positive and a negative - it speaks to the overarching goal of developing leaders who are capable or operating far beyond their current skills, but also leaves the student feeling a bit underskilled in the interim. Overall, it's an expensive program in an even more expensive city that is rigorous and can feel disorganized at times, but worth it if you can find the money and can set aside 2 years to push through."

"USF is an incredible school to attend. I feel surrounded in many ways by the "rock-stars" of education. Many of my instructors participate in projects and activities that either open doors for us students or are inspiring as to what we could be doing in the future. The facilities are beautiful, and gardens are peaceful - which is important given the hecticness of graduate life. This is, however, a very expensive school, and there are not many in-house opportunities for scholarships in my program. The living costs are high, and, while I wouldn't pay the price if this educational experience wasn't absolutely worth it, I wish there were more financial rewards for succeeding in the program. That said, USF is a great school, and anyone who attends is in for a quality ride."

"As a part-time MBA student I had to balance a full-time career with an intensive course schedule. The professors were all very focused on learning and practice, which I think empowers students to make the most of every class. The faculty at USF is very reputable and had deep industry experience to add context to their curriculum. The completion of this MBA program has dramatically expanded my business knowledge and prepared me very well to pursue a new career in the investment field."

"I am just starting the program so the ratings are what I have experienced or learned about so far. The difference between this and some other SPM programs are the networking and internship opportunities and the cohort style setting."

"USF provides a cohort model graduate program which is really beneficial, because I can build strong connections with my classmates and learn from them. The courses provided are relevant to my career field and are interesting. The once a week classes suit my working schedule and the courseload is challenging, but manageable. Some downsides of this program are that it is pretty long (almost 3 years), and EXTREMELY expensive. I'm not sure how I will be able to afford this program, and neither are my classmates. It seems really unfair to expect nonprofit professionals to be able to afford a 40k+ graduate school program."

"The diversity of the syllabi and students involved in the program is a huge plus. The workload is manageable and the class discussions are fruitful for both academic advancement and growing relationships with individuals from different backgrounds. I will say it costs an arm and a leg to attend USF. The program should offer more scholarships or larger scholarships to the students it admits."

"USF Nursing provides a well-rounded graduate education with an emphasis in psychosocial patient interaction improvement, social justice, patient advocation, and community health. It thrives in the San Francisco Bay Area as a school dedicated to educating student nurses to perform to the top of their potential while creating a sense of friendship and community through the student experience."
