My college classes were effective, informative and enjoyable. I transferred from St. Petersburg College, where I did not feel as positive as I did at USF. Although class sizes were for the most part smaller at SPC, I did not feel I was getting as much information, and the format was too structured and shallow. My professors at USF seemed genuinely concerned about my understanding and success. I am grateful to USF for giving me a positive college experience and a degree and education that I can be proud of.
The general culture of USF is unique. It is a amalgamation of various types of student backgrounds, upper and lower class, national and international, melding together into one calming melting pot. The college employed world class professors and educators ready and willing to ensure your learning objectives are met.
More student support for anxieties and mental health would be beneficial to the program.
Great campus and faculty who really care. A under appreciated FL great.
I loved my college, so much stuff to do and cutting edge academics. Great people everyone is nice. The gym is so cool
This degree offered both online and in-class courses that both helped me finish quicker and find the right medium for learning. For the mathematical/statistical classes, I preferred to take online. Any classes that I wanted to have more discussions on, I took in class.
There is a lot of good, a lot of bad, and a lot of unrealized potential. There really are a lot of good professors in the EE department, but there are also a lot of bad ones. The good ones are those who are clearly there to teach and enjoy it. The bad ones are those who are simply there for research and could not possibly care less about their students. The school itself is so focused on trying to appear elite, rather than being elite, that it translates down to the quality that the students are receiving. Also, now, they have specifically changed the BSEE degree to where you are required to specialize at the undergraduate level, which is without a doubt, a mistake. I am glad that I am not on the current curriculum. I would absolutely NOT go there for grad school.
Great school! Lots to do outside of the classroom to help develop well rounded individuals. Professors are also very helpful.
Great Learning environment. Top ten in the U.S. for number of patents every year. Great research school. Great Gym facilities and sport facilities. Very nice and affordable city to live in. Close to famous beaches in the US such as St. Petersburg, clearwater, Fort Desoto, and Sarasota Beach.
Art history program is small, which has advantages and disadvantages. Faculty does not actively encourage or facilitate internship opportunities, which can be extremely valuable in the real world.
