"As I always tell new students: you get your money's worth. USF is one of the cheapest universities in the state, and that comes at a cost. There are better schools, and there will always be better schools.. for a price. USF is also a relatively young university, and it shows. The campus looks great, wonderful amenities. Sadly the practical things are lacking, such as sufficient parking, enough classes, quality learning/teaching facilities and quality instructors. The graduate programs are becoming more and more competitive on a national level with other universities, but USF still has a long way to go. I highly recommend USF if your goals are to focus on research and academics, if you are a self-sufficient and self-driven student and if you are interested in being a member of an up and coming university that tends to be rather laid back."
