"The MCOM offers a lot of support both from faculty and current students! There is always someone willing to answer your questions and emphasize the value of wellness for all members. I choose to attend this medical school program because of their values of clinical exposure and training emotionally intelligent physicians. There are a lot of other perks that come with attending a medical school that's nearby the undergraduate amenities and close to multiple hospitals. The location is ideal with lots of affordable housing options and resources nearby."

"Pros of my graduate program is that it allows for growth and improvement. The program really takes what the student body has to say into consideration and most of the time they make great efforts to address and satisfy the classes requests and needs. Cons of my graduate program are that administrators are constantly being shuffled during this certain period of time. The lack of continuity of professors is worrisome and is a cause for concern with expecting patrons to be there long after we are gone."

"My graduate programs provides us with all the resources to become great pharmacist with their networking, internship opportunities and even academic help to ensure that we succeed. The faculty and staff are very supportive of us as well. The financial aid support is very helpful, I wish there was more to pay for books and supplies."

"USF's Physical Therapy program has a lot to offer. The curriculum really does get students ready for the field. The area surrounding the campus isn't so great; it is very high in crime. There are always security guards and campus police officers roaming the campus, which gives it that safe feel. I think the school could really work on their financial aid resources offered to graduate students."

"Pros: - USF is preparing me to be a healer of people, and they're doing it well. - USF curriculum is an almost perfect balance of clinic/classroom dynamics. - We have access to 3 major hospitals and 1 cancer research institution. - The staff is extremely helpful and the atmosphere is one of a big family. Cons: - Not specific to USF, but getting financial aid information was a bit of a headache - Florida is HOT!"

"I graduated from USF COM'S Biomedical Master's program and am now an entering first year medical student. During my year completing my Master's I had excellent teaching and resources. Whenever I reached out to the professors and faculty they were very helpful and available. The class was very competitive (most likely because your classmates were the people you were competing with for admission into medical school) but I think that it ended up helping me thrive. I am now an entering MSI. I have already found that the class has a great camaraderie and the school provides a lot of support. The financial aid office was very helpful and willing to help me with whatever questions I had."

"The pros of attending USF's Morsani College of Medicine are many, highlighted by quality of education, high faculty to student ratios, access to school funding, and the great networking opportunities available through its close proximity to Tampa General Hospital and other affiliated hospitals. The cons are the high cost of a medical education, and the fact that commuting can sometimes be difficult in Tampa, Florida."

"I love my graduate program at the University of South Florida's School of Music. It is a tremendous difference in comparison with the program at my undergraduate program, which was not only a small private school but it also did not offer a Master's program within music. I love being competitive and striving for the absolute highest and I am so thankful that USF offers that to me. The people within the program are so helpful and all want to become not only better musicians, but better people overall. The atmosphere is wonderful and something that I want to continue being a part of at USF. One con with my program is something that all grad schools tend to have an issue with: assistantships and scholarships. Not many are received because the music program at any university lacks funding. There are many students at the school of music that deserve scholarship and have not received anything, despite their efforts. That is mainly the only issue that I have had but overall it is still a great school to attend."

"As part of the Rhetoric and Composition program inside the department of English, I have had an incredible number of opportunities for professional and scholarly development. In particular, the r/c faculty are a brilliant and invested lot. Though compensation and workload are challenging, I'd still highly recommend our program."

"For the Master's in Medical Sciences, one advantage is that it technically the same as 1st year medical school. One disadvantage tends to be the fact that it is an extra year of tuition and fees."

"I believe that my graduate program, Master of Science in Medical Sciences, adequately prepared me for my future education in medical school. I feel that the great volume of material improved my study skills. I do not have many negative things to say about the program itself. However, the class sizes were very large (around 200+), which did not allow a very individualized approach."

"USF was a great school overall I enjoyed many of the classes. Overall the professors were decent but many did not seem to care about the students in general especially when asking questions after class hours. I can't complain too much because like I said USF offered me an great education for the price of tuition. I wish USF would have been more helpful in guiding graduating seniors with career advice and helping to network."

"The Master's in Medical Sciences graduate program I attended was a little disorganized because it was only established a few years ago. They are still ironing out anything that doesn't work and trying to perfect the curriculum. I think they still need to find better professors for some of the topics. We had a few that were either so hard to understand, or completely uninterested in teaching so those classes were very hard to enjoy and it made learning the material much more difficult. A pro is that I was exposed to all the core science classes that medical school students take within the first two years of school. This adequately has prepared me to dive into medical school as I now have had experience in all these classes. While the information was more superficial than what I will encounter in medical school it is definitely enough to give me a basic understanding and set me up for success as a medical student."

"The program overall is well structured and provides help to students. The size of the number of faculty is both a pro and a con. The small size allows for more personal attention to be paid to each student but limits the subjects that are taught each semester. Although there are few faculty they all specialize in a wide range of interests and specialties, which allows expansion into unfamiliar fields of art history beyond the western scope. Funding, as per usual, is always an issue. The program does provide financial aid but is limited due to the amount of funding the department receives."

"USF Morsani COM has great professors, hospital opportunities, and research facilities. Hospitals nearby include the James A. Haley Veteran's hospital, Shriner's, All Children's, and Moffitt Cancer center. We have also partner with Tampa General Hospital and the Center for Advancement of Medical Learning, the largest facility of its kind in the country. Built into the curriculum is a scholarly concentrations program that will help students develop their interest. The student and faculty are very much centered on student wellness. Members of the faculty, including the Deans, are easy to access. The financial aid department has been amazingly helpful so far, and the workload for a first year medical school student is more than reasonable. There is a wide variety of student groups representing all kinds of interests and cultures. Our class is equitably represented in terms of gender, and minorities are present. The grading is pass/fail with the opportunity to earn distinction if a certain grade is maintained throughout the first two years. However, there is actually perhaps not enough competitiveness in terms of academics, along with minor issues dealing with academic integrity. Finding a parking spot is a skill that needs to developed by the student. Some of the requirements lead to driving long distances to work in distant hospitals. Although USF has moved to incorporate all the latest technology (online modules and resources, recorded lectures, etc.), there are still technical difficulties. The Health campus is not the most beautiful or impressive, but this will be changing as new building as planned. We have our own cadaver lab with fours students assigned to a body at a time, but no histology lab (histology is all virtual)."
