"After my experience with UVU Education Department I would not ever recommend for anyone to attend or be part of this school. There were several times that the teachers brought in for the program were horrible and not qualified to teach the subject they were teaching. Professors were not clear as to what to do or expect during the student teacher process. The professors and Dean are all part of “the good boys club” and are not encouraging or helpful to students."

"I don’t want to be rude but, the professors here in my opinion are not too helpful. Same with the advisors. I am in the process of going to another school. I am sad since this University was very close to where I live. I have had nothing but bad luck with this school. The college I am transferring to had to help me get my transcript because my advisor wasn’t helping much. I have only had two professors that honestly cared about my education and made me feel worth their time. I am trying to make the best out of my experience with college. I lose interest in a subject when the professors lose interest. I feel like I don’t learn anything."

"I would not waste your time. One of the classes I took had clearly not been updated since at least 2007 and the teacher was not contactable. The financial aid office was a joke and the payment plans they come up with to help are obscene. They clearly only care about the money and not their students."

"Utah Valley University is a very good school and an accredited school. It is also considered as one of the best schools here in Utah state Most of the leadership positions in many of the organization here in Utah are held by formal student graduated from the Utah Valley University. Student can contact instructors via online face to face or phone or chat interaction to ask about a clarification of an assignment that you did not understand. Instructors tried to put you in teams to work in team to have a real-world experience. Professors tries to include everyone in class, so no one is left out. Campuses, parking lots and building keep expanding every year to accommodate more and more student. Information System department are also one of the best departments at the Utah Valley University. Academic advisors are amazing. They are willing to help you complete the program quick and successfully if you include them in the class registration process. I would recommend anyone who is willing to go to university to consider Utah Valley University. If a prospective student is in doubt, he or she could check out the review from online and all that it is been said are true."

"Utah Valley University is an excellent school that is very much on the rise. I loved the accounting program, and everything that I was taught there has already helped me to land a great career at an incredible accounting firm. What I love most about Utah Valley University is its focus on providing a great education to its students. UVU does not have a large focus on research. While some might see this as a poor decision and the reason that UVU does have the prestige of Harvard, I see it as a wonderful opportunity for the students. Most, if not all, of my professors had been working professional in the field for years and years before ever working as a professor at UVU. This offered great experiences that we, the students, were able to learn from. I love the education that I received at UVU, and I would recommend the school to any student who is in search of a great education."

"I love Utah Valley University's focus on engaged learning, this is an especially beneficial attribute with a degree like social work. When applying for graduate schools and jobs relating to social work, they primarily care about your experience in the field. Utah Valley University starts engaged learning long before you start your program. During my freshman and sophomore year, I had several classes that required community service. This helped me to be a valuable candidate for the BSW program and also helped me develop relationships with community partners that I could connect with my junior and senior year for further service opportunities. If you are looking for a university that engages you with the community, Utah Valley University is an excellent choice."

"Utah Valley University's Bachelor's of Science in Nursing program is the most diverse academic experience in the State of Utah. All races, genders, and orientations are welcomed here, making the learning experience enriching and vast. Each student brings a welcome wealth of understanding, and with the small class sizes, each member of the cohort takes turns as both the learner and the teacher. Speaking of teachers, the faculty at UVU are both experienced practitioners and skilled lecturers making each subject covered personal and true to the profession. At the UVU nursing program you truly to participate in "Engaged Learning""

"My experience at Utah Valley University has been unbeatable. I have gone to UVU for 4 years, and will be graduating this semester. In this time, I have worked with almost every teacher in the music department. One of the best things about the music department is that students really do get amazing opportunities that don't exist elsewhere. A huge example of this was the fact that I was able to be an assistant conductor for UVU choirs for 2 years. In this position, I acquired invaluable skills, and had experiences that simply aren't available to undergraduates in normal circumstances. At auditions for master's programs I was told that my preparation was superior to most of the other applicants, some of whom had taught high school for years. This is all thanks to the quality of instruction of the choir teachers Dr. C. and Dr. W. They held weekly conducting lessons, and gave me about 5 minutes each day in rehearsal to work with the choirs. This kind of immersion is unheard of and unequaled by any other institution. I was also asked to compose a piece for the men's choir and teach it to them as well as deliver a performance of it at the state choir ACDA convention. This kind of hands on experience for students is exactly what UVU is known for. In every department, not just in music, there are opportunities available to students where they can become engaged with the school, community, and their passions. UVU's motto is "engaged learning," and I have definitely been a benefactor of this attitude. I would recommend UVU to anyone who wants to go to a college where students really do get to be in the driver's seat!"

"Utah Valley University's accounting program is a very well thought out, and progressive program. It demands excellence from its prospective graduates. However, the faculty and staff of this program are wonderful and very helpful individuals. Most professors are willing/ require to meet one-on-one to ensure that students receive all the help and resources necessary to succeed."

"Utah Valley University was an amazing school. Even though it is one of the largest public schools in the state, somehow the class sizes were small and intimate. My professors were helpful and knowledgeable. I never felt that I was wasting my money or that I was missing out on a more enriching experience. While at UVU, I decided to participate in the Education program, which I feel was one of the better decisions of my life. The ed program at UVU is outstanding. My professors were so knowledgeable about their content area and really had great advice and insight to help me become the best teacher I could be. I felt very prepared when I went to interview for jobs and when I officially entered the classroom for the first time. Specifically, the classroom management and creating assessment classes were spot on. I felt very prepared and ready to take on education when I left UVU. I also have several colleges who graduated from UVU and they have expressed the same feelings."

"I was a transfer student from a nearby school to UVU. I am a firm believer in finding the school that fits you best and UVU was this for me. I studied Biology and Pre-med and the courses were tough but enjoyable. I feel I learned a lot and am well prepared to start my master's program in Fall 2017."

"As like many of you, before deciding on Utah Valley University and settling down to finish my degree, I attended four other schools within the state of Utah. Utah Valley University is a wonderful university. I have many university experiences that I can compare it with, but the feeling here was simply different. Class sizes were rarely more than 25 students, which allowed an extremely personal relationship with the professors. I didn't feel like the hidden student in the classroom, and overall this helped me perform better. It is much easier to go under the radar, but the problem is that you don't have anyone to hold you accountable besides yourself. Every teacher I had, with the exception of a few, had been part of the industry before they ever became a professor. This is extremely important because they could rely on real life experiences when teaching a concepts. Often times as students, we feel that the professor is simply teaching from the book, and we could read the book and learn it on our own. The best professors I ever had put their personal touch on every subject. More than anything this helped me get an idea of what career path to choose after college. I received an understanding for what each professor went through to get where they were at that point in their life. The classroom atmosphere is the number one reason I recommend this university to every student. Of course there were activities and programs, but the main reason we should go to school is to learn. This university is for someone that is looking for an education that will stay with you for the rest of your life, and it won't feel as if college was a simple door you just had to pass through. At Utah Valley University it is a door to open, but behind it is a continuous journey and the staff is with you the entire way."

"This was a great program! I emphasized in Social Work with the degree and unfortunately was too far along to change my major to Social Work but I still felt like I got the education I needed to move on in my career. I have been working in the Social Work field for almost 3 years now and will soon be attending graduate school to receive my MSW and I feel more prepared than ever thanks to the wonderful professors at UVU!"

"Utah Valley University is a growing school focused on creating opportunities for students to really become experienced in their field, not just to understand the theories. It was named the 2016 top Public Relations program in the nation by PRSSA. This is the second time it has received that award in the past 5 years. The focus is on internships and work experience which creates a great advantage for graduates."

"Utah Valley University was an excellent place to continue my higher education. Staff and students were friendly, the entire university was geared towards student success. On occasion you'd even see the university President walking around talking with students. I completed the Bachelor of Social Work program, which was amazing. All the teachers really got to know you and worked with you to succeed. I also was challenged academically and made many lasting friends in my program. Go UVU!"

"I earned a 1- year certificate as a child care aid. we did class work study and we had hands on experience in the pre-school that was available at that time. I felt very well prepared to teach pre-school and was able to teach at a local pre-school in the Provo area for a semester and get paid. I did get married in the fall of 1979. I had a child about a year later. What I learned in the program helped me immensely in teaching my own children. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone desiring to work with small children in any capacity."

"Although I did not have a great experience at UVU, there are still some things of value about this school. A lot of my professors were valuable resources of knowledge that helped me get where I am, although the classes were hardly rigorous and didn't push you beyond what was said in lectures. The school has become overcrowded by the lack of an enrollment cap. Every student would benefit from smaller class sizes and more a more personal relationship with their students. The B.S. in Biotechnology program is fine, being that it is the only program of its kind in the state. More work could be done to improve the labs to focus on what employers are looking for in new graduates."

"The business program at Utah Valley University greatly prepared me for a career after college. It was affordable and did not bankrupt me. The instructors were top-notch, even for a smaller public institution of learning. I was prepared in every way for life after college."
