Vanderbilt University offered the full package of things an undergraduate student wants. The academic discipline was challenging and the professors are world renowned. There are many already existing majors and the option to create your own dynamic major. The social life is un-matched with consistent access to SEC college sports games, Greek life, religious organizations, professional clubs and campus social activities. Moreover, the network once graduating is accessible, diverse and extremely helpful. As I now move onto a graduate degree at Chicago Booth , I feel I chose a program that mirrored the experience I had at Vanderbilt because it was just that great!
The Engineering Science degree within Vanderbilt's School of Engineering was a great choice for me! It was an incredibly flexible degree with a large opportunity to personalize my course load. I was able to take a huge variety of courses both within and outside of the Engineering department. The course requirements allowed me to focus on the project management and business side of the tech world. I was able to add a second major- Psychology- to my study, and with these two very distinct areas of study, I am able to understand both the technological and human-factors aspects of the business world.
Great school with diverse offerings to fit any personality. Heavily Greek oriented but felt like it brought students closer instead of dividing. Fantastic amenities, food options, course offerings (can design your own major), clubs and study abroad programs. I most enjoyed meeting students from different walks of life and from various countries. The bond you form at Vanderbilt will carry through life. Alumni are ALWAYS willing to help out their fellow Dores!
Vanderbilt is a fantastic university that guides promising students to promising futures. The opportunities and education I received at Vanderbilt is invaluable! The university also makes college a reality for many students like myself who do not have the financial means to attend college. I'm so thankful for Vanderbilt!
A college education's role in preparing you for the job market is secondary, in my opinion, to its role in giving you the freedom and skills to think critically about the world around you, to entertain and evaluate ideas that seem, at first, foreign or even repulsive to you, and to empathize with those unlike yourself. Vanderbilt University is cognizant of this fact and gives students the freedom to explore and develop these human faculties while simultaneously assisting your economic prospects.
Vanderbilt is a great university and has a great campus. You will great great friendships with a very diverse pool of students and acquire one of the best educations in the country.
I loved it! Great classes in all respects: professors, subjects, quality of material, size. Great social life with tons of clubs and student groups. Competing in the SEC was a lot of fun. The campus is BEAUTIFUL. Most of the dorms are alright, especially the new ones. Food is great.
Wonderful experience at a quality school. I definitely recommend Vanderbilt University. My adviser was very involved in my program and it was well-rounded.
Vanderbilt has great teachers on a great campus.
The campus was beautiful, the social life was a lot of fun, although definitely very southern, the city is amazing and the classes and professors were great.
