Simply a great school. The staff is helpful and it is easy to get the information you need from the web portal. My opinion is that this is a school way ahead of its time. The thinking behind the way the educational system teaches students is changing. The way people learn is changing and many of the traditional brick and mortar "only" schools are now realizing what Excelsior has built their philosophy off of. I waited entirely too long to go back to finish, but because of advances in technology and newer, more relevant educational model's students have more options available now. I am currently an IT systems specialist with a focus on Cybersecurity. In this field you used to be able to get by and do pretty well for yourself without a degree. However, at some point in your career you'll reach a brick wall if you don't have that "paper" in your hands. Excelsior college is reputable, I was able to take classes in my state, online, and anywhere the class was offered. I took classes from the best places that had the credits I needed. It makes you wonder why other colleges are taking so long to change their educational model. Today we have smartphones, tablets, wireless technology, and the internet. But, why haven't our learning methods at our universities been brought up to date? I proudly hang my diploma I worked so hard for in my office. I could easily say that I had to work harder for my credentials than "traditional" students. It's not an easy curriculum. You have to be disciplined and willing to work to get this degree. But, the college staff and administration have a really good grip on supporting their students truly from start to finish. I truly believe in our school's motto... ever upward!
