Weber State University Reviews
This degree program prepared me for a career in the family studies field as well as for graduate school. The upper division courses were set up to allow for students to ask questions openly to professors and receive feedback in a timely manner. Assignments and exams assessed what was taught and learned in the courses. Many courses also had a community engaged learning component allowing for students to apply experiences to real world scenarios. Courses were offered online and on campus although a few of the last semester courses were solely offered on campus and I did not mind this. The campus is right next to the mountains and you can walk from one side of campus to the other in under 15 minutes based on average walking speed.
The program is constantly advertising, that they have 100 percent job placement. Which is incorrect many of the students ended up jobless, or working for places that didn't even require a degree in the first place. At one of my interviews I was offered $35,000 a year, which i considered to be a joke, because I was running my own Electronics repair business that was making that much at the time. Angry at the low $35,000 offer, I applied to an engineering masters program right afterward, which is going to triple my current income. Oh and the $60,000 a year corporate positions that where promised went to the only girl in the class. Who was obviously hired because of her being the only girl in an automotive world, another wards the government was supplementing the company for hiring her on.
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend Weber State University and to be a graduate from the Radiation Therapy program. From the moment I began inquiring about the program to the very end, the program director Casey Neville, was there to encourage and support us through the program. The instructors are excellent and will stay late to help you with any topic that you do not understand. It is very apparent that they are truly there for the students and to help us succeed. I am very proud to say that I am a graduate from this program.
The Weber State MRI degree is a great degree for anybody who is looking to advance their career in Radiology. Being that they offer a online degree it sure helped with my work schedule. Their cost is little bit high and it is a great degree. Great school and great professors!
Weber State University is a diamond in the roughotel. Located in the cozy mountainside of Ogden Utah, this University offers a unique college experience tailored to each individuals needs. Known as a commuter college, Weber State has relatively few student dorms, due to the fact that most people live off-campus. In doing so they are allowed to take on many other responsibilities such as full time jobs, community volunteer service and cut costs on expensive housing fees. Weber is by far most notable for its dedication to community engaged learning. The university offers numerous classes that force students to become activists in their comminity. It even has a branch of stidentity government dedicated to the cause. I am so grateful for attending Weber state and allowing me the opportunity to help out many local non-profit organizations while working simultaneously on earning my degree
The teachers in the Special Education program were great. They were helpful and willing to work with you. I love the use of Canvas. It was very helpful for turning in assignments and getting work done. The teacher could put resources on it. Overall, the program was amazing.
Weber State University is great. The professors are very flexible and easy to work with. You are taught by an actual professor instead of a teacher assistant. It is easy to find a class that fits your schedule because they offer the same class at multiple times. Parking is a little difficult, but they do offer a $20 dollar bus pass that can be used for the entire school year. Several buses have routes that go to the college from all over the valley.
The medical laboratory science program has been amazing in preparing me to pursue my career as a physicians assistant. Weber state university was great academically and I would recommend this school to anyone I know. There is no greater major to prepare for medical school or physicians assistant school than the medical laboratory science program.
I loved this school especially for the health sciences! Every professor I have had has been great. We were even able to meet with the University President a few times and have lunch with him. I have enjoyed this school and I am glad i choose to come here!
I was duped by WSU staff into believing that an EET was an "Equivalent" to an EE degree. Many of the classes won't transfer to another degree even within WSU if I were to go back and update my degree with an EE degree from the same college. WSU indicated at the time I was in attendance that the EET program was an "Equivalent" (or the same as) degree to an EE degree from other schools. It is not. Without ABET accreditation (www.abet.org) many companies will only higher a graduate of WSU at "Technician" level. Even with 20 or more years of experience, many companies look at the EET degree as "inferior" to an EE degree and don't necessarily care about experience. If you are considering an EET degree, please reconsider a degree that isn't a scam.
