"Go to West Chester for Physical Therapy or a similar degree. Otherwise, you're better off elsewhere. They'll let you fall through the cracks and not bat an eye, so long as you pay them for the privilege. I completed a Bachelor's in History, without the intent to become either a teacher or historian. Nobody, at any point in the process, whether they be the head of the history department or a history professor, informed me that a bachelor's degree in History without any additional qualifiers is essentially a coupon to make $30k a year or less at any generic 9-5 office job. West Chester does not under any circumstances force you to sit down and plan out your graduate career path-- they let you fly by the seat of your pants. I've been constantly told by family, friends, media, and fellow students, that a Bachelor's is all you need to enter the job market in the field you've selected at college. Turns out, a Master's is the new Bachelor's! But, as long as Sallie Mae is dishing out loans and your payments are coming in, West Chester doesn't care. They'll let you do whatever you like, whenever you like, so long as you dedicate yourself to "finding yourself" by living (and paying) on campus, at their bookstores, for their park passes, paying their parking violations, and becoming a "more well-rounded person" at their institution. Thank goodness WCU is comparatively cheap. But, that may be the precise reason I didn't get the help or formal career instruction I needed from the only individuals best qualified (and paid) to provide me with it; simply not being paid enough to care."

"The graphic design program at West Chester University is a major scam. Extremely primitive. Does not level up to other school programs, and does not prepare you for the field. The professors that are head of the graphics department have very low level understanding of the Adobe programs, and we were encouraged to look into signing up for external programs online to learn more and teach ourselves."

"I attended school here from 2014-2018. I had an amazing experience at WCU and wouldn't change it for the world. For the most part professor are passionate and helpful. The only professors I didn't love were for my science courses (I took about 6 science classes) They really didn't know how to teach the material. They just read from slides and that was basically it. Once you get into upper level courses it becomes more close knit with your classmates and professors. Good party/bar school that is for sure! The campus is beautiful and the staff around the school is pretty friendly! I made so many friends here and had a great college experience."

"The education classes were not structured to help future mathematics teachers; we always heard about how to approach other subjects... and then oh yea there's math, too. The math classes are very hit or miss. If you have a good professor, the class can be awesome, but some of the math professors do not connect well with their students."

"West Chester University is a community built on a foundation and expectation of excellence. The university is inclusive and welcoming and has endless amounts of resources to their students. The partnerships that are established on and off campus are a true reflection of how invested the university is I the student body. I was able to obtain an internship for four consecutive years, which allowed me to obtain networking experience and job experience allowing me to leave WCU with a nice bulky resume. Small class sizes, incredible professors, endless activities, all provided the perfect combination for success and a second home."

"I transferred to West Chester University after spending my freshman year at a college in Boston. This college had a tremendous program and I really enjoyed the city. However, when I began my sophomore year, I was not happy there any longer and realized that I should just transfer to West Chester which has a tremendous education program which would help me become a teacher. The professors were very accommodating and I only had a handful throughout my time there who I felt were not the best. The English program was powerful and helped prepare me for my career as a teacher and then my career as an administrator."

"I spent all 4 years of my undergraduate career at West Chester University in PA. From my experience, it seems as though not many students remain at the original school they choose, but my first choice was the best choice. Not only is the campus and town beautiful and safe, but the staff was better than I could have imagined! All of my business professors had real life experience; I loved hearing their stories from previous jobs. The classes were entertaining and helpful with preparing myself for a fulltime job. Attending this University gave me so much confidence and knowledge that I was able to land a full time management job 3 months before I even graduated. West Chester's classes are very accommodating so I was able to finish my last semester and work full time with no problems!"

"Most boring place on Earth. Most of the professors are nice, but some are unimaginably horrible. I learned nothing, and hated every minute of it. They do whatever they can to scam you out of your money, from throwing you into a dorm room your freshman year with all kinds of pre-existing damages and making you pay for them, to forcing you to buy a bull**** meal plan if you live on campus. There's unnecessary construction everywhere that will wake you up in the morning and the dorm hallways always smell like puke. There are much better schools. I suggest you find one."

"I am grateful for my education. I have always loved to learn. However, a college degree or even a Master's degree does not guarantee you the career of your dreams. Do it for yourself, but don't have any preconceived notions of what it may bring you."

"The school was flexible and allowed me to get a degree that met my needs. It wasn't cookie cutter at all. As a working student, the classes fit into my schedule, were relevant, and contained students at similar places in life. I was extremely pleased with the program."

"West Chester University's MPH was completely in the evening, with exception of one class, which allowed me to work in Philly while being in school at night. The professors were really nice but there is one biostats professor (forgot her name) you MUST HAVE. She's the only professor with like a million degrees after her name lol. She's the reason I'm in a lucrative career of a data analyst!"

"West Chester University has one of the best Music Ed programs out of all the state schools, and with the rising cost of tuition, being able to get the quality of education I did while keeping cost minimal was ideal. My professors were there every step of the way helping to make sure I had what I need to build a successful career after graduation. Along with the academics, I made some forever friends while I was a student at WCU. Student activities and extracurriculars were always available and made for an incredible undergraduate experience. I now work in a job that I love getting out of bed for and have just been excepted into a once in a lifetime graduate program out of state. West Chester was everything I'd hoped it would be and more."

"West Chester University of PA is an amazing school. From its beautiful campus to its challenging academics, WCU is the picture-perfect school. I studied nutrition and dietetics at WCU. The College of Health Sciences is located on South Campus, which is about a mile away from North Campus. This, I would say, was a blessing and a curse. While the health science students like to stay close-knit and with their own kind, it is a hike from North Campus. I believe the nutrition program at WCU has prepared me pretty well as I move onto graduate school. The activities and extracurriculars on campus are endless. A student can become involved in a fraternity/sorority, a club sport, a club of interest, etc. The University connects students with many opportunities to network in their field by hosting job fairs, career seminars, and resume building help. I would recommend WCU to any student who wants to have a positive and fun college experience!"

"My school has a fantastic opportunity for new students, and returning students to excel in their fields of study. All without getting caught up in the city life. West Chester is a very nice and quiet school to attend. Most of the classes all take place within walking distance of each other which is very convenient. The thing I enjoy the most about my school is the scenery and the environment. This is because the school focuses very hard on providing an appealing look to their students. All of the buildings can be accessed on one street either through walkways or direct access. This provides a giant meeting hub on the street where students can get food and socialize before classes. One downside to the school is parking. If you, like me, commute to school then parking permits are a must. Otherwise be prepared to walk up to two miles everyday just to get to campus. All-in-all west Chester university is everything I wanted in a college life. Anyone thinking to attend this school would instantly fall in love."

"West Chester University is located about an hour outside of Philadelphia and combines the quiet of a small town with the excitement of living so close to a major city. The faculty and staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will do everything they can to help a student succeed. I encourage everyone to check out WCU for their post-secondary education. Go Rams!!"

"West Chester University is a good campus. The library [Francis Harvey Green] has a considerable amount of reference books; the reference books you cannot check out are located on the 2nd Floor, and the Special Collections on the 6th Floor. The library staff are polite and very knowledgeable. The students have developed a bad habit of staring at their cell phones and walking very slowly, on areas of the sidewalk that contain a heavy volume of people traffic. The food carts are the best method to obtain quick and substantial food. Lawerence Hall Dinning is $7.00 for all you can eat, but it lacks a steady pace of food supply. Often the only food available is a salad bar, rolls, and dry cereal (pretty desolate)."

"I attended West Chester University from 2004 to 2008 and graduated with a Bachelor's in English & a minor in journalism. My expire at WCU was great. The teachers were mostly top notch except for a few bad eggs but I suspect that that is anywhere you go. My only gripe would be that the advisers could have been better at assisting and in their general knowledge of the curriculum requirements. Be sure to make sure you take ownership of this. Overall, I would highly recommend!"

"West Chester University of Pennsylvania was the perfect school, offering flexible evening classes, which enabled me to earn a masters degree full time, while simultaneously working full time as well. The curriculum was challenging, but not overwhelming, and the professors were excellent and helpful when needed for clarifying information or requirements. I will never forget the one on one time I spent with my professor for bio-statistics. She took time to personally make sure I understood the concepts and walked me through how to do specific analysis in SPSS. That experience changed my life and made me forever respect her as a professor. Of course, there were other professors who were essential to my matriculation through the program though! Overall, WCU was a great experience!"
