WGU is good for a quick degree. It being quick though means that you do have to have good time management and motivation. I wouldn’t even say that the classes have professors because they take forever to reply and they just send automated messages anyway. They have a lot of resources but it’s difficult to navigate and you have to schedule an appointment, and they aren’t usually appointments that are soon. I also wasn’t prepared for the setup of the university. While I know getting. Masters takes... Read More

I attended a brick and mortar school and graduated which was a great experience! Although I wish I had attended WGU first, the affordability is unmatched. I really hope universities follow in WGUs footsteps and create a well designed and affordable education system for all!

I found this website looking up another school's doctorate program and saw way too many negative reviews about WGU. I just finished at WGU and LOVE LOVE LOVED it. It's accredited, low-cost and reputable. My bachelor's degree was obtained in a traditional brick-and-mortar institution. Then COVID hit and I decided to go back to school online for my Masters at WGU. I was able to afford my tuition out of pocket on a self-pay payment plan. I just finished two full 6-month terms for under 10K and I am... Read More

Everyone is going to have different experiences and outcomes based on a number of factors. However, for me WGU was a life saver in many ways. After spending many years in the medical field, feeling burnt out, and reaching my max earning potential; I decided it was time for a career change. After months of research, I decided with WGU. I got my bachelors in accounting first and then went on to get my MBA. I almost immediately landed a new career and have the earning potential to double my previous... Read More

The convenience and affordability of WGU's MBA was unmatched when I was searching for a master's degree. I loved how flexible the program was, and support was good. However, I didn't feel like my knowledge of business expanded much from my undergraduate studies. I don't regret choosing WGU for a master's degree, but it has been unfortunate to recently discover how unaccepted the MBA is when attempting to gain admission to a credible and accredited PhD program.

This school is no joke. Classes are tough. I am an MBA student. I really recommend this school if you want to learn and prepare for a career. One of the most important things to do is to keep communicating with your mentor, otherwise, you won't succeed.

I found the program and support to be excellent. I really liked the value-based, all-inclusive approach to education. There were no hidden fees, and all course materials were included. My mentor did well to keep me on track and motivated. If you really push yourself, it is possible to earn a degree in a single semester.

My honest review & experience. Where do I begin? I enrolled in this school mainly because for self-paced & tuition. Can't argue with that. My goal was to graduate in the timely manner that fits with my schdule. However, my entire experience is nothing but frustrating. From the start, the enrollment counselor was extremely annoying. Talked to me like I was in kindergarden. The weekly mandatory calls & appointments is a hassle. The financial aid totally changed my package plan without telling me. I... Read More

WGU is an amazing university providing the competency-based education where a student can proceed at their own pace which can be fast or slow depending upon the learning style of the student. I completed 3 classes in a few months. The online interface is easy to use, the student mentor is always helpful and the course mentors are willing to provide as much assistance as needed.

Very challenging and rewarding MBA! I've earned 2 degrees at WGU and it has enabled me to spend time with my family and complete my schooling. WGU is the future model that all educational institutions will be following. Rather than charging exorbitant fees and tuition, WGU provides astounding value and support from a highly respected institution that has made it possible for me to become credentialed in my field.

I believe in the programs at WGU very much. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in 1984 and had been out of school for 30 years when I enrolled at WGU. This program was exactly what I had hoped to find. The MBA program was an accredited program and it was tough. Anyone who believes an online program is easy has never been enrolled. The greatest asset that I found in the program was my student mentor who encouraged me for over two years while I was taking various courses. The hardest course in my... Read More

I have been going to college on and off for the last 24 years. I have earned two A.A. degrees from the local community college, a B.S. in Business Management from WGU, a very recently a MBA Information Technology Management, also from WGU. I have had a lot of people ask me about my experience at WGU so I decided to write my official review. My quick answer to what I think about WGU is that it worked for me, and it worked for the current me. If I would have attempted this program in my early 20s I... Read More

This is a great school but beware that you will need to put in a lot of work to complete your classes. With that said WGU provides a lot of support. There are live lectures (called cohorts) for every class, tons of quizzes through most courses, and a large amount of information including online textbooks and computer based training for some courses. Each course has mentors (Professors) with flexible appointments to guide you along. In many cases I was able to schedule appointments on the weekend.... Read More

WGU is NOT for everyone. WGU is NOT easy! If you are a WGU student and you don't like your mentor get a new one! In 2010 I graduated from WGU with my B.S. in Business Administration. In 2016 I will graduate with my MBA. Also, I have graduated from the local community college with two Associates Degrees. I have done the brick and mortar thing and I have done the online thing. They both have benefits and drawback. I personally found my work experience to be extremely beneficial to my educational program.... Read More

Excellent program for professionals who buckle down and work. This style of learning is great for people who are driven and self-motivated. I studied 2-4 hours per night to graduate in a year. An MBA in one year - saved myself countless classroom hours away from home and $30k. With 20 years experience, I did not expect to gain much from the program (just wanted the three letters on my resume) but was surprised to find myself applying many of the concepts learned to strategic planning (great insight...
