Louisiana Tech University Reviews
Student & Graduate Reviews (7)
Small classes, more intimate setting. Was able to spend more one-on-one time with teachers to go over questions and such. Campus small enough to be convenient. VERY POOR parking situation, and have heard that it has gotten worse in recent years. Beautiful campus. VERY conservative. Lots of rules about alcohol, opposite genders, living off campus, meal plans, etc. Good selection of food on campus. Town very small. Few restaurants, stores, entertainment, etc.
It is a smaller school, which has its benefits. I liked that I could call administrators and I would actually talk with a person to get problems resolved. They also work really well at long distance students.
My degree program was fantastic. I loved the time I spent at Louisiana Tech University. I had math professors that loved the subject just as much as I did, and would help me dive into the different aspects of mathematics. It is a great university and I highly recommend it to any one wanting to go to college.
Louisiana Tech is an excellent school. As an alumnus who went to a more "prestigious" university to pursue my graduate degree, I can say that the amount of attention that each student gets at Tech is incredible. The university is serious about making sure that every student receives the attention they need to succeed!
Family and Child studies is an incredible program. It's sole focus is on people. The professors in the department are all absolutely wonderful and all of them have shown that they are willing to help and support any and all students complete the program. It genuinely is like one big happy family.
Louisiana Tech has wonderful instructors that combine rigor and real-life experience along with curriculum.
It was easy to get around campus, good student body, great teachers, peaceful if somewhat boring area.
Start as general education and get your basics down first what you really want to do will come in time.
