"NYU Law is a great school that admits a certain kind of person. We are all type A personalities with a "faux hippie" mentality. The environment is very welcoming. Although there is competitiveness the first year due to the mandatory curve, the atmosphere is very collaborative. We have a listserv in which students solicit assistance in notes, syllabi, books, etc. We have a wonderful career services office. They do a great job in ensuring we are informed and knowledgable about the job search process. They also provide many networking opportunities. Atmosphere: We're in one of the greatest cities in the world! (I would say THE greatest but that honor goes to my beloved hometown of Chicago) Always things to do, see and eat to get out of the law school bubble. We also have great campus security and housing. I've never felt unsafe or pressure to find an outside (expensive) apartment."

"Overall NYU is great. It has the same issues as most other law schools but it also comes with living in NYC, which is quite expensive."

"The quality of the faculty is exemplary. The financial aid is complicated and wanting for a school in its location. No convient affordable housing for graduate students after the first year, and none for married/partnered students. Prepare to spend a reasonable amoutn of time commuting. Resources are lacking as far as instrumentation and facilities are concerned. Faculty is not terribly diverse, no analytical or physical chemistry members. Mostly biologically oriented chemistry."

"NYU is a fantastic university with extremely responsive faculty and professors. Being part-time, I often have to seek guidance outside of regular office hours. However, all of my professors work with me to meet and discuss school projects and fellowship applications. They are always eager to help me towards my intended direction of study. I love NYU, and I am looking forward to the start of the new semester."

"PROS: -Professors do not want students to fail; they are willing to help students and encourage students to contact them if they have any questions or issues. -Course load is a bit reasonable if going part time; lots of reading, group assignments, papers, and exams. So far, I have learned a lot about the HR field and I am loving it! -The Wasserman career center offers tons of job opportunities and student employment. The center also offers lots of prep classes (ex: interview prep, cover letter and resume building, etc) -Career advisers are very involved and help create your schedule and make sure you are on the right track to graduate on time. CONS: -Very expensive. -Need more study areas and computer labs."

"NY is extremely expensive for many Latin American students. I am a Latin American woman. The program is incredibly well planned and it has awesome academic resources."

"Great resources, excellent faculty and couldn't ask for a better location. Programs to facilitate undergraduate research are lacking though. Also, the Masters program seems to have less access to resources than the PhD program."

"Overall, the NYU Silver School of Social Work's program is rigorous and extremely valuable. The academic coursework molds students into social work professionals who become and stay competitive in the workplace. The program has a well balanced curriculum, which addresses the applied techniques necessary for high quality hands-on clinical work, as well as the theory and policy that help clinician's offer services in a rich and dynamic manner."

"Pros to the program are that it offers a close-knit community. Students and faculty are very supportive of one another and offer resources. Cons to the program is the lack of connection to the university as a whole."

"The facilities are set up to assist students in every way possible. Workload and overall quality of education are well above average at New York University. The campus and surrounding areas have plenty of security and social hubs that make NYU a great location to learn."

"New York University's MA Art Therapy program is rigorous and I am confident that it will allow me the opportunities to have a successful career in this field. The program is flexible and the faculty is realistic regarding the financial stresses such a program can have on an individual. As a result, they are open to negotiating a curriculum path that meets both my educational and financial needs. Lastly, the faculty is understanding and highly accomplished. I couldn't be happier with this program!"
