They may be DEAC accredited but I can assure most employers will not accept this degree. You totally get what you pay for & no wonder why its so cheap."

"I would like to add my review regarding Ashworth College. I have been with James Madison High School and Ashworth College for 5 years now. I have not once been treated poorly by my teachers and i always received a reply in a timely manner. I see that many reviews are not covering the course work and are instead covering customer service. My material has always been the most recent. I have had zero issues when it came to my textbooks. All the material was relevant and orderly. My course work is great and i enjoy the overall layout. I am part of the honors society and i would like to point out that i still am able to be challenged with my work load. It isn't too easy nor is it too hard. Now let me cover the customer service aspect of this school. Yes, i have dealt with two not-so-friendly representatives and i made a report and they were dealt with accordingly. That was 3 years ago and i have never had an issue since. I pay my tuition in full every semester and have no been hit with any fees that were not disclosed in the student handbook. I truly enjoy this school and the online community! I do recommend this institution to anyone who wants an affordable, flexible and accredited education."

"From their Vice President to their Customer Service Reps this college is extremely unprofessional. There have been numerous issues with courses, transcripts being evaluated, waiting too long to have assignments graded, books on back-order, quizzes within the courses not having the same information as in the book and just overall confusion and madness. I am surprised this college is even still running! I neglected to mention how I have never been able to get a tutor. It always sends me back to the recorded greeting. Terrible college. The only good aspect is the price."

"I graduated in 2016 with my Associates in Criminal Justice from Ashworth. The degree granted me contract PFC with the United States Marine Corps, so I began studies for my Bachelors in 2017 while enlisted. It's cheap and recognized through the Department of Education, which is honestly the most important thing to employers these days. If you grew up in a poor family like me and you and your family never had enough money to send you to college, Ashworth is an amazing opportunity to get a quality degree at an affordable price. I've honestly learned a lot just by teaching myself online."

"This school is legit. Everyone talking a out transfer credits.... why bother when you don't need to? Regionally Accredited schools do one thing and one thing only, CHARGE you more. Ashworth does not. You can get an Associates, Bachelors and Masters here. If you want to transfer to a regionally accredited school, you can transfer to American Public/Military University and get the rest of your degree from them. They are also reasonably priced. Don't let people scare you. They are just afraid to hustle. The quality of the material from this school is right in the middle. It isn't Harvard, but it isn't high school level either. It is challenging and requires work. I LOVE how the text books are professional and used by the same Regional schools. They cut through the BS and let you read about the main points quickly, instead of going through a ton of material and shit you don't actually need. I have learned so much from my classes and it truly is at your own pace."

"Tech support is good and they respond quickly. The website goes down for maintenance every once in awhile as they update classes and materials. All my books and materials are automatically sent with no need to download additional materials. Always a quick response to questions from professors. Tuition is reasonable, and never had any issues with making payments. The site is easy to navigate and the classes are excellent."

"I would recommend Ashworth College to anyone who wants to get a degree, but does not want to spend a fortune. Ashworth is nationally accredited and that is really all that matters when looking for jobs. No company really cares about where you went to school unless you are trying to be a doctor or a lawyer. If you are looking for the best true value for your money that IS accredited go with Ashworth. I was a corrections officer and once I graduated from Ashworth with my Bachelors in Criminal Justice I was able to secure a much better job with a private security firm making 50% more than I was before."

"I was suspicious of the school before I enrolled. I looked it up online and checked their BBB status and I felt comfortable to join. I had a very good experience with them. The text books were mailed in on time. The instructors were always helpful when I needed them. I did not need them a lot because the study materials they provided were self-explanatory. I am glad to be a part of Ashworth college. I know I don't have to worry about disheartening student loan."

"I completed my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Ashworth which had been a lifelong goal. The format , pace and price are the right fit for a busy working adult with family commitments who wants to complete their education. I immersed myself in the curriculum, which allowed me to retain a lot of the information from the program and that's exactly what I wanted. I am actively looking for a regionally accredited Graduate degree program in Criminal Justice and I feel that the education I received here at Ashworth College provided me with the tools I need to succeed at the Graduate level. In order to provide the reader with full disclosure , I have to mention the areas where Ashworth has to improve. The customer and administrative services at this school are awful. Expect to have your requests delayed, answered incorrectly or have the contracted employees treat you with little care or regard for your education. This is an area where Ashworth has to greatly improve, and if you notice a great deal of the negative responses on this site are due to the fact that they receive really poor customer service when they ask for assistance. Here is a general warning for students who require a real professor or staff to guide them along through their course of study, there are no real instructors for these courses. This is a true self-paced model, where the student has to be an independent learner in order to succeed, especially at the Bachelors levels as the course work does get more difficult. You will have access to tutors and a real life human being will correct your papers with feedback, but there is little else outside of those areas where you have live interaction with classmates or directly with the instructor, it is almost non-existent in most of the programs. Lastly, I wish Ashworth College would fine tune its programs and apply for regional accreditation for their college programs, so the issue could finally be put to rest. I am in a government position and the degree is fully recognized, but if they would finally take the leap and get regional accreditation it really would elevate Ashworths reputation. Those of us that are sick of hearing about the debate of who holds the gold standard in accreditation could finally rest knowing that Ashworth has made the commitment to offer the so called most accepted form of accreditation for their students."

"I have enrolled for the AA program but I was so pleased of the course that I continued, the staff always answer the phone and provide guidance and help when necessary The course is at your own pace and very clear, it really challenged me and, being an English second language student it improved also my English ... will enroll in the master program soon."

"For me this was the way to earn my degree. I hated driving to classes after working all day. At first I was very concerned about attending Ashworth due to the negative comments I saw on the web about customer service or that its a scam. But I figured I would give it a try as I have started and quit 3 different times. Signing up took a bit that that was expected. I took advantage of the chance to test out of some of the classes in order to save money and time. This took a bit to get going but it did work out great for me. I was able to test out of 7 classes which saved me a lot of time and money in the end. Some of the classes were very easy for me and others took me back to studying once again. I did have to contact the school but it was due to my own issues and there policies. I never once had a negative contact with their customer service. If I felt I was right I would explain why and to my surprise they listened and ended up siding with me. I have not used my degree to move up in my career but I have moved on in my career and I do believe having this degree helped me and gave me one more item that others did not have. You get what you put into Ashworth I believe. If you want A's then you must do the work to get them. If you want to just get by and earn your degree at your own pace and your own environment then that path is there as well. The best part for me is that when I could no longer afford to pay upfront for each term I was able to finance my education with Ashworth with no interest. Granted you have to pay this loan before you receive your degree but you are listed as completed until your loan is paid in full. I wish I would have done this 20 years ago but of course this was not around then."

My employers who have regionally accredited degrees had no problem with the school being DETC accredited. I have nothing but good things to say about Ashworth and it has been a great experience for me."

Before you can study anything about criminal justice you have to go these useless subjects on how to study...Are you kidding me! I know how to study okay!
