"The problem I had with this program was that after each lesson you are given a test. The program gives you 3 chances to pass the test which is great however you are timed during the test and each time the majority of the questions are different from the previous set of questions."

"I enrolled a long time ago, and I didn't get a chance to graduate, but I had no problem finishing the program; back then, as soon as I enrolled, they sent me the book for the whole program ( if I'm not mistaken, it had been more than 24 years ago). I finished it within two months; the problem was, I lost my job, and I couldn't pay anymore, so I abandon the program other than that they were a good school. I gave it four stars because the course was too easy for me."

"Defiantly DO NOT go with them if youre expecting your externship to be started in a timely manner, I have already had to pay an extension fee due to them not being able to place me in my desire location yet they failed to let me know until I contacted them 4 weeks later (because I was told, give them 4-6 weeks to place me) so now I went and found my own location, which I was in contact with the man who was supposed to arrange it with the pharmacy, well I was told 4 weeks ago I would receive a call back, still no call, I try to call back the number he called me on and it doesnt receive calls it can only make calls, I have emailed numerous times and no reply, they are VERY unprofessional, the pharmacy is just waiting for them to contact them so I can get stared and Ive just been waiting and waiting. Every time I call to talk to the man I need to, I only get the ignorant academic advisors, that have no earthly idea about what to do other than to email the man. THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A NUMBER TO REACH HIM EITHER.?? Like are you kidding me? BIGEST WAIST OF MONEY. By the way when the guy in charge contacted me 4 weeks ago he told me it would just be a week or so until he got my all set up.. a month later and Im still waiting to here something? They shouldnt be able to waste anyone elses time or money, also youre on a time schedule to get your program done and if you dont finish within the time frame you have to pay an extension fee of 95 dollars, I just received and email that in 60 days Ill have to pay for another extension fee because they wont call me back and get my program started. This is a JOKE. They are just trying to prolong so I will have to pay another extension fee on top of the 699 I already payed. Nothing but a money hungry site. STAY AWAY!!!"

"I started the pharmacy technician course in 2017 and finished it within a few months. I have been waiting for almost a year for the promised externship. They keep making excuses saying that there are no externship positions open at this time. I am not willing to pay the $700 for this course because it is beyond ridiculous. They treat you like dirt and do not give what they promise. Their customer service is terrible and they just want your money. I will NEVER recommend this school to anyone! I already filed a BBB complaint because I feel scammed out of a lot of money. I went out on my own to find an externship and no one would take me. I will not pay a cent more to this scam of a program because I feel like I learned nothing and they have done nothing to advance my career as promised."

"I have been waiting on the last step of the course which is the externship for more than half a year. I paid for the fingerprint and finished all the forms long time ago. They couldnt just place me in a CVS or Walgreen. I called and emailed for many times, but they just kept having me to wait. It is definitely not worth waiting for this. I spent like $700+ on this course, but now I spent most of my time waiting."

"First off Id like to say about every time I called to speak to the staff they did not give the impression they cared about my questions or concerned, infact their responses sounded belittling in my opinion. And not very helpful. However S. was very polite. I had went through my course with a 4.0 grade point average and when I completed my lab simulation test I was supposed to be placed for next turn ship I had followed all the requirements and steps to obtain my pharmacy technician trainee license and I waited six months to be placed and still I could not be placed. And now theyre wanting me to pay more money for an extension just so I can sit here and wait some more. I wish that someone wouldve mentioned to me how long the wait process could take instead of making me wait in limbo. I felt it was very unprofessional on their part to not keep their students in constant contact and keep them updated as to at what point in the process they are in the placement. If you are very serious your future I would highly recommend not using Ashworth College as your school. Im sure others have their own positive experience but this was my personal experience with them."

"This college is a joke. Very unclear on expectations, very slow at getting back to you, and in my particular program they made it seem again and again that there was "just one or two things" that needed to be done before I could get experience in a pharmacy. The course is organized very poorly in general. Also very unprofessional. When I called to get help for the first time they put me on hold for an hour and 20 minutes before I finally decided to just finish the task to the best of my ability. I seriously discourage anyone from taking a certificate program from Ashworth. It is a total rip off, especially when considering that for just a couple hundred dollars more you can enroll in a local community college and complete a certificate 3 or 4 times faster. A real bummer that I had to waste so much time and energy."

"This is one of the most inexpensive college certificate programs yet it takes way too long to process the certificate and the promised portions of the certificate. You are looking more to graduate within 6 months or more, so the 4 months is advertised to market and prey upon your desire to finish quickly and without having to pay much. Customer service is not their strongest attribute of the school and you get what you pay for. There's a reason why it's cheaper than most programs. After being in this program it actually deterred me from pursuing a career in this field and now I'm thinking about doing something else. I wouldn't recommend it. Even though it may sound like I'm being overly critical is a reality that you might face with this program. I'm sure that their career service representatives cover a broad spectrum of degrees and programs."
Great academics, Awful operative capability

"Let me just say first, the school has awesome academics. I can't speak for all of their programs, but as far as pharmacy technician certificate goes, it is in great depth and was overall very good. However, operating within their secure website was very, very difficult for me and I am 21 years old- so it's definitely not because I don't know how to use technology. You have to wait up to a few days for different lessons to properly load and cache onto your portal, it is very sensitive to logging into different tabs, and MOST FRUSTATINGLY it sometimes does not let you login to your profile at all, for no apparent reason- no matter which browser you use, no matter if you restart your computer or laptop, etc...it just gives up! which as you can imagine is quite frustrating. So long story short: is it worth the couple hundred bucks? yes. Will you want to call customer service and tear them apart for such poor fluidity in the portal? yes. Now ya know. Hope this helps."

"IF YOU ARE MILITARY, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT GO THROUGH ASHWORTH COLLEGE AS A CORRESPONDENT COURSE. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION SENT IN A TIMELY MANNER TO THE V.A. TO RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT PAYMENTS. THIS WAS THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WITH ASHWORTH COLLEGE AND THEIR MILITARY DIVISION. OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS GOOD."

"I was told they would help find externship only to find out that was a lie. I was told would have to pay an extra 200+ for one. Are you serious. Then when I go online again I see where they included it in the newer course offered to others. This is not even three months later!!! I felt betrayed and was not able to find an externship on my own. I feel like I paid for nothing. Then at graduation time I paid for all my stuff only to have to not be able to attend because my daughter was hopitalized with a serious rare condition. So I asked could I be sent my diploma cover and anything They handed out at graduation. I explained to them in detail what was going on and that I would provide all information needed was told it would code me 30 for the diploma cover and I could come back in 2016 and attend that graduation. Since I was unable to get externship or anything else as far as training in just hanging on to a piece of paper that I can't use. I suggest you go to a school to get some hands-on as well as a real teacher, they can't provide you with help to questions in your book as far as question review or sampling the exam. How am I suppose to know if I got it right of they can't even help explain the correct answer to you."

"So Ashworth decided to change their Pharmacy Tech program in Nov 2014, 2 months after I started my program. This change, thus affected their accreditation, which effected the licensing requirements in several states. Long story short, I wasted $ and time. They never notified me that they changed their curriculum. I found out when I asked them to complete my certification form on my CA licensing application, that's when they notified me that their program is 1) no longer accredited, and 2) didn't satisfy the minimum academic threshold for CA. Wtf? Really? Not to mention when calling there all extremely rude and unprofessional!!"
