Shaunda - 9/19/2016
Degree: Healthcare Informatics
Graduation Year: 2018
"I've chosen to attend Capella University because the admissions process was a lot easier to pass; though I prefer a more brick-and-mortar college. Capella is a nice university of itself. However, my program in health care informatics do not live up to the expectations that I had. The courses taken are fluff. I wish the program was more tailored on informatics itself without all of the irrelevant extras. But looks like I'm enrolled in the program for now. This is the only downfall that I have about Capella. Though it does boast on being a good quality online university."

Disappointed consumer - 9/12/2016
Degree: Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Graduation Year: 2016
"The DNP program has been the biggest joke. I am well over the recommended number of quarters to complete my degree. There are road blocks every step of the way. I have wasted so much time and internal consensus between faculty either, they all disagree on what constitutes an acceptable project. Some have raved about how great my project is, only to have it repeatedly kicked back for more and more. But if this for profit organization keep you in school, they reap the financial benefits. BEWARE."

Adam Ciccio - 9/12/2016
Degree: Counseling Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016
"This school is a joke. I went for my doctoral degree in Addiction Counseling, I registered for the first courses, and realized that the program isn't even nationally accredited! Then when I decide to drop the program and return my books, before the classes even start, the school tells me I can't return them!! I end up owing $279.00 in books I will never use. Just a horrible, horrible experience and I do not recommend ANYONE to attend this "school." If you're going to take online classes, try U of Phoenix or another more accredited school. Don't get scammed."

"Mental Health Counseling I am working on my Master my classes are all on line. I will completed my coursework in a little under 3 years (I work full time). Thus far I've enjoyed my time here at Capella, My online classes are enjoyable plus it has really worked for me because of my full time work schedule. The teacher are willing to help, I've had no problems when calling the school about anything this far. As a new student i will tell you attending Capella University online learning programs require the learner to have discipline, dedication, and determination. It is not an easy ride- you must apply yourself."

Degree: Instructional Technology
Graduation Year: 2005
"I'm so surprised by poor reviews of Capella. My experience was very rigorous (so not "fun") but well structured and professionally delivered. I gained enormously from the experience and my career has reflected that. You get out what you put in, as with everything in life."

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016
"Capella University and their Flexpath BS option in Psychology is a wonderful alternative to regular online programs. This program allows those who are busy as well as independent learners to move at their own pace. This program also provides support such as an academic coach as well as a tutor."

"I was a bit skeptical at first, but after the first couple of weeks into my first class, I love it! The staffs at Capella are friendly and helpful. Terrica - 8/25/2016
Degree: Accounting
Graduation Year: 2018
"I have been left no choice but to write you as my efforts at Capella seem effortless. Instructors will grade the wrong paper, and keep the incorrect 7% score in the gradeb ook. Furthermore, the advisors (T.B.) do not return phone calls unless you make a "phone appointment by following the link in the signature of the email". In over a week, I have not received phone calls back from Dr. G. T.B,  F.H. or Dr. B. ,B-W., even though I left them all voice messages. I have been on the schools' Twitter page and Facebook to complain, but no one seems to care enough to contact me. I will be sending more email chains soon."
Laurel, Capella Staff - 8/31/2016
