Very disappointed. I took the online degree--just about every semester, a class was canceled because of (according to them) a lack of enrollments. This meant that I had no choice in which class to enroll in--some semesters I could only enroll into ONE class available for my degree. In two different semesters, there wasn't any available open classes for my degree program and I ended up having to sit out until following semester, which resulted in a lot of wasted time. Getting ahold of student advisors... Read More

I left the program in the 2nd quarter. It seemed like a joke. The teacher was kept reading fro a book. Seriously!? I can do that myself at home! Emails to the professor was never answered. I emailed her three times about my assignment grade and she never replied. Pathetic experience. I have enrolled to continue my studies at another institution.

It is pretty good school with experienced professors and diversity students. The only problem is that the social activities are poor, there is not much extracurricular activities for students. The campus is kind of small compared to other universities such as uw, and seattle university.

Program was easy and not challenging. It's like a 2 year study guide. There were some classes that were named differently but had the same material, coursework and books. The senior class is a repeat of the very first class. There are no lectures and all the PowerPoints are hand me downs from the Internet. Most students copied and pasted their discussion answers from online articles and plagiarism was rampant with no checks. One student who graduated with a 3.8 truly thought that Moby Dick invented... I submit this is the most practical MBA in Seattle and I've heard from coworkers about others MBAs. It is comprehensive AND practical. It's a complete system of leadership and management with useful tools on every class. You can learn it from class to class and apply it at work.

At first, I really like the school because one of my teachers was really good at her class. That made me want to stay and I had optimist expectations about the university. I still admire her a lot because she is amazing at teaching. The rest of my quarters have been difficult, because of the responsible of my double degree course at my Hometown university. I am a really good student and sometimes I feel coordinators and the responsible should have more empathy and flexibility for students, that also... Read More

This "college" is a joke! Tuition is astronomical and does not match the quality of education received. The faculty pool is small, the instructor selection doesn't exist, you are stuck with the same people throughout your program, most are fresh out of PHD school and lack field experience, have very clear biases and gossip about each other to the class. The school itself doesn't have an adequate library or bookstore, there is no caf, or student lounge. It's an overpriced manufactured college experience.... Read More

I've completed 5 degrees (at 3 different online & brick and mortar schools) and can honestly say that my time at CityU was well spent. The class sizes were small enough that I received timely feedback on my performance, as well as any questions I may have had. The instructors were all knowledgeable professionals in their respective fields, and each took time to share their professional experience with us. The amount of work was manageable for both onsite and online classes formats. (I averaged 2... Read More

This was not my first grad school degree. However, my only degree with CityU of Seattle. My professors were part-time PhD faculty also working full time in Boeing and in Microsoft Corporations in Seattle while working as part-time faculty teaching the MBA program in the Management Information Systems major program-MBA. The main advantage of my MBA experience with CityU was the quality of my professors bringing ( passing to me this experience) me their solid "real life experience" in the field of... Read More

The program was excellent. The instructors were generally from the business world. The classes were relatively small, 25-30 students. The classes were in the evening and were structured for people who were working during the day. They took prior work experience into consideration. The interchange between students and instructors was excellent. I also attended the University of Washington, Seattle, and all my credits from those classes that applied to my degree were accepted.

I went back to school after a long hiatus. It was great to be able to access my education while I continued to work. It was a very rigorous program but one that prepared me for working with students with disabilities. I was very pleased with the level of professionalism and care that we received in our program and highly recommend them.

I transferred in to City U from a CC program. I chose the BSBA in Business Management as a good fit for my existing skills, as I was looking to do a mid-career pivot. Overall the classes were good: relevant to current business topics and trends and relatively challenging. City U (at the time, at least) struggled with having relevant, up-to-date technology courses and facilities (I had initially intended to get a networking degree but found they had no technology lab or equipment to work with, and... City University took more transfer credits towards my (online BAM - special program for Boeing employees) degree than any other college at which I evaluated for finalizing my Bachelor's Degree in a reasonable time frame and within budget. I enrolled with the understanding that my tuition would be $X amount for the duration of the program. Unfortunately the tuition doubled in the 2 years and I was stuck at that point because I had already wasted another year towards my degree program. The courses... Read More

I attended City University on site in Bellevue, WA. I have been promoted and hired for many of my positions because I had a Bachelor of Science degree. I already had an Associate degree in Business from Pierce College. I was also already in the IT field and had been for years. The cost of classes and books were very reasonable for me. I would save up during one quarter for the next one, a very small inheritance also helped big time. My last year was paid for by my employer (that was great!). I made... Read More

I think the quality of your education truly depends on your degree program at this school. But really that's the case with all schools. I am halfway through the Criminal Justice undergraduate program and feel like I've already learned more than a friend of mine who got his CJ degree from UC Irvine (a well-regarded school). The courses are actually quite rigorous and challenging. I think some students get overwhelmed by the workload but personally I appreciate the quality because I'm there to learn,... Read More

I graduated MBA in Finance 2010. This was a very good experience, all my professors were very knowledgeable. One thing that I would recommend the school, they should make a tougher admission to business. I felt it was too easy for me to get admission to this school. And stop advertising online, good school it should advertise from words of mouth.

This was a frustrating and underwhelming experience. Were City U not the only Bachelors education program in Seattle, I would not have gone here. Even now I regret it. The teachers, administrators, and school is extremely disorganized and lacks any student support. Even while in the program, I actively discouraged others from going here.

I have lots of people I once knew studying at City University Seattle, one of them I particularly want to mention is a student who is studying language course at the university. It is very unusual to me that, she has no abilities to communicate whatsoever, but passed the exams again and again, even though she was catched once because of cheating, but not been punished nor warned. I had asked her to quit such kind of irresponsible school but she thinks it is easy for her to gain degrees because of... Read More
