"Fiu was amazing and the accounting program there is great with amazing professors and plenty of networking opportunities. Many students ended with multiple offers from the big-4, national, regional and local firms. If you do decide to attend make sure to join beta alpha psi or alpha."

"FIU was an overall fantastic university with opportunities for a wide variety of students. The faculty and staff is readily available to assist with both academic and professional endeavors. There are also many diverse organizations on campus that are great for networking. The resources available are also in abundance which made my experience that much better (i.e. library resources, financial resources, health resources, etc.) I would definitely recommend this university to anyone."

"Florida International University is a place of diversity, a unique and welcoming aspect that I instantly gravitated towards to. Since the moment of my first class, I have felt welcomed, respected, and comfortable in its environment. FIU's slogan 'A World's Ahead' truly embodies what the university stands for in terms of its academics, integrity, work ethic, diversity, and university culture. Likewise, each degree department contains student advisors, teachers, TA's, deans, and the like of which all care for your wellbeing, academics, and are there whenever the going gets tough--should it ever come to that. With that being said, I can't thank FIU enough for opening its doors for people just like me. I would recommend this university to anyone and everyone."

"At FIU with its two diverse campuses you can be sure to find where you fit it. With the help of professors and advisors that will assist you in your journey. Every single person I have come across (at either campus) has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable in their field. This provides you with a sense of comfort that those that are teaching you, know what they are teaching. I can now go into my chosen career field confidently, knowing I received my education from FIU."

"It is a program with great staff and great classmates. Sometimes it got a little overwhelming. The professors may look intimidating but they are always willing to help. The campus is a beautiful campus with a lot to do. However I wish there were more career fairs and job assistance for my major."

Degree: Hospitality Management
Graduation Year: 2016
"The Hospitality program at FIU is great. This program really helped to shape me as a professional and as a person. The hands on experiences during my fours years were amazing. From cooking in a kitchen to serve real guests to working for the South Beach Wine and Food festival every year. Get ready to dedicate your time but it is really worth it."

"FIU is a great institution, the teachers are amazing, the campus is beautiful, and the education is very affordable. It is a public school, there are lots of students enrolled and you really have to focus and be on top of your degree so you don't fall through the cracks, there is no babysitting there. However you take the good with the bad, the prices are more affordable than any other Universities in the area. If you do take out student loans you won't be drowning in them after you graduate. My particular degree wasn't geared towards a specific field so it's been more difficult for me to network and find the earning potential in it. However I'm a proud alumni and always will be. My degree has given me an opportunity to go into teaching which I love has become a passion for me. I chose a different school for graduate school simply because of convenience however I would attend FIU again in the future."
