Independence University Reviews - Associate in BusinessSee reviews of all programs at Independence University
So far, everything has been good , decent, and on time. Instructors are easy to get in touched with. It seem like everyone has their own experiences, and reading some of these reviews kind of got me scared to attend the classes. LOL. But I've noticed the instructors are easy to get in touched with , I have their personal numbers, and actually send them a text message when needed. So far, I haven't had any problems. Thankfully, I was approved quick, and waiting on my tablet and laptop.
First I am a veteran and would recommend that no other member of the military ever even consider this institution. When the VA finally decided to do my knee surgery, I immediately contacted the school. The instructor became hostile and informed me that I was jeopardizing my degree that was equal to a Havard degree. Can you imagine? I called the president of Independence University and informed him what was said. He apologized, and admitted that this was not the truth. The next day the instructor called me and berated me for not keeping up in class. I informed him that I was not interested in his class any longer. Calling the president again, I requested the instructor no longer contact me for any reason or I would drop out, and it was agreed upon. The next day the instructor called and so I informed him I was dropping out. Period. Don't call back. Now I owe over 2,000 dollars, because I could not travel to wherever in the hell they wanted to sign the proper form to actually drop out. After over a year they finally accepted their worthless (used when I got it) laptop back, which they tried to charge me almost 1,700 dollars for.
The faculty and staff are amazing. I never felt like I was alone. My instructors all stayed in touch by telephone and email through all my courses. The program was very good. The classes weren't easy, but almost all of them were relevant. It was a great choice for me.
I am currently attending Independence University. I have not had any problems or concerns. The instructors are there to help you when you need help. They offer lots of services to help you to achieve your degree. Good place to start the rest of your life.
I started school at Independence University in October of 2015. I was 17 years old at the time and recently turned 18 of May 13, 2016. This college is actually pretty great. I have learned so much. The instructors are great and always help you when you need it. I will have my degree in May of 2017. The classes have actually excited me a lot to go into my career field.
This school is very fun to me, and I am glad I attended this school. The instructors are great and the glass is great. I was kind of hesitant to keep going because half of my pell grant and my unsub/sub money went towards my tuition and I have to pay for school and I cant find a job. Hopefully the next half of money comes to me and I can pay for it. Overall this university is great, I would suggest the university to people
I didnt want to go to college, I felt lost at first but then I just decided to walk in and everyone made my experience nice and easy they took me step by step for applying! So easy I was not nervous anymore i was actually excided they worked with me they understood me and made my monthly payment something I could afford. Its perfect I never thought I would do this, for anyone who says this school sucks you might of just had a bad experience or just been negarive about it. I work and stay busy at home and still manage to do my school work its just great! Teachers are amazing, even the homework is easy with all the help i recieve from my free resources.
I am a single mom - without this school I wouldn't be where I am today! I talked to a lot of schools before I made the decision to go here; I'm glad I found Independence University. I will graduate next year in January. I worked full time since I was 16, I am now 48 years old ... I found that even though I had over 25 yrs experience in management that I wasn't making the kind of income I deserved because I didn't have a degree. I would apply for positions to move up in my company, I had the experience they were looking for but someone else who had less experience got the position because they had a degree. So, a friend recommended Independence University to me, she said she loved the support they offered her and they were always honest with her. I called them and was very impressed with their business program and the fact that I could do everything on line so that I could still work and take care of my kids. Since I started working toward my degree I was offered a better position & I'm already making more money! It's a great school, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I have tried to begin to writing reviews when I'm happy with a service instead of only doing it when I'm unhappy since so many people only go to the internet when they're upset. Anyway, I want to say that I'm a current student at Independence University & I'm very happy!!!! I can't tell you how helpful they have been throughout my entire time attending! I attended another online college before this and they only cared about me when I was enrolling. After that, they left me to fend for myself. Not with Independence University!!!! I have tutors available at anytime to help me & my advisors, dean, associate dean & teachers reach out to me regularly to stay in touch & they're quick to respond if I contact them with questions! I have never seen a school "care" this much and I appreciate all the help they give! I look forward to graduating in 2016 with my degree! Don't listen to the other people who are naysayers about this school....call & talk to someone at the University & form your own opinion! Best decision I ever made!!!!!!
This school is a waste of time and energy, If you call the University with questions you get the run around with multiple people under the same extension. The laptop took forever to get delivered, mysteriously nobody knew the tracking number. Now I'm still having issues getting contact through the college. Do not apply here, they are a waste of time.
