So I'm still a student in my first semester! I just gotta say, my whole experience here has been AMAZING. The minute I reached out to admissions and now in student support. I have learned SO much in less than a month and I still can't believe I'm a student here. Because they have open admission it's easy to get into. But the program is actually really hard. You have to be a self starter and someone who can work without lots of direction from professors, TAs, etc. Most vet tech students earn their degree in 2 months (and the school encourages the timeframe) but because many students here have fulltime jobs they take 4 or more years. I decided to put everything on hold and just focus on my studies so hopefully I graduate within 2 years! I don't actually feel like I'm going through this alone either, because there's an online community where students can interact with one another. I feel prepared to get into the next semester and even the students themselves can answer your questions fast pretty quickly. The support just from the online community has been a fun experience. It feels like we really know each other irl and go to school together. Pretty neat! I'm so excited to see what the future holds and where I'll be when I'm at the end of my program. I CAN'T wait!!!

This school absolutely awful. I am in my last semester. Took my finals in July and still awaiting to graduate because they are ridiculous with the large animal externship. It took me 3 months to find a large animal veterinarian to take me on for my externship. Not to mention some large animal vets that won't even take Penn Foster on do to their ridiculous requirements. I'm waiting and waiting for final approval to start my externship and every time they send my paperwork back and back. Even though I fixed it numerous times. I don't recommend this school to anyone!!!!

Don' t pay in advance - if you cancel they don't want to pay you back your money. They don't want to let you talk to the accounting department, to get an Account statement They stated: " The accounting department has no phone: I guess that is why they don't want to give your money back to buy phones for the accounting department. NEVER EVER PAY IN FULL

Please do not waste your time or money on this "school." It is a borderline scam. They refuse to cancel my enrollment after many conversations and they keep raising what I owe them, even though I didn't complete even 1/4 of the program. I am absolutely disgusted with their customer service and the unprofessional way they run things. Be cautious before you give them anything.

As a student, I've been with Penn Foster for many years counting. I'm enrolled in the Vet Tech program. I have seen the College evolve for the greater good and they continue to meet my expectations. They listen to our concerns and always find the best solutions. When I do stumble upon an issue with service, Penn Foster makes sure to solve it with all their resources to make me a happy student. Not only am I a student, I'm also a 2nd year Student Ambassador, a Student Mentor, a board member of the program's advisory committee. I couldn't have made it to those levels without Penn Foster!! The VT instructors strive for student success! We have financial and success coaches to reach out to and help guide us through tough times. We have national veterinary leaders as guest webinar speakers who share their amazing knowledge and skills to help us pass the VTNE exam. I recommend Penn Foster to all prospective students wanting to chase their passion of becoming a veterinary nurse/technician! I'd be happy to assist with any questions you may have: ajn8729@pennfoster.edu (-:

Initially the program was difficult to get through, however once the program director was replaced with Dr.J. H. it was challenging however user friendly. It is not an easy way out but a good program. You will learn and pass the boards. I recommend it to anyone who can't not afford nor go to a brick and mortar institution.

They managed to delay my progress every step of the way. They do not communicate changes to accounts with students. My paperwork was lost after I had sent it in a month prior and it was not until I contacted them that they looked for it and located it. Took me a year to get through 2 semesters because of all the delays. Very unhappy with how they handle student issues and keep track of their students materials.

I wouldn't even give this school 1 star but unfortunely It made me. I fell into financially difficulties halfway through my first semester. When i called the student care to explain to them I needed to cancel my enrollment they were extremely rude and not the least bit compassionate. I was told to either finish the semester of pay the remaining balance of 1300. I don't understand why I have to pay for classes I haven't even taken. That is complete bs. I will never ever reccomend this ignorant school to anyone. They are money hungry and could care less about any of their students. STAY FAR AWAY FROM PENN FOSTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love PF. It is so easy to get my degree and work. The instructors and and student care are always eager to help whenever I call or email with a question! I highly recommend this school for anyone that has other priorities in their life that prevent them from attending another school.
