"I'd like to start with: a lot of the reviews are either about the cost, financial aide, or personal problems. You cannot blame your own issues, misunderstandings, etc on the school. This schools financial aide department is incredible (speaking in terms of the Milwaukee, WI department), they've been nothing but helpful and have given me more understanding on the process than any school has before. The cost is warranted, you're getting a Purdue University degree, great curriculum to learn, and fantastic professors. This isn't a free-ride school. You come down with a sickness, you're the one paying for the degree, not them. They are online classes, you can do this stuff from anywhere with an internet connection and computer or even a phone. They don't have to give you sympathy because you're sick and for some reason can't complete classes that are ONLINE. If you were attending a brick-and-mortar college, you'd be given absolutely no sympathy. However, I've heard from multiple professors that they allow late assignments depending on the circumstances. If you can send them a properly formatted email stating what happened/is happening, they'll most likely understand and give you some extra time with maybe only a small ding in your grade. I honestly feel like a majority of these negative reviews expect to pay $30k and get a degree in 3 months, that's not how it works. You pay the cost, you complete the classes with passing grades, and you receive your degree in the normal amount of time (2+ years) just like a brick-and-mortar college. I absolutely do not regret attending to this school. It's easy to navigate, understand, and the professors are friendly. They try to give you the best experience that they can. I can't wait to graduate and possibly attend this school for my bachelors."

"Although only in my 2nd term, all of the negative comments are puzzling to me. Granted, they are still using Kaplan curriculum, but it is still accredited. It will also take some time to complete rebranding. It is a distance learning environment and you will only get back what you put in. My VA benefits took a while to begin funding, but it was not the University's fault, it was a VA backlog. I have so far had a terrific experience with Professors, Advisors and Classmates. Not looking to quit anytime soon."

"I am a current student of Purdue I was recently affected by hurricane Florence where I lost everything, not even 2 weeks into the course I tried to drop it because physically and mentally it is nearly impossible for me to successfully complete the course due to the circumstances. Trying to be responsible I reached out to the school regarding my situation and I was inquiring about their policies in place for people who has been through a natural disaster, they said I would be responsible for full tuition although there was a natural disaster and they did not have anything in place. I personally no longer want to attend this school because clearly this school only cares about the money and not the well being of there students who is paying it."

"Let me tell you.. If you're looking to save money don't go here! I, of course..fell into their trap of how you'll save money, and they never told me the full price up front. I didn't realize how costly it was until I as already about a month in (past the grace period, ugh) since I was focused just on the school work, and not the cost. I wish I could've gotten a refund since I barely missed the grace period, but I stuck it out through the two months..just so financial aid could pay part of the $3,000 due! i can't transfer any credits from here to another school since I missed a C grade by 1%! I even turned in an assignment a day after I had my baby! You do learn quite a bit, but it's honestly a lot of work for the price you pay.. Not worth it.."

"A true review of a school would emphasize on the curriculum and the process in which it teaches, not the financial aspects of it. How is the school to blame for example, for a person needing to be hospitalized and feeling that she is deserving of something that the school does not agree with? Or perhaps a financial aid situation or money due? This is ridiculous! This is a for-profit program so perhaps it would have been better to seek a degree from a state funded school if your issues are financial-based. I have had nothing but an amazing experience attending this school. I am 49 years old, am studying to obtain my degree so that I may proceed on to study law. Purdue has allowed me to streamline the process, proceed with the portfolio program in order to knock out many classes and I am very close to receiving my degree in this regard. They are unbelievable and the work and classes are rigorous. You must put the work into the program to do well or even pass. It is not easy. I am finding it rewarding and challenging and very satisfying to complete. I do not understand placing the blame on a teaching institution for someone else's financial woes. It is improper and not for this forum. I too will end up with a student loan bill. That is what happens period! I love this school and I owe them a ton of gratitude. S. is my advisor and has assisted me all the way to almost the end of my journey. I would not have wanted to attend any other school and I cannot wait to receive my degree from Purdue, a prestigious institution, to which I owe my future to and of which I am proud to display on my wall once received. Thank you Purdue for making my lifelong dreams a reality."

"Please beware of Purdue Global!(KAPLAN) The enrolment process is fairly streamlined and the advisors are very helpful. The problem begins right after they have you as a student. They completed an unofficial transcript evaluation on my previous degree and told me I would unofficially receive 135 credits of the 180 required to graduate, with this in mind I chose to enrol. I fully understood that being an unofficial credit evaluation, some credits may not transfer, but they only credited me 72 of the 135 credits initially evaluated. I was shocked! After numerous attempts with my student advisor to get the problem corrected, it basically went no-where, so I was forced to withdraw from the program. Very disappointing to see that Purdue Global is very much still acting like a for-profit player and using many of the same deceptive marketing tactics to enrol students it used when it was Kaplan University."

"This school is awful! I was required to submit a verification form and then was told it wasn't accepted, so I redid it and submitted it again and they again didn't accept it. It took several times of contacting them to figure out why they wouldn't accept it. Finally, when the amount of the balance due on my account came it was far past the add/drop date without having to pay and it was significantly higher than what I was told it would be. I then saw that my pell would only cover a tiny, tiny portion of the amount due. I called the finance department regarding the issue and they stated that they can't' do anything to help me. I told them the balance wasn't put on my account till the day before and they wouldn't do anything for me. I then called them again a couple days and what they told me made me think that they mixed up my financial aide with another student. I seriously wouldn't suggest that anyone waste their time on this school. They aren't helpful, they lie, and could care less about their students."

"Hello Please stay away from this school. First the advisors are unprofessional and dumb. Most disorganized college I have ever seen. The hounded me to get my undergrad and grad school to resend transcripts that were already there. I got my undergrad and first Grad degree from the same school. They both was on the same sheet. How stupid could they have not been. Then what makes it worse, when I thought I couldn't go this semester, I sent in an email and stated that I don't think I can do this program. The advisor tried to reach me but I was not able to get back to her in a day. I decided that I could do the program and on Sunday 9/23/18 the course was still on my portal, so I decided to complete the homework and assigments and I submitted them. Financial aid had just sent me award letter that Friday 9/21/18. I calls on Monday because I sent an email on Sunday 9/23/18 that I am continuing and her mailbox was full. How are you a professional and don't listen to your voicemails or answer your emails when you first come in to work. So I couldn't even follow up with her becuase she didn't answer and mailbox full. I called another academic advisor and she told me that the class was dropped. and I stated how when I just got my award letter and I completed the work. She stated, oh we dont work on weekends and the register don't read or check to see that the assignment was completed . I stated , wasn't even given a leave of absense form or program withdrawal form. Oh that is not nesssaryt. I had just ordered the book on my book voucher on Sunday. This is so stupid for them not to see that the book voucher was just used Sunday and the letter was dated for 9/17/18. What part are they not double checking. I just hung up on the advisor because I dont talk to stupid people that dont know the education process. My letter did not state to just dropped that course but to not come to the school at all. I will be trying Univeristy of Phoenix or a class college to avoid this nonsene. Please choice online colleges wisely."

"Absolutely horrible. The financial aid office is a joke. I have the GI Bill and because the financial aid office waited until September 7 to offer an award package when classes started 22 August, I will be done with the term before receiving any aid. I'm not a first time loan borrower, but the school says because I am a first time PG student they won't even request loans until 18 October. The term ends 30 October. I'm a disabled veteran with a wife and child. We're in debt because they wait 30 days to submit the enrollment verification to the VA. We're pretty much half way through the term, my bank account is overdrawn sixty dollars, and I am ready to go somewhere else since researching about Kaplan University. I am ready to withdraw. No payments have been requested. So why not try a real college... Maybe if they fixed my financial aid situation I would rerate them. But they hurt me more than helped me. And they really don't care. VETS STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!! EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL! Those two 'good' reviews are almost positively fake. Just saying I wish I could go back in time and stop myself. Professors were great and helped tremendously outside of the live lectures. I only used the free tutoring for one class, but the tutors were patient, helpful, and spent all the time I needed to better understand a particularly challenging course. "The one-star reviewers likely realized PG is far superior academically to their previous online schools, and they couldn't keep up with the rigor of hardcore instruction and simply dropped out. I was shocked by the staggering difference in academics in taking my first class, and struggled simply for the reason that the school I had transferred from was nothing like this at all. These were real university courses. They made me think, they made me work, and they were hard. The other school did not do this. People would use emoji's and use LOL and other "text speak" to respond to answers for daily questions and the Professor allowed it. At PG this will not fly. I think this is another reason people give it bad reviews. They want easy, but they also want a degree with a university name that means something. But, you have to put the work in to get what you want. Honestly, it was not easy to get in to PG. I interviewed with the representative, my GPA was 3.4 from the school I transferred from and I had to explain to him why I would be a good fit. I have dealt with the same people since I started. I have had my credits transfered from my previous university, I have spoke with Financial Aid several times and had great communication with them. I cannot promise that nothing will go awry in my schooling, but I so far I have dealt with kind and pleasant people who seem to want to help me, and I feel that this institution is giving an amazing gift to those of us who are able to finish our degrees raise our families, and work our 40 hour week jobs. The gift of a first rate education right; from our own homes. So, for me and my family - we are grateful! I am proud to be a Boilermaker!"

"This college is horrible. I transferred from SNHU because I thought I would be getting a Purdue Education. This is not Purdue. It is still Kaplan. Purdue paid a $1 to put its name on it, like companies pay for naming rights on sports stadiums. Still behaving and using Kaplan policies. When filing a grievance, they don't care what FAFSA or Department of Education say. They rule based on "THEIR POLICIES." Save your money and find a reputable college. After transferring from Kaplan, I realize that Accounting degree is worthless. Reputable schools are actually teaching curriculum that is relevant to the degree. What makes this sad is I understood the reason Purdue was pursing this. Its too bad Purdue trustees kept Kaplan's administrative policies in place."

This is my first term and it was hard. I only took one class and they really hold you accountable. Discussion boards and seminars are east points but the other assignments are tough. This is what I expect from a graduate school. Most people think online is easy but it's tougher than what people think. My advisor is amazing and called to check on me half way through my term. I understand the switch from kaplan to purdue was tough. Do your research and make sure you have all the information from your advisor. If you're not pleased, ask for a different one."

The only bad thing I have to say is there Career Services Department lacks the services that other colleges do. At my old school you would go to the career department and they would say something like "go to this company, they've hired out students in the past", or apply for these types of jobs. I've been in contact for a while now with Purdue Global and all I seem to get is a "Good luck apply on your own". Other than that though I would recommend it. Just don't expect any help with jobs."

"Worst experience ever!!!! I started with Kaplan but in the middle of my first quarter they changed over to Purdue. My counselor was terrible. The teachers (not all but most) were terrible. In one of the courses, the instructor talked about how to use the online classroom the whole duration of the course! Each week, instead of teaching about the subject, he would answer questions about how to use the online classroom. Very frustrating. Did not learn ANYTHING from that teacher. Then I had a few pregnancy difficulties during the quarter which ended up putting me into the ER and hospital. I reached out to my counselor and asked to be withdrawn due to falling behind. I was put through a huge loop of different people, offices, and was never explained the policies. I attempted to reach out to her multiple times without hearing from her. So I reached out to someone else that got a hold of her. She told me that I would receive a W for withdrawal on the transcript. I got 2 F's. I kept trying to contact her to see why I got F's. She wouldn't respond. Very unprofessional! I was sent to different people again until the Dean contacted me. He paid me back the money for the classes but refused to reverse the 2 F's! If you go to this school, which I highly do not recommend, use email for everything to have proof of the conversations because they play games of "he said, she said". Wasted my time and money. My cousin also had a terrible experience with the counselor and teachers. Plus her financial aide got messed up."

"I would love to tell you that I made it past admissions but that would be a lie. First off, I never talked to the same person. The first person I ever talked to was male and then some woman. I got sent old paperwork from Kaplan and after sending it in before the due date I didnt hear anything. For the longest the number I was provided to call was actually for a hotel. A DIFFERENT woman contacted me saying that paperwork I sent in wasnt correct so I informed her This is what your employee sent me... Well in the couple weeks it took her to check if theyd accept it, the original woman contacts me to tell me I sent in the wrong paperwork... THE PAPERWORK SHE INITIALLY SENT ME! I finally send everything in that Im assuming was correct.. but during this time Im also working and a week or two pass before I realize nobody has talked to me. No one seems to have gotten the hotel number fixed at the bottom of their emails but I eventually get ahold someone. The person who answers and asked me if my advisor has talked to me lately and I said no. In the process of trying to help get in contact with my adviso he names a man that is supposed to be my advisor... DIFFERENT MAN THAN THE FIRST MAN I EVER TALKED TO! I tell him I havent talked to the same person twice really and who I received my last email from and he sends me over to her, which is the one who sent me the wrong paperwork. Well wrong paperwork lady (WP) sent me an email after I sent her boss my paperwork since she asked her first (remember nobody has told me theyre my actual advisor and my advisor is actually supposed to be a guy). Her boss never told her I sent her my paperwork and then seeing that my mom wasnt taking a loan is when she decided to get snotty. My mom was on the phone with me because shes not understanding why this has been so hard for me. So WP starts getting an attitude with my mom trying to tell her as a parent what she did for her kid so she could attend school and how financial aid wasnt even enough for books. After a little back and forth she transfers me over to financial aid to see what I could possibly do. The people at financial aid are the only ones I didnt have a problem with and were pissed for me that nothing has been clear and I dont know who my actual advisor is. I talk to WO again after financial aid and this rude woman continues to insinuate that Mom isnt that great of a parent because she wont sign a loan for me asked me my age and made some comment under breath and told me we needed to hold off on my admission for a while since I didnt know how I was going to pay. I told her to forget it because this so disorganized and just an all around s*** show. Ive never had my time wasted like this in all my life."
