"I am quite surprised about the negative reviews that I have read.....it made me feel the need to write my own. I started with Kaplan University in 2017 and have not had a single issue with the program. I have had the same adviser since the beginning of my program. Yes, with any higher learning institution, there are professors that are tougher than others but there are also resources available that can help reduce some of the stress. I did have a 2-3 changes with my practicum adviser, but the change didn't affect my progress. It has been a wonderful experience thus far even with the transition to Purdue Global. Students need to understand that online learning is all in what you make it and as adults, no one is here to hold your hand. I started my online MSN journey with Chamberlain in 2015, worked as a transplant coordinator on 36-40 hour shifts 3-4 days a week, raised two children, and switched to a new nursing field (ER) all while getting my RN-BSN which I finished with a 3.81 GPA in 2016. I started Kaplan/Purdue in 2017 all while working as a charge nurse in a busy ER, taking two classes at a time, moved, and got divorced while I finish this degree on January 22, 2019 with a current GPA of 3.75. Unforeseen circumstances befall us all but it's how you recover is what determines your success."

"I had a 4 hour phone call with an admissions advisor today at Purdue global. She basically lied through her teeth about almost everything just to get me to enroll and sign up for school. She told me Purdue global was in the top 5 for business schools in the country which is obviously a lie. I asked her about transferring credits from a community college and she told me they dont accept any transferring credits whatsoever and I needed to get all my credits from them, also a huge lie. They have a separate page with a listing of schools they accept credits from, and at the bottom of the page it says contact an admissions advisor for more information and the admissions advisor was the one lying to me. She told me theyre a non profit organization which I found multiple online sources saying the opposite. Apparently admissions advisors are worse than used car salesmen. I cant believe how much I was lied to from a person thats supposed to be there to help and assist you. Just terrible. Whatever you do, stay far away from this school. Highly dishonest. Cant be trusted whatsoever."

"I am a current student at Purdue university global and started out in the associates degree in nursing but quickly found out there was no assistance to help students understand the material and no one broke down how to answer nursing questions so only those who were LPN'S moved forward. After failing two of those classes I decided to go a different route. My current degree plan is Bachelors of science in health care administration and more of my credits from community college transfered into that program than any other. One thing I disagree with others about is the time in which they give you to complete the work. I have been in 3 classes my last two terms while working 12hr shifts and doing billing and coding classes and still able to maintain A's in all 3 of my classes. My teachers are helpful, the material is taugh so I can understand, but they do need to upgrade the seminar system. Other then that I am due to graduate in June of 2019 and I am praying that I will be able to find a job. Hopefully my military credentials will assist me in doing so. It not a bad school but they could repair somethings."

"I found Purdue University Global to be fantastic in both curriculum and professional instruction. The challenge is not always whats asked of us but what we choose to put forth in our studies. For instance, I learned a tremendous amount about alternative medicine because I read additional books, watched documentary specials and interacted with those in the field. I could also use a lot of this information on assignments so the time learning outside the virtual room was well spent. I think the future of online study will become more advanced as virtual reality gets better. Imagine sitting in a classroom but not really because youre plugged in at home. This my friends is the future of education. I think Purdue University faculty has the right to be reserved in accepting the new online school but please show some class and give this endeavor a chance to succeed because it will! I have one big problem with the way academics works and this seems to be more a fixation on certifications by outside parties. Heres my point, I graduate with a bachelors degree in health and wellness but I dont meet the minimum to apply for a corporate wellness job because I dont have the CHES certification. How is this helping your students succeed when they arent getting the minimum needed to land prominent careers. I feel at minimum since this is a sought after certification that it be offered as an elective class. Im trying to be part of the solution here and not focus entirely on the problem."

"This online course was awesome. I took a few classes at my community college and did not pass. When I attended Purdue Global University I did pass. This school gave me great material to learn and pass those courses. I am a mother of two and I made this happen with Purdue's help! Im absolutely ecstatic i was able to accomplish this and find some better employment! Thankyou!"

"Purdue University Global was great experience for me. I felt that Purdue was extremely military friendly. I did have a few issues with registering for couple classes but it was always worked out between my education center and Purdue. Classes were challenging, but there was always some sort of support from either the professor or a tutor. These classes are not something you could just breeze through, you have to put in the work over 10 weeks to make the grade. I loved the platform, and how most of the professors would work with me as I had to travel a lot. I feel that I did learn a lot from my experience with Purdue Global and that it is helping me with my career."

"If you are an RN pursuing your MSN, I would NOT recommend this program. It is not adult learner friendly. The format of discussion is pointless, unless you want to hone your ability to be pretentious and b******* about why you feel someones theory on a theory is helpful, or not. The seminars are a horrible waste of time. Trying to hear the professor over her children and pets in the background, or long moments of silence when folks are typing..."are you still there?", or no sound at all. This program does not allow you to complete work on your own time. If you have a job and a family, you will be penalized for your"late submissions" that technically are within the week but they have ridiculous stipulations about which days of the week to submit. If you really want to obtain Mastery in your profession, do NOT attend this program. The only people benefitting from this program are the one's whose pockets end up with your hard earned money."

"This school is just horrible. They are not organize at all. I enroll here two times and did not go thru the enrollment. They had my financial Aid package and expected me to go to school not knowing what I was giving. Never Have I ever been to a school where I did not l know what I was getting. I also had to do the orientation 3 times because of my advisor not knowing what she was talking about. I ask to speak to the manager and he was very rude. He told me that If I couldn't do it 3 times how was I suppose to be able to do the course work. My enrollment advisor was also rude. My phone stop working and she sent me a email saying That I blocked her number and All I had to say was that I did not wan to talk to her. I asked for a new enrollment advisor and never got one. I being waiting for financial aid for a month and When I called they said admission said they didn't have my transcripts and I know I gave it to my advisor. She said she didn't send it to them somehow. Now this was literally a 1 day before I started school. They said I had to wait 5 days before I would know and wanted me to start school because I get a 3 day trial. I refused. I told them I would not believe that in least there is a document with my john Hancock on it. This school us for business purpose only not education. Another thing there degrees are not really accredited. I would advise everyone to go to a online school in there state and stat away from this school."

"Buyer Beware! As a former student of Purdue Global (Kaplan), I have a lovely $150,000.00 useless piece of paper hanging on my wall, now for a BS in Health Science. Do not waste your time or your money. I have been struggling to secure gainful employment since graduating. My student loan payments are astronomical and am making less than $15.00 an hour with a Bachelors degree. One would be better off attending a technical college. The instructors were ignorant when it came to the course work. Ive worked in medicine for 15 years and the professors were not very knowledgeable on the Core Classes and would often BS their way through lecture. What a farce!"

"I am working on an AAS degree, having completed two terms (2 classes each), in my third term now (3 classes) and have two more terms (3 classes each) to go to graduate, I will say that I am impressed with Purdue University Global. I was able to transfer all but one credit from a previous college attempt years ago. I am maintaining a 4.0 GPA and it takes study, hard work, and time management. All the instructors or professors that I have had work with students who have life interfere with their school work. The cost is much less than many 4 year colleges out there, with academic coursework that is not easy as many may think about an online school. It takes study and completing the assignments on time to get a top grade. I see many reviews here complaining and the reasons, I have not had or my experience is much different. I keep on top of things and with any distant college, you must, not just let it up to someone else to do what adults should be doing for themselves. If you cannot set your own study plan and stick to it, online schools are not for you. But if you can set a good time management plan, then this way is much less expensive than going to a college campus."
