I received my diploma in medical management and administration and then got my associates through UMA online all the staff was wonderful helpful and caring unfortunately my health has taken a dive and I can no longer work but if I could I am sure I would have a awesome job researched through UMA thanks for all the help
I went to UMA and received my associates in Science with an emphasis in medical billing and coding. I went straight through with a 4.0 which I am proud of!! I graduated in April of 2015 and received a job offer in August of 2015. I was lucky enough to get hired by a dermatologist who owns several clinic's. I am now a medical billing specialist in which I make great money and have wonderful benefits. UMA set me up and gave me the knowledge and tools I needed to succeed in my career. My best friend goes there now as well!! I would recommend Ultimate Medical Academy to anyone going into the medical field.
I, graduated from " Ultimate Medical Academy " January 2010 with a ( 3.77 G.P.A. ) " Medical Insurance Billing Coding Specialist " A.S. Degree / College Diploma. The instructors their was excellent, and the tuition payment plan was ok but they need a monthly payment plan in which at the time was not offered to me. I also graduated from this college when it was "Ultimate Learning Center in " March 1998 " with a ( 4.0 G.P.A. 90 % ) Certified Nursing Assistant , and Home Health Aide. I would recommend this college to anybody .
I was an online student at UMA. The advisers were very friendly and very helpful. I wish I could have met them all in person. I no loner use my degree tho bc the state that I live in does NOT except online degrees. So I now have over $14,000 in student loans on something I can't use. When going for online programs, make sure your State Board excepts the School and or Online schooling in general.
Joining UMA was one of the best things I ever did. I was able to get a degree and everyone was so helpful. They would call and check in with you to see if you needed help with anything and praise you for how well you were doing. It was a great experience. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful school.
I did the online for billing and coding. I owe over 15,000 dollars of student loans and I never ever have gotten a offer or hired in that area. People want others because they have experience and their certified. After you finish the schooling you still have to pay out to get certified. Yes the Carreer department tried and help me get a job but not in the area I entered on school for. So I'm stuck at a low paying job going week to week on paychecks and doing absolutely nothing with my degree.
UMA has one of best online programs out there. It was easy to maneuver through and the professors were always a phone call away. I graduated with a degree in Medical Office Administration and the skills I learned at UMA has definitely helped me in my field.
UMA was a great run when I first started in Sept 2014 but after I enrolled for the second time to obtain my associates it was a big mistake! Back to back calls, hard time getting my money AFTER they received there's. Just a big hassle with this school.
I attended and graduated from UMA and I loved every minute of it and would highly recommend this college to anyone and I have. You must put an effort forth in order to get the education that they offer. From the beginning to the end my advisor was with me. Had a few hiccups from the Financial Aid Department but patience will get you through this. I graduated the top of my class 4.0, a member of Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society, an Ambassador, and was on the student advisory board. I landed a great job all thanks to my career service advisor. Keep in mind though you are not going to land the first job and maybe not the second one it takes a while. I went on 44 interviews but my advisor stuck in there with me. My student advisor was the best. I lived in Arkansas and made the trip to Tampa to graduate. This is a great college but like I stated you need to put some effort in. Nothing comes easy in this life. If you are willing to put the effort in this is the college for you. I had the greatest instructors that were knowledgeable in their field, if I needed help I would reach out to them. If I did not get the response that I felt was needed I contact my advisor and he helped me. GO UMA!!! GO UMA!!!!
If you live in Florida you may have a better time with UMA. I live in Texas. I got my pharmacy tech diploma from here online. Cost $14,000. If I would have went local, (did not know that was an option at the time) it would have only cost a couple grand no more that 2 or 3. I would advise you find a local community college in your area. I did not like student services. It always took forever to talk to the person you needed. I would call, get put on hold, get transferred, put on hold, transferred again, and usually hung up on. Always had to call multiple times.
