Program waste of money, almost $30000 for MAA DEGREE. This school is nationally accredited meaning I would not be able to transfer to Regionally accredited. I'm paying all that money for something I can take at local school for $2000-$4000.... I would get an entry level job making between $8-$11 a hour. The school refund check was $1200 and so much loans taken out verses local community college I wouldn't need to take out any loans. Not to mention Career Services doesn't help assist with looking in same field of work or similar, if they can get you an interview flipping burgers they would. This is all to protect their retention and placement disclosures to be accredited.
This school is a scam I completed my first course all the way until the last day when they suddenly canceled my enrollment "for financial aid" but instead of letting me finish my last test they said that I would have to redo the whole entire course if I wanted to re-enroll so they let me attend for 5 weeks of school and made me pay for a whole entire course when they canceled me I did not ask to be canceled and then tried to get me to retake the whole entire course that I just took absolutely ridiculous they made me file my taxes over 16 times it was a runner-up no one could answer me no one could tell me what was going on and they just kept transferring me it was the worst experience I have ever had in my life I was getting all A's in my class and I was super excited and then this I will never again try to do school online I will stick to local schools
I graduated with high honors, on the honor roll every quarter. I felt the school was rather easy. I had issues with a few of the instructors. One would not answer any questions I had. I had tried to reach her by business phone, cell phone and email. It took over a week to get her to respond. I then was basically blown off with my needs. I rarely reached out for help but when I needed it I felt no one was there for me. My other issue was I was told my cost for Diploma and Associates program would be a total of $17000. When I finished my diploma program I owed with interest $17000 and they want another $10000 for the Associates program. I feel like I was lied to and swindled. My spouse who's getting a Bachelors Degree with an actual university is spending a total of $22000! I feel like I was ripped off!! I cannot say I would recommend this program to anyone just based on the cost factor.
This program was so thorough and detail oriented, I actually learned more than I did at my previous college where I attended in person instead of online! The course work was invaluable and there was always a tutor at my leisure to call and assist me with any questions or problems I may have had. I immediately found employment in my field with the degree I earned from UMA and am very grateful for the experience!
My decision to attend UMA was based entirely on my desire to become the most educated and prepared medical biller possible. UMA is dedicated to providing all of the training essential to student success in the medical profession. The instructors at UMA are some of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They truly care about their students success, and continuously go above and beyond to make themselves available to their students for support, both educational and personal. I am a two - time graduate of UMA, and I will always return to UMA for all of my secondary education needs.
UMA was the first college I attended after 20 years. Programs are phenomenal. After I graduated, my Career Advisor set up 9 interviews for me in one week. I received a job offer the same week. The staff is amazing!! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!
I found it very difficult to get any assistance when I needed it from advisors or teachers. I found several of the teachers to be bias to their own opinions; meaning they would not accept another person's argument that was persuasive. I am now working in a call center as a health agent, that is soon going to be out of yet another job due to open enrollment ending. I needed help with the certification exam and did not receive any until it was too late. I am still paying back students loans for an 'education' that is useless.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with UMA ! I am working in a highly successful medical facility since I started my position I have added credentials to my associates degree. I thank UMA for all my success and for giving me the tools to learn how to learn.
I attended UMA three times for three different courses and I have loved every minute I was there. The advisors were nothing but helpful, and the career advisor was always there for you before and after graduating to help you find employment. The online class was really easy to understand and use and instructors are very understanding and helpful. Communication is the key if you have any problems and they are always there to help. I am happy I picked UMA and you will be too.
This is the best school... C. G. My admissions counselor was the best lady I ever spoke with... she helped me and talked with me.... the process was so easy... im a single mom of 3 with a full time job and I was still able to make a 3.89 on my diploma & a 4.0 on my associates degree... they make it so easy any possible to get a great education
