"I am on track to finish my masters in one year ( with a 2 month summer break, included). I have loved this program. I have found value in the program without wasting my time on a lot of non essentials. You must be self motivated, however, and not need a lot of hand holding."

"WGU is simply amazing. The best school ever, I cannot say enough good things about it. It is challenging, fun and flexible. I started my MBA last month and already finished my first "term" so I've completed 3 courses so far. I can't wait to graduate and apply to be a WGU Student Mentor! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIVERSITY."

"I love WGU. I recently completed my BSN in 18 months, but could have finished sooner if I wasn't such a procrastinator! You must be a self starter to do this program. Did I have kinks, sure! What program doesn't? Overall, this was the best choice for me in terms of flexibility, and affordability. I was able to work full time, raise two kids, and finish my degree on my terms, at my pace. If you want a brick and mortar degree, go to a brick and mortar college."

"Great program which allows you to earn industry certifications, move at your own pace and meet other like minded students. Lots of online resources, tools and books available at your disposal. No need to step foot in any classroom. The only in person requirements are proctored tests for industry certifications."

"I can not possibly say enough GOOD things about my academic experience at WGU! I enrolled in 2012 into the RN to MSN Education program, and with the gentle guidance of several student mentors along the way graduated as planned. The program offered rigor, relevance and relationships to real world settings and problems of practice. I have a Masters in Education from a brick and mortar university so I am able to compare apples to apples, and WGU's nursing education tract was heads and shoulders above in innovation, student-centered focus, advancement of professional practice for both nursing and education and evidence-based practice than my MA Ed program was. WGU offered the MOST academically rigorous program I have ever earned.....fostering independent life-long learning skills and critical thinking based on relevant research based evidence. The program opened my eyes to view my professional practice not as a static, fixed skill but as a dynamic, inter and intraprofessional collaborating, developing and evolving profession which relies on research, expertise and relationships. WGU afforded me opportunities to delve deeply into subject matters and apply ivory tower theories and academic concepts to solve real individual's, family's and community problems. I am appreciative of the WGU team's skill, dedication and ability to deliver such an innovative, dynamic and individualized professional development platform at such a minimal cost. If you are thinking of advancing your nursing education, I at the tender age of 60 and 30 years after completing my AAS Nursing degree, am living proof that YOU CAN DO IT!"

"Graduating from WGU has added a tremendous amount of value to my resume! I say this confidently as one whose career is in the realm of talent acquisition as a recruiting lead for a fortune 500 company. I would genuinely recommend WGU to anyone who does not have the time to sit in a classroom for 4+ hours each day, but sees the importance of an accredited Bachelors degree in today's ultra competitive market. One thing to note, however, is the coursework was extremely challenging so do not expect a cakewalk. You really must study for at least 20+ hours each week in order to be successful as there is either a pass or fail grade in each course -- which leaves absolutely no room for mediocrity. That being said, the course mentors assigned to each task are awesome in guiding you and are available during standard office hours. I would genuinely recommend WGU for a quality education that means something, unlike that other online for-profit university we all heard of :)"

"I don't think any degree program is perfect. But I have learned a tremendous amount of real-world knowledge related to informatics. My mentor has been very receptive, and the same is true for the course mentors. There have a been a couple of classes that could have been presented in a more effective manner, but overall I am very pleased."

"If you are willing to work hard and do the work, your mentor, class mentors, and classmates can help you get through. there were only 2 courses I had to seek a tutor outside of the WGU system. The people who don't succeed are people who cannot manage their time or lives."

"I had a problem talking with the supervisor, they wouldn't get on the phone and had a middle person translating messages. I think it was very unprofessional and wouldn't recommend noone get involved with this school. They are very rude and assume you should automatically no things that was not communicated to yourself"

"I am currently in WGU BS-HR management and I am expecting to finish summer 2017. I had associate degree that I took 20 yrs ago and I attempted to get info from a couple of different online universities. My issue was always tuition. I could not commit $40000-50000 student loan when I enroll for two years to finish bachelor degree as single mom status. After long time research, I found WGU online and started very smoothly without huge financial commitment upfront. So far I am in 3rd term and I am doing well. This is really not for everyone but perfect for the people like me who have long enough work experience to pour that knowledge into your class. Most helpful part is to take one class at a time. Which university does this way? My friend is trying to finish her bachelor degree from local university, working part time keeping full time student status to keep federal grant. She is having hard time since she has always 3-4 classes to study. Since I have one at time, I can really focus and I even feel I cannot wait to study even I am having busy schedule taking care of children's activity. I cannot believe myself that I have this motivation to study! I have never had that when I was younger and forced to study just to pass the class. As WGU was selected 25th in some innovative company award a couple years ago, this university offers really innovative, motivate way to study. I really recommend this online school if you are seriously try to FINISH your degree."
