I will finish the program because I only have 7 months left but buyer be ware. You will fight the administration every step of the way. From onboarding to the program, to making your way through financial aid and a variety of other issues. The left hand of this school does not know what the right hand is doing. Additionally, do NOT trust them to give you all of the information you need. You must be your own advocate and know what you should be receiving from them. I have escalated more inquiries... The school/life balance was not there, they would give you practicum and expect you to take a full class load. This is impossible to do with classes starting every eight weeks and practicum lasting over eight months at a time. You have to locate your practicum as well.

First of all the review I'm giving is to just inform the future students of why I don't recommend this school. Overall IWU is a good school if you're looking to obtain your degree quickly and do not care about of the quality of education you are seeking. The degree program I'm in was sold to me as a Technology degree, it is not, it is a hybrid course geared towards business management and programming. The school being a Christian College asks that you cite Scripture in every class in order for you... Read More

The program itself was okay. Teacher responsiveness has been okay over the course of the program so far. If you want to gain in-depth knowledge concerning the topics at hand, I would not recommend IWU for the MBA program, at least not the online version. All it consists of, is mainly discussion posts with papers interspersed throughout. The challenge level is nill, and my undergrad BME and Econ degrees with several times more difficult. There is very little critical thinking involved or fleshed out... Read More

After one year and with one to go, I withdrew from this program, disappointed. The pace was quick, but the main reason I withdrew was because I was not able to get answers to questions from some of the last few teachers in order to complete assignments, and these teachers had little interest in student success. From the answers I did receive from them, it was evident they were not familiar with the curriculum they were teaching or what problems they had assigned. It was as if they had not even read... I adore IWU and all the instructors. They were so encouraging and kind and really want to see students succeed. I was able to complete my degree with 5 children that I homeschool and keep a 4.0 GPA. They do not overwhelm you with workload but they also make sure you are prepared for your field of study.

When I first started here, I thought this school was amazing, but then as I progressed through my courses, I realized it was not as great as I first thought. Now don't get me wrong I had some great teacher's who really knew what they were talking about and great advisers. But they shove their Christians views in your face, which I don't mind, since I'm Baptist but if you disagree with any of their views the teachers will ream you a new one. Despite the Christian aspect being a bit overwhelming, you... Read More

I enrolled in the transition to teaching for early childhood education. It was a horrible experience. Stay away from this school. They are just out to make money on their online programs. Instructor was bad. She gave little constructive feedback or often nine at all. She definitely was not interested in helping students learn.

I am in my final class at IWU earning my BSM degree online. My advisor has been great from start to finish as has all the other support staff. I started with an AAS degree and all of my classes transferred which was great. Courses are faced paced (5 week courses) and do require good time management, but it can be done if you are determined. The fast pace allows you to get done quickly. The cost is a little high; however the program is very good. I have experienced very few issues that couldnt be... Read More

I am very disappointed in this "christian" school. The online adult financial staff does not follow through with my concerns. I was enrolled and to drop out because of a family medical emergency. The school sent me a bill for books that was to be for my upcoming semester. I tried to explain that I quit well before the previous semester and I had not received any books. It would have been common sense to send the books back, by simply writing, "return to sender" on the books at no cost to me. The... Read More

I am highly disgusted and hurt with the way I have been treated. I enrolled, started a class and had to drop out because I had to (still do) take care of a family member. They are claiming I owe for some books that was for the next semester. The books were not delivered and I keep telling personnel that if they would have come, I would have marked the books return to sender. The books are of no value to me if I'm not in school. Long story short, I have been getting the runaround with no return calls... Read More

Indiana Wesleyan University prides itself on making each student feel they are a part of a family. The on-line cohort groups are small so that instructors are able to give the valued time and attention to each student so that educational goals are met. Each person that I had the pleasure of dealing with from IWU had a very caring heartfelt approach, from the first person who answered the phone when asking about student services, to the advisors and instructors. The on-line program is so well done... Read More

Indiana Wesleyan University Bachelors program was a good program. It was easy to follow and I still had time to work full time and have a life. Just a few fact that you should know before enrolling. 1) Your GPA is based upon IWU classes only once you start. Even if they accept all of your classes they never account for the grades you earned in those classes when calculating GPA. 2) Bible and Religion are required. (make sure you known WHERE you can take these 3) Classes are YEAR ROUND w/ no breaks except the random 1 week breaks 4) Expect lots of discussion boards and at least one paper every week 5) The grading scale is ridiculous...For... I personally feel as if the program is not a superb value. The online program consists of five week courses one after another and it is very difficult to learn anything in that amount of time. The technology is poor and not at all Apple friendly; the technology has caused major issues throughout each course. The books are pricey and are designed specifically for the courses, so there is really no way to get them anywhere else. The group projects are extremely stressful and are very difficult to complete.... Read More
